However, perhaps because it is newer, Cassie Campbell is a little nicer. What I like about it is the giant glass walls that allow you to see outside. It really makes the place seem bigger and non-claustorphobic. The layout of the gym consists of all the workout equipment in the centre, and a track circling around, with the corners available for stretching exercises. Basically every piece of equipment one could need is here, and then some. The membership fees are reasonable. I bought a month pass which is only $40 if you are a student, otherwise its closer to $50. For a one time pass it's $7 for a student and closer to $10 if you are not a student. There are also a lot of other activities and classes since it's a community centre; however, I can only comment on the gym part since that's all I really used. If you are looking for a place to workout, I recommend at least trying out this gym, you might end up loving it. Warning, depending on which side you come from on Chinguacousy you may have to pull a U-Turn to get inside the parking lot lol. . . but bonus though, if you buy a pass to any Brampton city gym, you gain access to all their gyms.

I am not a member at Westmount (it is a private members club) but I have attended events here in the past and have also set up for events here as well. A former boss of mine was also a member of this club and we used to have our Christmas dinners for the company here, it was a highlight of the season. The staff has always been friendly, efficient and ready to help if needed, even if was just a simple question of where the nearest electrical outlet would be, everyone took their time to be of assistance. The food was very good every time I have dined here as a guest, and I have always felt like the chef and kitchen staff took the time and the effort to prepare the dishes well. No wonder this has been ranked consistently as one of Canada's premier golf facilities!

Aside from the Kitchener Rangers games that I must note are a remarkable experience to attend - seriously OHL games are amazing (who needs the NHL anyway). The Aud is also a great spot for Concerts, Events and Variety acts. I had the great joy of seeing both Tim Allen and Russel Peters perform their comedy routines while I was attending Wlifrid Laurier University. The great thing about seeing variety acts at the Aud is that the smaller arena size means that there is seldom a bad seat in the house. You can have a great view pretty much anywhere and the seating is comfortable. Most recently - as in last night - I once again ventured back to the KW area to attend the University night of Oktoberfest. While this event isn't as traditional as other Oktoberfest events, you can still get a fresh hot Pretzel, Bratwurst, hats, lederhosen, drindle and of course Beer! The venue set up for this is great : long tables sit in traditional Oktoberfest style end to end, plenty of ingenius garbage can/table hybrids fill the space and to cap it all off the large stage at the front of the room is a great focal point where all can watch the band play traditional German folk songs and contemporary hits. Love the Aud, if you're in KW and there is something awesome going on here (or need to check out what awesomeness is going on there check the website), I recommend you try this place out! 13/30

The hallways make you feel like you're walking through a psychiatric ward and the locker room makes you feel like you were time-warped to the '90s. The lockers are small and rancid: imagine the smell of curry body odour and old man crotch straps. Barf! I was there for a run, but couldn't wait to escape! Menu - N/A Food - N/A Drink - N/A Hours - 5 stars: It's open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, even on holidays, that's pretty sweet, if you have absolutely nothing to do except go to the YMCA on a holiday. They open at 5:30 AM and close at 10:00 PM on weekdays, weekend and holiday hours vary. Not bad. Location - 5 stars: Not sure if the location actually gets 5 stars or 1. You're right in the heart of downtown Hamilton - ugh, a reaction that, for most people, would be a mix between spontaneous vomiting and a sense of nostalgia for "Old Hamilton". Wait Time - N/A Service - 4 stars: Thank god, the attendant who signed me up for the one day pass had decent manners. She was polite, sensible, and knew what she was doing. This is a rarity in a jungle of hill billy folks wandering the streets of downtown like "The Walking Dead". Venue/Vibe - 1 star: I did not feel safe! From the locker room to the gym, I was clutching my wallet for dear life - no kidding. You will see eyes dart over your valuables. Keep your wallet and phone near you and do not put them in your locker - it's not safe! Cleanliness - 1 star: If I could draw a picture representing the YMCA, it would be a toxic dump. From the lockers to the gym equipment to the hallways and rooms, it looks filthy. You would think that they would invest in renovating this place, guess not. Washrooms - 1 star: A birthplace for Hamilton cockroaches, the toilets and showers are also the perfect place to get your next plantar wart. If you have to pee - or heaven forgive, poop, you'll be sorry if you've got any relief here. Hold on tight. House Rules - N/A Cost - 3 stars: $11 for a one-day pass for the gym, including lockers, sauna, cardio equipment and weights. $1 extra for towels, but towels stunk even before using it - gross. I suppose you get what you get for a "poor man's" gym membership. X factor - 1 star: The only thing special about downtown Hamilton's YMCA is that it's a great place to get robbed when you go for a work out. Even if you dodge the thieves, try avoiding the ancient-dust-gathering gym equipment or landfill locker rooms. Downtown Hamilton YMCA, you need to clean up your act - big time. I came here for swimming classing in the '90s and came today for a workout in your gym; nothing has changed. Splash a coat of fresh paint, update your equipment, renovate your locker rooms; just invest in your gym! What are you doing with all those membership fees for the last two decades? For Yelpers, avoid this "gym" like your trashy ex; this place is a slimy disappointment and makes you wonder why you even considered coming here. Go elsewhere!

I am with rymal road highway fifty three location between upper james and wentworth. Luckily i have funding that allows me to continue, otherwise i would switch to world gym or similar for ten dollars per month or twenty with classes and personal trainers. It was my first time visiting Lions Arena for the free skate. The location has a general change…read morearea, an oversized bench for get your skates on in the lobby, washrooms and people onsite to assist if needed. Children even get the push around to help them. The area is generally matted except in the spectator area. I was visiting during 4-5pm on Thursday and it wasn't too crowded until 4:30pm. Music is played but with the echo inaudible. Ice was decently Zamboni-ed. Parking is very close to the building, I was surprised to get such a close spot, but the lot is quite big. Except additional time to get here during rush hour, as I hit every red light driving here.
