He got us an amazing deal way faster and smoother than we ever could have imagined possible!  Josh Miller with Hector Rayden Realty really worked to build a working relationship so he could prioritize what was most important to us. That initial ground work, plus some luck, means we are finishing this process in under 2 months with a home we are confident is exactly what we need right now.  He cares about making sure queer people feel comfortable coming to him with their business. We found him on www.gayrealestate.com and from day one he made sure we both felt safe talking with him. When I wanted to swing by and take a second look at the house we would eventually buy, he made sure we got to see the house as soon as possible. Furthermore, when he couldn't attend the short notice showing, he paired us with another gay realtor he knew would make us feel comfortable. When I was expressing stress and confusion due to my loan officer not being able to answer in terms I could understand, he gave me his honest opinions and offered to help interpret some of what I was confused about. When I decided to suddenly switch banks even though we were already under contract with our home, Josh quickly found two great banks with specific lenders that would teach me what I wasn't understanding. And they both had better offers than I found on my own. He made sure I didn't feel badly about needing to switch lenders, and helped the transition go more smoothly. He similarly connected us with a myriad of inspectors and repair experts in the area that gave us reasonable and helpful quotes.  We found a great home within a dozen showings that fulfills all of our wishes for our first home, and then some. It is under budget and in a neighborhood I not only feel safe in, but is a neighborhood I've lived in before, which I never thought I could afford as a single adult.  I know it sounds too good to be true, and I am still trying to believe that it's real, but Josh Miller really did solve all of our home buying worries!

Only live here if you are a college student or are moving out of your parents and need apartment history before moving to a real apartment. this one lacks basic amenities you would typically have in a normal apartment. Legally, these "apartments" are town houses. They are poorly insulated (our electric bill when the blizzard hit was 518 $ alone), the plumbing hardly ever works right, (we pay 250 a month in water bills) and the rest of the infastructure is barely holding together. Usually when you live at a place like this, the property owners take out the trash but they don't even do that for you. They charge you 1k a month for a 1 bedroom, 1.3k a month for a 2 bedroom, 100$ per pet.... Living here, you're basically getting price gouged just to endure the ubsurdly high bills. Living in a 2 bedroom apartment, our total bills average out to1900 a month. IF you can't afford to pay 2300 on the worst months I suggest you either live on campus or pay your parents rent a little while longer so you can find the right aparment. Edit: I completely forgot to say that you are paying so much and more than half of the time, our washer and dryer were out of comission. We spent entire months waiting for them to replace our washer and dryer, my brother 2 entire loads of laundry to that shit. Seriously, look elsewhere.
