They do need to figure out a wider variety of things here and probably need to lower the rent because there is a ton of empty storefronts that used to be something or have never been anything yet. I really enjoy the nitrogen ice cream place they have here and they even have an escape room here! There is a nice variety of things here and you can kill a bit of time hopping around the place eating and drinking because these places have pretty good happy hour specials! The walk is always super clean as well and I never have to struggle to find parking when I am here, even on event days!

I love that every year they have new items and I think this is one of the best years. The staff here was very friendly and helpful and even pointed out some of the new items that people were buying the most. I loved some of the new Terrifier merch and even bought a door cover for my place because it was just too cool to pass up! Prices definitely vary but for the smaller stuff and some items to hang around the house/workplace, they are very reasonable. You will definitely walk out of here with something, just like I did!

One of the biggest improvements was the addition of the movie theater, and the interior has been renovated to feel much more modern, bright, and clean. Many of the longtime anchor stores are still here, although some of the smaller boutique shops have come and gone over the years. I also appreciate that there are now a couple of kid-friendly attractions, including a children's museum and an indoor play center. They're great additions for families and are very reasonably priced. The parking lot is large, with multiple entrances around the property, so it's easy to access the mall from just about any direction. There is still some construction in one section of the parking lot that seems like it's been there for quite a while. I haven't seen much activity recently, so I'm not sure if the project is still ongoing. Fortunately, it's limited to one area and doesn't really affect the overall shopping experience. The mall itself is a nice size. It's not overwhelmingly large, but it's definitely not small either. Everything is indoors, making it a great place to shop, walk around, or spend a few hours, especially during Florida's hot or rainy weather. Overall, Broward Mall has done a great job modernizing while keeping many of the stores and features that have made it a local favorite for years.

Sparing you a lot of the details, I received an invite to a private fundraiser party hosted by drag queens. As it was it was for a good cause and because I'm an "easy Marq" as a financial contributor for such events I would of course attend. But seeing how the hosts were financially sponsoring everything involved, I thought it appropriate to bring them some little token party favor gift in appreciation. But what to get them would be the question, as I have no experience with drag. That is, however, setting aside a long 1962 event when, as a college fraternity pledge, my brothers along with our next door sorority sisters dressed me to arrive as the blind of the interfraternity president in order to make him the humiliated laughing stock of an interfraternity garden party as being stuck with a "blind date from hell." LOL! Anyway, I found Illusions Boutique to be loaded with all sorts of things from dresses to large sized (men's size 12) high heel shoes, wigs, makeup, various drag looking accessories and small gift items. The small gift items I selected were some fragranced rainbow colored soap bars which were custom made not only in gay rainbow colors but in varying select fragrances by a person here in Lauderdale. Overall it turned out to be a very pleasant shopping experience and the store clerk couldn't have been more helpful, charming and polite.
