This has been my dads PCP for years and recently he's been in and out of the hospital. When he…read morescheduled to see Dr. Molina's this morning the receptionist informed me that they had discharged my dad as a patient - didn't give any reason. But then informed me of a policy they have in place to where the Dr. can still see him within 30 days of the letter being sent. So she helper me schedule an appointment. I kid you not, my dads appointment was at 2 and he was called in at 3:45pm to speak to one of the nurses who basically told him that Dr. Molina's has discharged him as a patient and he was not going to be seen. When I reminded her of their 30 day policy the nurse told me she had absolutely nothing to do with the policies in place and had no idea what that policy entailed. So, I demanded to have a small meeting and speak to the receptionist who made the appointment. The reception then proceeded to say she had not told us the visit was an appointment but rather an emergency visit since the doctor could not refuse to see someone on an emergency visit. I told the receptionist that she was backtracking when in fact she had told me that we scheduled an appointment for 2pm. And not a once did she mention this as an emergency visit. When I said ok, then see my dad on a non appointment emergency visit they said they could not see him because he already had a PCP at the rehab facility he was currently staying at. So to sum it all up, the staff, nurses, and doctor have no respect for patients. People often say the Valley has horrible medical care - they're not lying.
