As we passed through an area known as the "Garden of England" she remarked that "It all just looks gray, and this may be hard to believe but, yes, some people think this is actually a garden". At the castle stop, she told us all that we could use the restroom if we needed before going on the tour of the tunnels, but because our group was large, we created a bit of a line. I was near the end of the group and when I got to the tunnel door, she told me that I couldn't go into the tunnels because I was late. The castle guide working the tunnel tour then told me I could go in. I mentioned that there were still people in the bathroom who wanted to go on the tour and our guide told me that they would not be able to because they were late- even though she was the one who told us to use the restroom first. Three hours at the castle was a bit long for me so I got back on the bus a little early and found our guide who told me she was "trying to sleep". Two women were late coming back from the castle and she left them there. When someone on the bus asked if they were okay, she told us a long story over the PA about another time some tourists were late and painted them in a very unflattering light. Because the two women that she left were late, we only had 1/2 hour at the cliffs, which was just enough time to walk from the bus to the trailhead and back. I signed up for this tour because I wanted to see the cliffs and did not have enough time to walk the trail at all. We then went back to pick up the women that our guide had left at the castle. They were literally standing by the side of the road. When we got to Canterbury, she said "Some of you signed up for the Cathedral tour. You know who you are" but when we told her that none of us knew if we had signed up or not, she looked put out that she had go through her list to tell us. To add insult to injury, she told the two women that she had left at the castle that they had not signed up for the Cathedral visit. When they insisted that they had paid for one, she told them that it was no problem, they could just purchase another ticket at the door. We only saw our guide between stops- Once we got to a stop and she walked us to the location, she disappeared each time. Then, on the way home, she announced that she was going to walk the rows of the bus "to get to know us better" in what really felt like a gratuitous move to get tips, which she did ask for at the end. Since there was no designated time to eat during the whole day, I grabbed a sandwich in Canterbury and threw it in my backpack, thinking I could eat it on the way back. When I asked the guide if it was okay to eat on the bus, she said "A small snack is okay, but sometimes people try to eat things like hamburgers and it is so awful. They smell up the whole bus. It's awful", so I didn't dare take it out of my bag. When I got back, I ate my sandwich at home at 8:00 and looked online to see how to go back to see the cliffs on my own using trains and an Uber. I really want to go see them, but not with Anderson tours. To add insult to injury, when I contacted the company to let them know about all of this and to ask if it could be somehow resolved, they told me that my dissatisfaction was due was a "culture clash" and chalked it up to stress over a personal issue that I am dealing with at the moment. I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and total disregard for my feedback.

If you are looking to see Stonehenge and Windsor Castle I would suggest you find another tour…read morecompany! My child's #1 wish for our holiday was to go Stonehenge. So we splurged and I thought that was what we purchased. While every email/text I got from them said "Stonehenge" I had in fact booked only Windsor. HORRIBLY disappointing and it felt like a bait and switch! We tried to make the best of it and went on the Windsor Tour, but what a waste of money. The guide, while very nice, didn't come in with us and really gave his opinion on current popular rather than historical information. So, if you want to go to Stonehenge, beware! You might not get what you're thinking you bought. The guide said others had the same issue. And if you want to go to Windsor Castle, take the train, listen to the free castle audio guide because their guide doesn't even come in with you, and save yourself possibly 100 USD/74.02 GBP.

The bus was never overly crowded as there were many buses on the road at any given time. It was great. The earphones were provided at the beginning of the trip. They were only for listening to tour information. This is the first time that I chose to do the touristy thing in London, but it was definitely a memorable experience. I got to see and visit all of the popular tourist attractions. I don't think we missed anything within all areas of Central London. Though it is not necessary at this point, it is something that I would consider doing again.

Very professional, provided wonderful information as we drove to each destination and gave helpful information beyond the tour (such as what to do in the city after the tour). I wish I did this tour on my first day. David has been a tour guide for awhile and it shows. If you do the Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor tour I recommend requesting him if possible. Our first stop was great. Although time was tight because of the amount of driving we had to do, we were given a helpful time frame of how much time to spend at the stones themselves and the visitor center. I'd split my time 50/50 between the two because the visitor center has quite a bit to look at. I loved that my group was a fortunate mix of all very considerate people and we got to the landmark early and was able to avoid the crowds. My group was also small, just 15 people so it didn't seem too hectic to corral everyone. Next stop Bath was very nice and enough time to explore and eat a quick lunch. Windsor was a bit of a whirlwind as it's a huge castle ground but grab the audio tour and listen to the intro portions and that will be sufficient to get an idea of the history. We got back ahead of schedule and with plenty of time to look for a dinner spot. Overall a great way to explore the city. I will definitely revisit this tour company if possible.

He also let me know that the time was changing the night before our tour, which was very useful information as the hotel did not mention anything about a time change and we were not aware of it. David is very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information while driving to each destination. We learned about not only the sites we were set to see but also about the buildings, statues and areas that we passed along the way. We started our day at Hampton Court. David provided us with tips on how to make the most of our time there. We were able to explore on our own and then he picked us up for our lunch break. David had reservations already made for us at a cute restaurant on the river. We ate inside the restaurant and David stayed outside and was ready to go when we were done. The food and service there was excellent. We then continued to Windsor Castle. We were able to take all the time we wanted touring the castle and then shopped around the town afterwards. When we were ready, I simply sent David a text and he was there and ready to go in 5 minutes. We had a pleasant drive back to our hotel with great conversation. Ask him anything about the area and he will be able to answer with confidence. David is also knowledgeable regarding accessibility at the sites. My mom needed to use a cane that day and David was very patient and assisted her with getting in and out of the van. Additionally, we asked David about local markets to visit the next day and he provided us with information on several different ones. We went with the market he recommended and my mom had a blast walking around and shopping. Bottom line, we had a great time, we appreciated his service, and we would definitely book with David again.

In London, we did 2 separate tours, the free 2.5 hour walking tour (just FYI make sure to tip at the end) and the Old City Tour which lasted about 3-3.5 hours. The free walking tour was a great introduction to the city and meets in Covent Garden, which is centrally located on several underground lines. We went through Westminster, Trafalgar Square, and past the National Gallery. We also walked past St. Jame's Palace and Buckingham Palace and through St. James Park. We saw the Horse Guards Parade and witnessed the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. We saw Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the Churchill War Rooms. Our guide was originally from Portugal but really knew his London history and culture after living there for 12 years. He definitely made the tour entertaining and informative. The Old City Tour focused on the City of London (which is actually incredibly small) and its history. We began in Covent Garden and ended at the Tower of London. In between we saw the tower bridge, London Bridge (it's not impressive actually), Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Church of the Knights Templar, Mansion House, the Bank of England, the Royal Exchange, the WWII Blitz area, where the fire of London began, and the barristers courts. We also saw the old jail and the current courthouse. Our tour guide was actually originally from Canada and is a history teacher in London. He was very entertaining, perhaps less theatrical than our first guide, but more historically informed. I believe the tickets were 12 or 15 pounds each. Sandeman's is a great company and I highly recommend all of their tours in the cities they have them in!

We did free tour with Dave. He was super great! When we did this tour it was on and off raining. So these tours happen rain or shine. The tour was focused on the castle aka the royal tour. We were taken to many photo spots and I love all the context we get. Dave the tour guide was so knowledgeable and super kind. On these tour he tells your tips on how to navigate around the city and etiquette. He was willing to give recommendations and directions when the tour ends too. Remember that these tours had a lot of research done and that you should tip as much you think it is worth. These tours are such worth it as they can build some structure on the trip. I look forward booking with Sandman's tour company again. :)
