I tried to write about my experience but Yelp told me I ran out of room, so I'll keep it short and sweet: RUN! RUN AWAY! DO NOT TRUST THEM with your time and especially not your mortgage. Cristie was awful and suggested I fake a disability to finish my deal, when I transferred to Kim she went out of town and let my file go to underwriting with incorrect info and got me denied for the loan they'd pre-approved me for. I wasted so much time and money working with them and lost out on two homes. I am now happily purchasing elsewhere with competent brokers. read more

We could not have been more grateful that we fell into Kyle Bergquist's extraordinarily capable and very fun to work with hands! We fell madly in love with our house on Day #1/2 total house shopping days and then no house was able to compare even close. This was our first offer and thanks to our superstar Real Estate Agent Katherine Walsh's charm, ideas, and personal presentation of our offer, we were able to have it accepted even though we were $55K less than the top bid!  In the midst of all this great news, we lost complete faith in Bank of America, and we couldn't have been more happy to arrive on Kyle's doorstep at Guild Mortgage first thing the following morning! Even though we probably nearly gave him a heart attack with our naiveté about buy a home from afar, we knew quickly that if anyone would be able to pull off securing financing for this home it would be Kyle! We are overjoyed that our experience and assuredly some headaches and challenges our situation may have posed, resulted in a new Professional Loan program for all of Guild! I choose Guild because they could do the MCC credit and I went to a first time homebuyer class with their broker who seemed very knowledgeable. It turned out my broker was very unresponsive - it often took several calls and emails before I would get a response. In this competitive market you can loose a house with that slow response. My loan also closed a little late which had both my realtor and the selling agent very frustrated - not that it being a little late was such a big deal but the fact that there was no reason for it to close late and the lack of communication was the bigger issue. Then Guild promptly sold my loan and lost my first payment. Now I have to spent 30 minutes+ on hold to reach the new loan servicer. Very disappointed with my experience. read more

He was available whenever I had any questions or concerns and guided me through the entire process. Wow... This company was recommended, but I had the worst experience ever! They lost/sat on my paperwork, had to resend it... Had to email them a couple of times a week to see what the status was, only to be told "when they know something, I will know something"... Was told I was pre-qualified, but when asked for a pre-qualified letter to submit with an offer, I was ignored... Being in the real estate business, I will not use or recommend this company to anyone! read more

I do not recommend Guild Mortgage. They didn't complete underwriting of our loan even though they communicated to us that we could bid on houses. We could have lost our earnest money after two bids. They then told us we actually weren't submitted to underwriting, said we didn't qualify anymore for a loan they pre-approved us for, and they didn't have accurate credit scores. They didn't follow through and really left us at a bad place. I'm not one to write many reviews, but our experience was so bad and stressful it's important that people know this before they work with this lender. We were able to find a good lender and purchased a home within weeks after we stopped working with Guild. read more

Absolutely worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with!!! Avoid this place, it has been nothing but a headache since day one. My husband is using his VA benefit to purchase a new home, and this is who our credit union ended up selling our mortgage to. Please read the reviews/complaints online before deciding to use this mortgage company. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. I also should have done my homework when I found out this is who my credit union would be selling my loan to. read more

As a realtor I had a horrible experience with the lender Cristie Stapp. I was representing the buyer and as a result of her lack of follow through, total lack of communication or attention to the timeline or details the buyer ended up not getting the house! She never answers the phone. read more
