I have a love/hate relationship with mall stores like this one. They offer their merchandise at…read morehigher prices to pay for the mall rent. When they have a sale, it's often minor. However, I've managed to get some great clearance deals with The Finish Line, but generally not with their competitors. Today was not one of those days. While they had a couple of sales on Brooks running shoes overall, it looked mostly as though they were trying to clear out the non-mainstream colour combinations. The same model shoe but in a muted or conservative colour scheme was full price. I'm sure they have to do more with Nike, Adidas, and Reebok because most stores will have those. Over the years, I've found that The Finish Line has shirts and other gear on good sales, but you have to keep up with their weekly sales and impromptu mark downs. Two of the staffers asked to help me and one stayed quite a while to discuss things. Surprisingly, there was no high pressure, although they asked repeatedly if I'd like to try something. They were both pleasant, thankfully, which isn't all that common in my experience.

After finding what we wanted we went to the checkout to have the employee stand with her back to us for more than 4 minutes. We were right behind her and she could see our reflection in the glass. When another customer walked up she instantly turned and greeted them continuing to ignore us. She finally acknowledged us after helping the other customer and informed us we were supposed to have had someone on the floor get the other shoe for us and we would now have to wait for them to do that. She promptly went right back to ignoring us. Thankfully another employee heard this interaction and went for the other shoe and ended up checking us out because the girl working the counter was still standing with her back to us.

As a wheelchair user, it was a little bit difficult to get around, but the ladies working really helped me out by moving things as much as they could by bringing me clothes to look at and choose. She took me to the sales area and showed me things and asked me what l liked. She told us the return policy, about where to find coupons, festivals they will be at. She gave me a blue shopping bag to use to get a percentage off each time we shop. We were very impressed! We will definitely be back many times! And I love my purchases!
