I competed the quote that I received from Roy against three other companies in the area, and only one of them came close in cost. And even at that, it really wasn't that close competition, because the quality of cabinet being offered by the other vendor was not nearly close to what Roy proposed. Roy will likely require a few weeks of lead time to order your cabinets, but the quality of craftsmanship and the quality of cabinet you are getting at a significantly discounted price is well worth the wait. He beat all of the others out with regards to quality he proposed, schedule for getting it all done, and especially on the cost aspect. Hands down, I would use Roy and Pinnacle cabinets for any of my future projects.

I called the GM after the 2nd No-show and he never once offered an apology for lack of communication, his personal error in telling me wrong date they had scheduled the service on initial no-show and then failing to contact me to cancel 2nd scheduled service call resulting in 2nd no-show! Finally, he said they would not finish the job unless pre-payment is made on remaining alleged, "uncovered charges" which have not been itemized to me to compare with my policy limitations. He said HW company should have done that, but they've not indicated to me any services other than the initial $75 service fee (which has already been paid) are non-covered. How this guy got to be a GM of ANY company is beyond me and needs serious training in customer service & service recovery... I am prepared to amend or even retract my rating if he does the right thing in my case.

They subsequently went out of business, and I needed new strings, so I found Tringas Music. I told my story to the sales clerk and he suggested I bring it in for a free diagnostic, as their luthier was highly trained and experienced and might be able to make an improvement, but if not, there would be no cost. He also mentioned that they had done a number of fixes on the "repairs" done by the shop I had used. A few months later I did bring my Taylor to Tringas. I talked with Greg Tringas, the owner, who examined it inside and out, and was clearly a bit saddened by what had been done to fix the cracks because of the aesthetics, but told me it was best to leave the repairs as they were. Basically, he felt that the cracks should have been invisible after the repair, which I could see would have been the case if they had been repaired more expertly. That was water under the bridge, but speaking of "bridge", he did feel he could make a major (to me) improvement in the action, explained everything they would do, and quoted me a price. He was very respectful and clear, showing he understood how valuable my instrument is to ME. A few days later they called, and I went to pick it up. I am THRILLED with the playability and sound. This guitar sounds better than when it was brand new and it is tremendously easier to play. I recommend these guys wholeheartedly. They truly know their craft and have top standards of service and art.
