Walked into the store with zero customers in the store. Associates standing around talking but didn't give me the time of day. Was prepared to purchase a starter guitar for myself and an amp but walked out after walking around the store for 15 minutes and not being acknowledged once by a single employee. I'm a big fan of Guitar Centers. Over the years I've bought several guitars and even a drum set from them. This time I went it looking for a keyboard from my son. Let me say right off the bat that I'm not a keyboardist. I know what they look and that they make noise but that's about it. I quickly grabbed an employee in the keyboard area and explained what I wanted. He asked about my son's age, his skill level, and his preferences. Then he walked me through several different types of keyboards and explained the pros and cons of each. He didn't seem to try to push me toward the higher end models but explained why they cost more and let me decide. It was a great experience and I wish I could remember the man's name so I could acknowledge him personally. read more

After the Rising Sons' UHaul of tour equipment was stolen in Shreveport, we had 12 hours til our next gig in Little Rock. We drove directly to this Guitar Center, and every piece we needed (PA, keyboard, cables, pedals and more) was in stock. But more important was the service from the staff. They helped us select the best gear within our budget including finding coupons/discounts, they helped open and dispose of all packaging, load our new UHaul, and we truly felt they were part of our crew the two hours we were at the store. read more

Guitar Center has the best prices on musical gear in Little Rock. That's the good side. The downside? God forbid you need help with anything. I honestly wonder if it's because I'm female. I have gone in that store and stood at the counter (where the strings and effects pedals are) and waited. And waited. And. Waited. I was there almost an hour once before anyone bothered to see if I needed anything. I guess they thought I was there with my boyfriend, who was probably noodling away on one of the guitars, or something. I was there by myself and I had a question about something. The store wasn't even that busy, yet... Ignored. If I was wandering aimlessly around the store, I could see the whole blending in thing, but standing at the counter? Heads up, Guitar Center. I love the Little Rock Guitar center. These people are great! Over ten years, I've bought 5 electric guitars, 2 amplifiers, an 2 acoustic guitars, iRig Pro Studio, a keyboard, a ukulele for my daughter and so many more accessories. They have never let me down in customer service and as a public school employee, I know they give back to the community. I wouldn't buy my musical instruments from anyone else. Every time I check, they have the same prices that I see on the web. Recently I wanted to start recording in GarageBand and their employees knew all the hardware I needed to work with my iPad. All my questions were answered in ten minutes from people who use the products extensively for themselves. Oz the manager is fabulous, he's given me some great deals and when there was some conflict between guitar Center policy and my best interests, he's always taken care of me. I would definitely recommend this music store to any one even if your a beginner at any instrument or an expert at any instrument. I bought a Les Paul here about 4 years ago. The knobs seemed a little off but I wrote it off as being an imperfect Indonesian guitar. One of the knobs got loose and made the guitar quit working. I took it to get fixed and the guy asked who I bought it from used, because they had tried to glue the knobs once. Apparently guitar sold me a refurbished guitar several years ago, at a brand new price. Won't buy a guitar there again. read more

Excellent selection. Majority of employees are well knowledged in their departments. I usually buy guitars and gear. When I decided to break out of my safety zone and get my first synth the salesman was very helpful and I have been having fun with it ever since. I would have given a full five stars but I have gone in a couple of times to buy high end guitars and gear. One salesman was about as enthused as a hickory nut and would walk off and come back, I kid you not, thirty minutes later. I would ask him a question or two about some of the guitars I was looking at then he would walk off gain and then about thirty mins came back and the cycle repeated. The store was basically empty at the time yet he could not help sell me on anything. I came in with a $2,000.00 budget and wearing KMart clothes. I left an hour and a half later empty handed because of him. Something similar happened with another salesman later that looked like they would rather be asleep in the bed of his pickup then help anyone. To sum up it's really a great place with a majority of great and knowledgeable people. But there are a couple of wet potatoes that might spoil the bag and make you want to disregard the whole thing. read more

Today was my second time to do business with the Little Rock Guitar Center. It is always a pleasant experience ! Both times I was waited on by Chris. Today I purchased a Fender Jazz Bass. I was approached by several asking if I needed help while waiting on Chris to complete my purchase. I ask for the guitar to be set up, the technician was on break , but he volunteered to complete the task anyway. I did not get his name but he was a great help ! My wife recently purchased a software product that was not quite what we needed. I brought it back to exchange and was told by the sales clerk that they did not not do any exchanges or refunds for software. I simply asked to speak with the manager on duty. Jeff, came by and started the process rolling with the exchange. I was told it would be a few days because they had to go through the software company for the exchange. So, I go back a couple days later and speak to the store manager, Oz. He looked into it and said that they were still waiting on the software company and he would call me as soon as they heard back from them. So, on a Saturday, Oz calls me and says that the software company still hasn't responded but he wanted to make things right so he told me to speak with the other store manager, Scott. I went back in on Monday, exchanged the software for the actual product I wanted, and spent another couple of hundred dollars on studio monitors. For all the work they did they deserved the extra sell. Sorry, so long winded I just wanted people to know that the Little Rock Store Managers will definitely go out of their way to help you. They still believe in respect, courtesy, and doing the right. This store is awesome and they will continue to get my disposable income when I, or my son, need something. - joe read more

Store is alright! Some of the employee's are well mannered and helpful. Some are plain apathetic. There was one guy with tattoos who would be sitting on the entrance, staring at entering people instead of asking them if they need help. First time I went to the store, I bought an acoustic guitar based on my limited knowledge and some help from one worker. And after 4 months, I take one of my friends to buy a guitar and we bought, but I found out that I was sold a display guitar on a new guitar price. I don't have problems with my guitar so far but I now know that they could have sold me a boxed guitar and they were supposed to do that. As with many people in Little Rock, they also thought I was dumb just because of my foreign nationality (who cares, right!). I would have given a good rating, but the lack of honesty in business and general disregard for wandering customers in the store I have seen twice now forces me to leave a bad review. Bunch of guys with tattoos who don't know anything but play music. However, the girl that works there is very helpful though. read more
