I found this place on a whim and stopped by on a Monday and I am so glad I did! This is a small distillery that produces a wide variety of spirits including gin, vodka, rum, fernet, and brandy which is pretty impressive. Like others have mentioned there's a Montana law that only allows 2oz of alcohol produced on-premise to be served per person per day. This means that you can really only order two cocktails per visit (unless you get a double) and that generally the cocktails are not going to be as strong as other places. If you don't want cocktails you can do flights or tastings of any of the spirits they distill in-house. Because of this law I wanted to try house cocktails or ones that I couldn't find anywhere else. My first drink was the burning through nap-thyme ($7) which was tart and sweet and very balanced. My second drink was the german in paradise ($8) which is a very interesting drink. The spiced rum and ginger go well together on the front and then it's sharp from the herb bitters on the finish. It's a unique flavor profile of spicy, herbal, sharp, and bitter. I want to give a shoutout to the bartender Jordan because he was working by himself on a Monday which meant he was the bartender, server, and cleaner. He was doing it all and moving non-stop while making great cocktails with care and quality. I waited a while for my cocktails but I understood the situation, and not once did he complain about it even though he could've. He was even crushing his own ice with the Lewis bag! Even for the lack of alcohol the craft cocktails are still great here. read more

2 oz alcohol limit so we had to go straight shooter with 8 micro pours to sample most of what they had to offer... First off the Brandy's....the standard was better than the neighborhood version...it reminded me off a weaker version of a classic French Calvados...nice apple nose. Fernet...oily and herbaceous..like it should be. Lighter in the ABV dept. at 35.5 but I dug the taste enough to buy a bottle. The Gins... Perpetuity and Gaurdian Reserve, I preferred Perpetuity, especially for a slightly dirty martini, buit would have been nice to see how they held up in a cocktail on of their cocktails. Rum, bourbon spiced - well this is my jam...spicy, citrusy with a side of sexy.... had to take a bottle of this home as well. The last taste was a whiskey of some sort .... can't remember much so it must've been meh. All in all good stuff and happy to help support the efforts of locals sourcing local ingredients! read more

I like the cocktails and atmosphere, and have received mostly excellent service. There is variability in the servers being professional when I ask for a shrub to be left out of a cocktail. I don't think it's a big ask to request that an ingredient I find unpleasant (I hate vinegar) be left out -- it's not like I am asking them to make substitutions. I've had two servers suggest that I drink the cocktail as written because shrub is a crucial ingredient, and a third tell me to try a cocktail designed without shrub for the same reason. I appreciate that you develop your cocktail recipes with care, but I don't think it is insulting for me to ask for an ingredient to be removed. I've always enjoyed the cocktails even with a missing ingredient, thanks to my unrefined palate :) Edit: I want to add that I don't think people should remove stars or think negatively about this business because of how limited they can be in what they serve you. They are simply following state law. If you would like this business to be able to serve you more than two ounces per day, please contact your legislators -- the other distilleries around Montana will appreciate it, too. read more

Great little place that probably doesn't get the foot traffic it deserves because of it's location just off the walking mall! Incredible cocktails and super service from the bartender. I was seriously impressed with this place! I'm kind of whiskey lover and I have to admit, their Flying Anvil Single Malt whiskey was fantastic....so much so that I bought a bottle to take home! My wife really liked the apple brandy! Great quiet atmosphere on a Friday night! We grabbed a cribbage board we saw on the shelf and just had fun playing cribbage and sipping cocktails and whiskey with friends. Will absolutely go again! read more

Save your money and save yourself from being disappointed. Worst drinks I've ever had and worst distillery experience. Bartender that made the drinks was named Jordan and I actually think he made my whiskey soda shitty on purpose. There was zero carbonation and couldn't tell their was any whiskey in it. Took 30 mins to get first round of drinks. I know the weak drinks will get blamed on distillery laws of only being able to serve 2 oz but this was not the case I love distilleries and been to many others in the state of Montana that are amazing. read more

I really enjoy this place. The drinks are tasty and the atmosphere is quirky, yet chill. I like that since it is a distillery you can only have two drinks which means you have people enjoying themselves and not sitting around getting drunk. My favorite drink (so far) is the house special. It's something like lavender bitters, honey, vodka and maybe ginger? Wow, absolutely the WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED ordering a few cocktails. We came in for our school fundraiser and immediately were treated poorly because we were inside ordering our drinks rather than outside. There were only a few other patrons inside and they all had drinks so not sure why this was a problem. We proceeded to order our very expensive drinks, of which we are only allowed 2, and my friend ordered a gin and tonic with extra lime. The bartender very rudely told her "that's not how that drink is made, it's made with grapefruit. " We thought he was joking, asked again, and he literally acted like we were the trashiest people he had ever seen and repeated himself. I then said, "well, she likes hers with limes, do you have any? " He said yes and I said great, extra limes please. He looked like a child about to throw a tantrum and then said, "Fine just so you know, there's a lot of people ahead of you so these drinks are going to take a long time. " We went out to the fundraiser to enjoy some music and donate money. Waited around 20 minutes for our drinks, and imagine that- we got a gin and tonic with not extra limes, but zero limes and grapefruit. We told the waitress and let her know that he was also rude to us and she said she'd fix it. 15 minutes later she dropped off a shot glass with 2 tiny limes, not even bothering to remake the overpriced drink. During that 15 minutes , the rest of us realized that all of our drinks most likely didn't even have alcohol in them. They were horrid. We knew there was no sense in complaining to the best bartender in the world so we choked them down and left. I actually stopped going to this place because a few years ago I was in and I requested no straws. A man with a handle bar mustache basically told me I had to have straws and put them in my drink, and was supee rude about it. I will never drink this distillery's products every again, nor will I step foot in a place with such a snobby, narcissistic energy. The drinks are terrible, just like the service. read more

Some of my favorite cocktails anywhere in Montana. As good or better than more expensive ones I had in Portland, OR. Reasonably priced, very friendly service. Drinks not overly sweet, with many subtle flavors, thoughtful compositions, and interesting concoctions. Spirits are great straight as well. The space is cozy. This is a great place. The staff is very knowledgeable of the business. For those who don't live in Montana, distillers are not allowed to serve food and you only consume 2 ounces per person per day in the establishment. You can buy the bottles. We came in the last hour of opening for the night, so we weren't able to tour the distillery. The artwork in the building are made by one of their own employees. My favorite was the vodka and they made the best mule! Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Cocktails are spendy with the average drink at $7.00 and they are only allowed to serve two oz of the sprit per person per day. Other than those two things it was great!! I had the Montana Jackass (much like a Moscow Mule) and added jalapeño. It was delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and great for catching up with friends. Very nice staff. The Triple Divide Tasting Room is a refreshing change to the usual bar/casino atmosphere. Since they can only serve the products made in house, and in limited quantities, they set themselves apart by offering very unique and original cocktails. I was amazed at what they did with both sweet and spicy. And their weekly special is awesome, and the atmosphere is well suited for groups of friends who normally don't go out to bars.
