But I'm also probably being to lenient. Went in one day for some cheap hubcaps for a car my friend purchased which has ones basically rotting off. I knew the size needed, 16 inch. So I see the sets of 16s and ask an employee there, a really tall guy. If these would fit this specific model of vehicle with stock original tire layouts. He said, well are they 16s? I said, well Yes. And he replied with. They will fit then. I immediately knew that wasn't a correct answer, also note I had not told him yet what type of car it was yet. I asked well can you look up in your system to see if this "Part" is compatible with the specific vehicle. He said they can't do that. They don't have a system for that. Which is absolutely nonsense in inaccurate. Any major auto store has a system for making sure parts are compatible. Had a similar situation with hubcaps many years ago and Advanced auto parts confirmed it would work with the car. Not only that 16 inch hubcaps are not universal to all 16 inch wheel frames. So the statement of if they are 16 inch then 16 inch caps would fit is not correct.

I explained that I couldn't be without a vehicle for that long, especially since the issue was supposed to be handled under warranty. I understand that parts can sometimes be delayed, but better communication and planning would make a big difference. The sales experience was great, but the service department definitely needs improvement when it comes to warranty repairs and scheduling.
