Have done business with Coastal Shade 5 years ago, they did excellent work…read more But had to replace original Sunsetter Awning, after installation of this new awning rhe pitch was not set like our first awning, it's is an easy adjustment. When I set the pitch it was discovered that the awning was not installed correctly and was not centered on the patio, causing one side of the awning to strike our gutter. I called Coastal Shade, the would send a technician out to make proper adjustment for a service fee of $79. The person they sent out was Ricky , a salesman. He arrived with No tools or ladder to adjust the awning. He ran the awning out it hit the gutter, he advised they could adjust the awning correctly, but there would be a $225 fee???? Coastal Shade wants me to pay an additional $225 to correct what was ultimately an installation mistake. Now the awning can not be fully extended. My experience may not reflect everyone's, but I want to share it so others can make an informed decision

What an easy and fantastic experience! Eric the owner,…read morescheduled the salesperson, handled the pricing, and scheduled the installers. Ricky the Salesperson who came in measured and gave us options. Once the product and pricing were determined (lower than 3 other quotes) we placed a down payment on the shades. Holly handled that with no issues About 4-6 weeks later Eric called to inform us the shades were ready and scheduled the installers. 3 guys showed up and within an hour and half they were done. Polite young men! The shades were beautiful and perfect for what we needed them for! Holly called again and we paid the remaining balance. Great customer service too!

Hired Bryan Torres / Elevate Patios & Renovations -- Serious Issues…read moreI hired Bryan Torres of Elevate Patios & Renovations (also operating as Elevate Construction and Remodel) for a residential renovation project including a front gable patio construction, front door installation, and stone and masonry work. Total contract value was $13,300. I have paid $12,000 to date. Issues experienced: The double door unit I supplied, valued at $2,300, was installed off-center. Because of the off-center installation the threshold cannot be properly fitted, the door cannot latch at the bottom, and the door handle was never installed, leaving my home unsecured. The staining on the doors is incomplete and uneven with no clear coat sealant applied, leaving the wood fully exposed to the elements and at risk of warping. The patio construction is approximately 30-40% complete. The cornice, soffit, and shingles remain unfinished. Windstorm corrections required by a licensed engineer have not been made despite the drawings being available for over a month. Interior repairs including sheetrock, trim, electrical, and paint -- all made necessary by the defective door installation -- have not been addressed. After multiple failed attempts to contact Mr. Torres and a formal demand letter sent via certified mail that went unanswered, this matter is now being pursued through Brazoria County Justice of the Peace Court and a complaint has been filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). A search of the Texas Comptroller's records shows no registered business entity for either business name.
