Can feel like the weight of the world just fell on you and then you're forced to find a nearby solution but gotta say: Richard and Big Tows not only offers that affordable solution but more importantly; a savior! My very best employee, who also happens to be the youngest, just began working for the company and within the first month of his start date he was forced to call me and regret to inform me that he would not be able to make it into work which of course I was very frustrated to learn but then he told me that he was stuck on the side of the road because he was actually already on his way to work (early) and had a serious [scary] break down so then my frustration immediately shifted into concern for him and I asked if he was okay and if there was something I could do to help which of course he said he was fine and that it was his to figure out but I pulled the "boss" card and insisted but he explained "there is no way you'll be able to find someone to come out here in the middle of the highway nowhere near either nearby city and especially not at this hour before 0600 am!" And at that point I even lost hope, especially after trying to make some calls to find someone but then I stumbled across Big Tows and the rest is history! Richard made the entire process so very easy and was able to locate the vehicle even with our limited description and he just put us both at ease; not only offering clear expertise throughout the entire process but did so with a smile and genuine friendliness that was so very needed in that moment. So fast forward two years and of course that "new" employee now runs the show and he's not just an employee anymore but now considered family and honestly I gotta say the same for Richard and Big Tows because they have been our "go to" every single time we're in need and not only just once or twice but nearly a dozen times across multiple vehicles and multiple people we have sent their way but every single time they show up its always just like that very first time: truly a Godsend offering the very best service without the outrageous price tag; you have to give them a call and you'll be singing their praises just as much as we do!

My wife is a professional singer who sometimes does out-of-town gigs and has to drive home long…read moredistances, alone, at night. Her Toyota Highlander has been great and reliable transportation for her and her music equipment... until last night. On her way home (Dickinson area) from a gig in Palacios TX, she had an electrical system malfunction, that resulted in the motor dying (among other things). Thankfully, the band leader and his wife were there to park behind her and push her car off to the side, out of the lane of traffic. The first tow company they called was unavailable, but they recommended Richard Valdez of Big Tows who thankfully was on duty and available. He was there in less than 10 minutes, had her loaded on his heavy-duty flatbed quickly and began the 98 mile (per Google) trip toward home. I can't even adequately express how grateful we all were to find Richard and Big Tow. Getting to know him personally was even better. My wife said on the phone that he was extremely kind, reassuring and immediately got her into his cab out of the night air and potential traffic danger. Once they were here at our house, I found out everything she said was true; friendly, funny, professional and very fair. I could go on longer, but to conclude, if I lived ANYWHERE near El Campo and needed a tow at any time of night or day, I would absolutely call Richard first (uploaded a pic of his business card). And, even though we live about a hundred miles from there, I guarantee he will be our first call if we ever need a tow anywhere, because you never know if he might be available. This husband is so very grateful to Richard for being so kind and reassuring to my wife, who was experiencing her first breakdown, at night, in unfamiliar territory. What was a very unfortunate experience for us was resolved in the best way imaginable, for which we will always be grateful. Thanks again, Richard, and Big Tows LLC!

I have never had a bad experience with Uhaul. On the contrary, I would recommend this company to…read moreanyone. However, the service at the OG auto sales in West Columbia, Tx was HORRIBLE. The person there wanted to charge me to park the hitch attached to the uhaul truck and clean it before he had inspected the vehicle. I left it as clean if not cleaner when than when I received it. He also asked me to "sweep" the Truck floor bed or I would be charged extra for him to have to do it. He also had the audacity to say he wanted to "social distance" so he couldn't look at the truck floorbed because "we were standing there". I then told him if you're so worried about social distancing then you should be wearing a mask. I told him I shouldn't have to do any of the above because that was not specified in the contract nor was I told or was it written anywhere in my contract that it had been done nor that I needed to do it. He called his "boss" and I was sent a receipt not having to pay anything extra. The idiot working there is an incompetent fool and should be fired. I should have been never asked to park and unhitch the truck or be charged for it nor should I have been asked to "clean it" when it was already as clean as I had received it. I would rate this place 0/5 if I could and Uhaul needs to better regulate its private subsidiaries.

I took my car there because my passenger tire was wearing on one end but not necessarily having instability and took my car to this shop. After their revision they said I would need front strubs, sway bar links, front tires and alignment, i was told it would cost me $ 1268.00 for everything including $ 100 for alignment, $ 350 labor and the rest for parts and labor. So I would not waist time, I went and purchased the parts and brought it back. By that time, they said if I brought the parts I would be charged $ 650 plus allignmnet with no warranty. I asked why because was told a different amoutn but they were unable to respond to me. I decided to take it somewhere else where all it actually needed was the tires to be balanced and charged $ 104.00. Just over $ 1100 more than what they wanted to charge me. BE CAREFUL !
