Both the vehicle owner and I reached out several times via text and in person for updates, but received no clear communication. Eventually, Matt, the owner, stopped responding to my messages altogether and gave the vehicle owner vague excuses about being a "one-man shop" and "too busy." When the vehicle owner went to retrieve the car, Matt handed him the keys--but still had not provided any professional diagnostic report or service. As the owner attempted to leave, Matt blocked his vehicle in and demanded payment for a diagnosis that was never completed. Shortly after, Matt contacted Campbell's Towing, who illegally towed the vehicle. Matt continued to demand payment and used the towing company to try to collect $150 for services never rendered. When I arrived, the situation had escalated. Prior to filing a tow hearing, Campbell's demanded $150 to get the vehicle. (Audio recording is available) After filing a case in tow court against both Hudson Autowerks and Campbell's Towing, Campbell's increased their fee to $345.18 to release the vehicle. Ultimately, we won the case and were awarded the full $345.18 and related costs against Hudson Autowerks. This experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, communication, and ethical business practices.

He was very rude, I said it was bad customer service & he responded "you're not a customer & you'll never be..." He was recommended very highly by another mechanic, he didn't mention anything about his attitude. He said you have to talk to him first on the phone, but every time I called I had to leave a voice message, he said he gets right back right away & it says that online, but that was not my experience, he was yelling and almost cursing, this is not a good environment, he said he was the owner, & he does the work he wants to do, if he's really the owner, he should be ashamed at how he treated a potential customer.
