If you are considering surgery with Dr. Butler or anyone at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery, I strongly encourage you to read this review carefully. I underwent a primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Butler in July 2024. During my consultation, I clearly stated my two main goals: reducing my dorsal hump and lifting or rotating the nasal tip. Dr. Butler told me that my tip angle was already appropriate and that reducing the dorsal hump would cause the tip to "fix itself." Although I questioned this explanation, I trusted his professional judgment and proceeded with surgery. From the early postoperative period, it was evident that something was wrong. Even with the cast still on, my nasal tip appeared droopy and unsupported. I also want to note that no taping or support was ever used postoperatively to help maintain tip position. I was repeatedly reassured that this was normal and advised to "give it time." At cast removal, the issue became more apparent. Although swelling masked some of the deformity, my tip remained rotated downward, consistent with a developing pollybeak deformity. I again raised concerns and was told that all swelling had "settled into the tip" from the cast and that there was nothing to worry about. Between two and three months post-op, after moving out of state, I sent multiple emails to Dr. Butler's nurse expressing concern about my collapsed, downward-drooping tip and a prominent bump at the tip of my nose that appeared to be protruding cartilage. These concerns were again dismissed and attributed to swelling due to my being "very active," and I was told I would need to wait until six months post-op for evaluation. At my six-month in-person appointment, my appearance had not improved and had, in fact, worsened. I raised my concerns directly with Dr. Butler regarding the obvious pollybeak deformity. His response was dismissive; he stated, "Someone's been online, haven't they," and told me that my nose looked great and that he "wouldn't have changed a thing." No revision, corrective plan, or financial accommodation was offered. Following this appointment, I consulted with three well-known U.S. revision rhinoplasty specialists, all of whom independently confirmed a clear pollybeak deformity, a droopy and under-rotated tip, and protruding cartilage irregularities. Ultimately, I required revision rhinoplasty at fifteen months post-op, at an additional cost of $15,000. Several months after my surgery, I reviewed the practice's website and was shocked to find my photos being used in a misleading manner. Although I signed a photo release, I did not consent to false or deceptive representation. The photo labeled as my "before" image is actually my six-month post-op result, while the photo labeled as my "after" image appears to be taken within the first month post-op, when swelling temporarily obscured the deformity. The website claims the "after" photo was taken at four months post-op, despite me not having a four-month appointment. If my nose truly "looked great," it is concerning that my unsatisfactory six-month result was used as a "before" image. I have attached screenshots and accurate before-and-after photos for reference. I reached out to the office to express my concerns regarding my postoperative care and the misleading use of my photos and received no response. I am sharing my experience so that others can make a fully informed decision and avoid the physical, emotional, and financial distress that I endured. read more

Now that I'm 7.5 weeks post op I feel ready to share my review. I underwent a mastopexy and breast augmentation with Dr. Butler on 11/15/23! From day one (consultation) to Friday (6 week post op check) every single encounter has been wonderful. Dr. Butler and the office staff have gone above and beyond for me. He was knowledgeable and gave a very thorough explanation of the process. I had the surgery at North Florida surgery center in Pensacola. Everything went so smoothly, and the nurses/anesthesiologists were great. Recovery was smooth, one small hiccup that was addressed immediately and resolved! I had an appointment in February. I was told it should take about an hour so that and travel to and from was how much time I made arrangements for when leaving my school. When I got there it was about lunchtime and there was no one in the lobby. I had completed all my paperwork and thought I was about to go in when a male (not a patient and known by some of the staff) was told to "come on back". This visitor took up all of my appointment time with Dr. Leveque, and when she finally came in; after I heard her wrapping up with her visitor outside the examination room door; she was very dismissive of the fact that I told her I had been waiting nearly an hour for this consult as a new patient that needed her services hut had run out of time. Her words were, "Listen, Do you want the consult or not, If you need to reschedule then reschedule?" I felt very disrespected and disappointed in a seemingly reputable business. I told her no thank you and I did not expect to be charged she said I would not be. I was not planning on writing this negative review until I got an email from my insurance saying that my claim for the consult at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery had been processed!! I lost my brother to cancer and lost alot of weight too. I was desperate to feel happy so I set out to improve my much thinner, tired, sad facial appearance. I had had fillers and botox in the past and since I was older and thinner, I agreed to more Botox than in the past. It turned out to be too much for my face, and my muscles relaxed to the point of almost sliding off my face! These kind people refunded the cost of the Botox promptly and offered to help make the outcome right, although it was solely the result of my choice. Here's my advice- If you've been through a traumatic event and/or have lost alot of weight, WAIT awhile before getting a cosmetic procedure. Negative would be my rating...My experience was less than pleasant with Dr. Leveque at Gulf Coast plastic surgery..::My surgery was in October of last year, my consultation in July 2021 with the expectation and request for a reduction and implant removal. I was not happy and expressed that I wasn't happy and she asked to me to wait for a while to see what size I'd be once the swelling goes down give it six months and will reevaluate. April would be six months I lost my father that month I was mis-scheduled by their scheduler by mistake with Dr. Butler and I called asking what was going on with that she rescheduled me a lot of our times didn't meet up I need a later appointment during a previous appointment Dr. Levesque advised she would remove my implants that were different sizes in the office let me wait another six months for swelling go down to see how and what size.. and then go in and do the reduction....I decided I was not comfortable with that and today and have this conversation that I was not comfortable with having my implants removed right there in the office off of Davis Highway after an hour in our conversation my appointment was at 2:45 I left there at 3:50 in tears with her saying she did not feel comfortable and didn't feel like she could make me happy when I stated all she had to do was exactly what I asked for and that was a reduction with no implant had she told me I should not take out the old implant and put a new implant in I would not have done that but I took the advice of my plastic surgeon initially I so regret that now. Also do not feel safe with questions and emailing the stash as I was told I could ask any questions email anytime I wanted therefore I did all of those questions being inquisitive as I am were thrown in my face Stating she didn't think she could make me happy. Do not use a gulf coast plastic surgery if you have the opportunity to use someone else at this point I do not have that option unfortunately but you still do! Probably not the review Dr. Leveque wants her patients to write... ...but I have to tell you that, for me, this was as much a spa procedure as a surgical procedure. I'm sure Dr. Leveque doesn't want her patients taking any of these surgeries lightly and this review might make one think I did. I didn't. I was terrified! I am 55 years old and have been fortunate to be healthy all my life so this was my first surgery. I had no idea what to expect so I expected the worst and it was anything but. Dr. Leveque's staff will make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. I paid to consult with two other surgeons before meeting Dr. Leveque but I knew she was going to be my surgeon as soon as I met her staff. Dr. Leveque is down-to-earth, funny and comforting. She answered all my questions and didn't seem to mind when I came back a second and third time with additional questions. A week before my scheduled surgery, Dr. Leveque helped me decide to opt out of one procedure because it might not give me the results I was expecting. Even cancelling this procedure a week before my surgery date, she wasn't upset at all. I'm not sure I would have been so gracious. lol The day of surgery I was trembling. I arrived at the hospital and they took me right back. The pre-op nurse was fantastic. I explained that I was very nervous and she arranged for me to meet the anesthesiologist right away so he could give me something to relax me. They set the IV, gave me some meds and the next thing I knew, they were waking me up. Seriously. A week after a breast-lift, a face-lift, a brow-lift and a neck-lift, I can tell you that I have had no pain, just a little swelling and bruising. I have taken no pain meds, only a Tylenol for a slight headache that was probably due to the anesthesia. If you are thinking about any type of plastic surgery, meet with Dr. Leveque. Over the last 6 years, I had lost quite a bit of weight. At 51, I was getting asked on a weekly basis if I was pregnant. The weight was gone but the extra skin was still there. IF I had known 6 weeks ago when I made this Breast Implant/Breast Lift Consultation Appointment with Dr. Leveque what I found out today I never would have paid $150 for what I experienced at the Office in person today with my Ukrainian GF. So, In ALL Fairness to Doctor Leveque and her entire Staff I will state upfront that my review is ONLY for the Breast Augmentation and Lift Procedure Consultation we had done today. 1. We were asked to show up 30 minutes early to spend 15 minutes on a PC filling out electronic forms. We got it all finished by 1248hrs after walking in the door at 1230hrs. Awful weather. 2. We were late getting in for our 1300 Consultation. 1313 was our walk through the door time. 2 other patients who showed up after we did went in ahead of us. 3. Once we were shown to Examination Room #8 we ended up waiting another 45 minutes before we actually got to meet Dr. Leveque for the first time. We were attended to by the staff and the offer for refreshments was appreciated. We were asked the exact same questions that the Electronic Forms Software asked us BUT the Assistant had to fill out more paper forms and apparently it is easier to simply ask the patient the same questions again than to transcribe the data in the first place. I griped to the Office Manager and she was very attentive to my gripe. 4. I cancelled my 1430 Appointment since the Office Manager advised me the Consultation would take at least 30-60 minutes. She advised me at 1350hours. 5. Dr. Leveque was very professional but kept leaving the room to have her 'Assistants' conduct Implant Selection and Fitting on my GF. Overall a positive experience but there is a lot of room for improvement. 6. After almost 2 hours we figured out that the reason we had so much 'Sitting Around Time' was because of all the other Patients Dr. Leveque was seeing during our Consultation time. Multiple Exam Rooms and Multiple Patients because of all the Multiple Procedures this business offers. 7. We were NOT afforded the 3D Imaging Service, Vectra XD, that is so heavily and beautifully advertised because the machine will not show a woman's new implant size IF she is also having a lift procedure done at the same time. Unfortunately this information was not clearly disclosed on the website OR in the beginning. The ONLY reason I chose this Office was because as a man I am a visual creature. I was more than willing to pay for the 3D Image that I never got. 8. The advertised website price for this service, Augmentation and Lift, was supposedly $5400, however the Bill Total minimum quickly escalated to $9,100 because Dr. Leveque ONLY operates out of the Gulf Breeze Hospital OR, the Hospital Charges separately, the Anesthesia Doc is separate, the Implants are separate, you get the idea....I state MINIMUM because we were clearly briefed that there could be other expenses....Medications, ECGs by the Hospital, etc... I simply rounded up to about $10,000 for a Boob Job and a Lift in Gulf Breeze. 9. I am a Pensacola Native and I would never have agreed to the Gulf Breeze Hospital OR as I get the SMS Messages everyday on the nightmare traffic issues on the 3 Mile Bridge. 10. I paid $150 for a $50 Consultation today. 11. SAVE YOUR MONEY. 2 other Local Plastic Surgeon's charge $50 for the same Consultation with no 3D Imagery misleading promise and probably get the whole thing done in the promised '1 Hour Consultation'. This whole procedure could have been accomplished in 30 minutes. The easiest part was for the patient to put on a sports bra, shove in some recommended size silicone implants, lift them up for the lift effect, put on a T-Shirt, and decide to go smaller or bigger until just right. 12. We left after 2.1 hours knowing everything we needed to know. Prices were guaranteed for 6 months. 13. My GF is going back to Odessa to have the exact same procedure done in a Private Hospital owned by the Plastic Surgeon for $4,100. She told me she felt much more comfortable with her male Ukrainian Plastic Surgeon and his presence and especially his bedside manners for the entire 45 minute consultation. She did not like the overall experience with Dr. Leveque and I clearly understand why after sitting by her side for the whole ordeal. 14. I am seriously considering calling Visa and refuting the charge. I'm willing to take this to Arbitration given the overall website advertising and the actual experience. I had gotten out of my normal skin care routine for the past couple years after finding the information and product recommendations I had been given by multiple "skin care specialists" seemed no more useful than what I have researched myself online. I felt like Tonya was very knowledgeable about what my skin needed and gave me a very thorough consultation with great product recommendations. Here's how it went: Arrived at the clinic, explained what we wanted (mommy-makeover with lipo on the legs, abs, and abs muscles tightened) with Dr. Leveque, then we were taken to another room where we spoke to someone (nurse? intern? secretary? Who was she and what was her job?) who documented what we had talked about with the doctor where she listed all the things we wanted, tallied them up and gave us the cost estimate (over $24K). She then asked "Would you like the belly button relocated?" We had no idea what that had to do with anything and we asked her why to which she said, "Some people do that with abdonimoplasty." We asked if it was necessary and she said "no" so we didn't add it on because this was already expensive. My wife went through recovery, but we noticed that she still looked as if no fat was taken off of her. We thought it was due to swelling and that she would slim down in time. We also noticed that her belly button looked weird now and we complained about it. The "doctor" showed us pictures and said that it was in the same place as before. PROBLEMS: Because the abdominoplasty shifted the skin around, the area between the belly button and breasts is less. Yes, techinically the belly button is in the same place, but it looks weird because procedure changed the spacing between breasts and the belly button - that is the reason people relocate the belly button, but the techi didn't expound on that. We also discovered today (3 years after the surgery) that lipo WAS NOT done on the abdomen and the ab muscled were NOT tightened because what we spoke about with the "doctor" was not written down. RESULT: Wife looks like nothing was done, has 3 large scars on abdomen and breasts that are not going away, and we have to pay for another surgery to get the abdominal liposuction done all because the doctor did not talk with her tech about what we had talked about with her. LESSON LEARNED: Do not EVER speak to the pricing tech without the doctor! Do not EVER assume that the consultation conversation will be done and do not EVER pay until the procedure is written down and you read it! NEVER be polite to cosmetic surgeons or their team or assume that they have your best interests at heart, because they will take that for weakness and talk over your head and charge you for it! (This is a business, NOT a medical facility!) I'm greatly disappointed in the lack of communication Leveque showed with her patients (my wife and I) and her technical team. The price we paid was far too high for what we got and the repairs that need to be done to fix all the problems this "mommy-makeover" caused far exceed our financial capability and probably will not be able to be fixed at all.
