This physician will do your consultation on your insurance... get approval... and then not schedule…read morean appointment for surgery unless you leave a bad google review. Then.. if you leave that review, he will give you a surgery appointment and then botch the surgery. He doesn't use drains after breast surgery and then after surgery when the swelling is extreme, your incisions will burst open and bleed. He will tell you this is "Normal and expected ". Then when you see him again in the office, he will take off your dressing with his bare hands, wipe the drainage from your incisions with paper towels from the holder next to the sink, pack your incisions with unsterile gauze and unsterile Q tips from Walmart, all with his bare hands and tell you again that this is all old blood, totally normal and to be expected. Then you will have to ASK for wound care, get cultures, and find out that he has given you MRSA AND ENTEROBACTER CLOACAE. All because he doesn't wear gloves. This physician does not follow standard precautions and will blow you off at every turn. He has taken away 5 months of my life all from a breast reduction which the normal down time is 2 weeks. I am an RN of 20 years and have had the worst experience of my life! I may not have back pain anymore due to large breasts, but my incision is still being packed 5 months later. He has a bottle of normal saline on his counter that expired in 2021. He has a sterile instrument pack on the counter that expired that was sterilized in June 2025. It is no longer sterile. It expired months ago. Again, he doesn't use gloves nor care and and has NEVER touched me in the office while wearing a pair of gloves! I had D/DD cup breasts prior to reduction surgery. I was told I would be a C cup afterward. I have nothing even close to a C. An A cup doesn't even fit. The fabric bunches up at the top. I have yet to be able to find a bra that fits. My husband was there for a full body look over from having melanoma surgery recently. The nurse was great and pointed out that the office also offer Botox and fillers as well. Great on promoting as there were no signage. After a few minutes, while in his hospital gown, Miss Tia the PA- C entered and introduced herself. Explained how she will look over my husband from head to toe and do a thorough search for anything unusual. Thank God nothing stood out except for a few little moles on his back which she cut out. Not only did I never receive a call, but my concerns were never acknowledged by you or your staff in any way. Now, I see why my mother left your practice and started seeing another doctor. Given this lack of professionalism and the failure to address my concerns, I have decided to seek care at another dermatology office--one where I feel I will be treated with the respect and courtesy every patient deserves. Disappointing Experience…read more I'm writing this review with mixed feelings. My mother was previously a patient of Dr. Kevin Welch, and I know him to be a very kind and competent doctor--our kids even attended the same elementary school. However, my recent experience with his scheduling staff was extremely disappointing. After booking an appointment weeks in advance, I was contacted to reschedule and was offered a time with the Physician's Assistant instead of Dr. Welch, which was not my preference. When I mentioned that I had been trying to contact the office--explaining that their email was not working and that I was disconnected when I initially tried to call--the scheduler became incredibly rude for no apparent reason. Throughout the entire conversation, she would not stop talking over me, blabbering incessantly and preventing me from getting a word in edgewise. She subjected me to a long-winded tongue-lashing and even accused me of being short with her, which was ironic given her own erratic and unprofessional behavior. When I explained that I would be mentioning this experience to Dr. Welch, she became even more indifferent, telling me to "go ahead" in a dismissive and antagonistic manner, as if my feedback would not make any difference. It felt as though she was an embedded employee who believed she was above accountability, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and frustrating. While I still plan to keep my appointment and expect a positive experience with Dr. Welch himself, I sincerely hope he addresses the issues with his scheduling staff. Specifically, the rude and unprofessional woman handling the scheduling needs to be either retrained or replaced. Her behavior is a disservice to Dr. Welch's reputation and could easily deter potential patients.

He's super down to earth and treated me like I was one of his children and all of his recommendations have not fail me. Before getting treatments from him, my skin was awful!
