I was looking for some fresh catches and the guys here are awesome. The place is very clean and they seem to have a variety of things to offer from octopus to mussels and different types of fish. Very clean place! They had the freshest snow crabs this season. I really didn't realize how big it is because there were three rooms and i only check out two. I have to go in the middle of their work hours to see how things are run but even though i stopped by 10 minutes before closing they were so patient and helpful with me. This is my go to place for great seafood. It's laid out like most seafood counters. Just has more of everything and it's really fresh. Last time out, we got some real nice Canadian salmon, conch fritters and seaweed salad. Grilled the salmon on the Ninja back home. Perfectly done! Conch fritters have a decent amount of conch in them. A little dish of yum-yum for dipping and you're all set. Seaweed salad was fresh and deliciously sweet. I've been slow making the frog legs I purchased this spring. Great having the smaller package. Why, I don't know? We were introduced to frog legs on our honeymoon in France at a small auberge in Burgundy. Soak in milk for 30 minutes, dredge with seasoned flour and sauté in a copious amount of butter. Finish with persillade sautéd in the pan after reducing the heat. Season with salt and pepper. They have their own mild flavor. read more

We've been going to Gulf coast for several years and have always been satisfied with our selection. They've expanded and offer a wider selection of seafood and even added protein options for those whose preferences run more 'land lubber' fare. It has become a one shop experience. Today we stopped and engaged in conversation with Summer, who suggested the haddock filets with stuffed crab cakes and garlic butter as a favorite of hers. She wasn't satisfied with the counter haddock and went back for a fresh box and filleted each. We matched each filet with one of their crab cakes and garlic butter. We returned home and following Summer's suggestions, rolled out the crab cakes and layered on the garlic butter brushed haddock. We coated once again with melter garlic butter and baked 350D for 20-25 minutes broiling for four minutes to crisp the crab. Delicious. Simple. Suggested. What a Summer! read more
