Update: The business owner responded to my 1 star review by implying that I'm not intelligent enough to know what location I'm at! I went to the location that is listed on the Yelp page: 6036 Park Blvd. There is a large sign above the doorway with the name of the business, and another on the sign for the business park Near the street. I arrived at 3:00 pm on a Wednesday when they should have been open according to their posted hours of operation. The doors were locked, the interior was dark, and there were no cars parked out front. There was no sign posted in the door that they were temporarily out. All these clues told me they were closed! The business owner needs to take responsibility for their actions. They didn't just step out for a minute. I didn't make a mistake by going to the wrong building. They were NOT open. read more

Great staff and service from the moment we walked in the door. When we walked through the doors Casey welcomed us to the office. She was very polite with a smile on her face. My husband and I had early morning appointments, so there wasn't but 2 other people in the waiting room. It's very clean and quaint. Dia was the assistant that tested our eye sight. She is very outgoing and peppy. She is great. We had good conversations. She gets to know who she is with. She's very professional and knowledgeable. I loved her personality and work ethic. Dr Luther is the sweetest person with great bedside manners. She is very thorough in checking our eyes and explained everything to us. She lets you know any problems she may foresee and what to do to protect and keep our eyes healthy. She answered all our questions that we had. She's very warm and soft spoken. She is the best. I'm so glad I found her. We checked out with Kayla and she was all smiles and bubbly. Our all around visit from the time you walk in the door until you leave was great service. I would recommend Dr Luther. We live in Palm Harbor, but drive to Pinellas Park. I don't mind the drive to get such great service. read more

I called for an appointment and specifically asked if they took Medicare for an eye exam because I need new glasses. I was asked for my Medicare number and then the response was yes, we do take your Medicare. Once I got there and filled out the paperwork I was presented with yet another form stating that I would pay a first time charge of $55 if I wanted a prescription for my glasses. This is deceptive and therefore I walked out without getting my eye exam. I was told nothing of a first time charge of $55 if I wanted my prescription! I was already in the process of choosing glasses, which they would most likely ended up costing me approximately $500 to $550. I told the receptionist that when I called they stated that they took my Medicare and she informed me that if I wanted a prescription for glasses, I had to pay a first time charge of $55. I told her that I was not told this on the phone, and she repeated herself. Their loss, I will never go back even if one day I do have optical insurance. The staff and dr were so nice and helpful. I didn't wait more than 5 minutes before I was taken back. The medical assistant was very thorough and made sure the dr had all the info she needed to do my eye exam. She was also great explaining what was going on with my eyes and giving me options to remedy the issue. My eyes were better within a week. Highly recommend! read more

Second time I've had a exam here and still very pleased. As soon as I entered the receptionist said hi. Check-in was simple and I think I waited just 10 minutes past the scheduled appointment to be taken back for my exam. I like their system in that I was escorted to the first room and the initial checkup is started with the tech. After that was completed, I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes until my eyes dilated and was taken back to see Dr. Manning who completed his exam. He took his time and answered my questions and explained things in layman's terms. I recommend Dr. Manning and his staff for your eye concerns. Everyone is friendly, professional and proficient. (I researched prior to initially making appointment and learned that he has high ratings for eye surgery.) The office is pleasant, comfortable and clean. Free parking is great too. read more

This office optionist was friendly inefficient with paperwork and the tech that took me back was super thorough and even shared details from her own experiences that helped me make some decisions going forward. Nothing was pressured and I didn't feel like they were trying to talk me into procedures that I didn't need. Then when the doctor came in, she was super informative and provided lots of details about why she was or was not concerned about what she saw. She answered my plethora of questions and didn't seem annoyed at all. I definitely appreciate that and how thorough everyone was. After all my questions and delays I figured it would have taken many hours, but they're so efficient that I was in and out in 1 hour even as a new patient that added on a vision exam. Very rude receptionist, rude nasty confrontational assistance.. uncharge you more than what than insurance Co pay is.. there glasses and contact is almost double everywhere else.. been like this for years.. except you now get more rude attitude.. wont be going back.. also recommended to my insurance Co. My wife went to see this optician's office for help with dry eye. They gave her a much touted treatment which included patches placed on the eye. My wife followed the directions but nothing changed in her condition at all. She paid $1300 for the treatment.. When we asked for a refund of the money spent on this the office manager said they would refund the money. They never did. When we followed up, the doctor refused to give a refund as it was now over 3 months. I would not recommend this office in any way. read more

There was very little wait time, the doctor was thorough and answered all of my questions, and the receptionist that checked me out even took the time to look up my insurance information since I hadn't received my card yet. Dr.Manning and his staff went above and beyond to make my husband and I comfortable while being seen in office. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiling faces and kind people. My husband received LASIK from Dr. Manning at an outpatient center and the care there was outstanding as well and he is recovering perfectly. Never go to this place. I went there just for a regular eye exam and they overcharged me for that. When I called to confront the reason they said an eye exam was never performed. So they don't consider checking vision problems, eye pressure and dilating your pupils as an exam. DON'T GO...THAT PLACE IS A SCAM... read more

I would not trust Dr. Manning to watch my dog! He is extremely unprofessional, condescending, has total and complete disregard for patients and their families. Dr. Manning has a "God" complex. Too bad I had to give him 1 star. read more

I just had LASIK with Dr. Manning and I am so happy I did! I was 20/20 the day after surgery and since I could never get contacts in my eyes before, it is amazing to be able to see perfectly without my glasses. I had my post ops with Dr. Liffland and she is very nice too. I am definitely going to tell my friends to go here! read more

Complete disregard for patients time. After waiting for more than 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I wasn't provided with any kind of update or apology for the delay. When I approached the desk and spoke with the office manager I was given a vague and weak apology without any indication of when I would be seen. I'm writing this review & testimonial today because last Tuesday 4/19 & yesterday 4/26 Dr. Michael Manning performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I went to have my eyes examined & was told I had cataracts. I immediately made my first appt. with an optomologist, & not feeling content, I called around & made 4 more appts with different Optomologist, Dr. Manning being my 5th visit & Bam, my decision was made immediately after weeks of visits to all the different Dr's. I felt so comfortable & welcomed in his office on Park Blvd. that there were no other thoughts other than how soon can we do this?. I was told the following week he could do the first eye & the second would be not very far away turning out to be one week later because the surgery turned out so well. The girls in his office were so kind, professional, & very knowledgeable of my needs, & I can't thank them enough. It was amazing. Dr. Manning gave me his time during my visit looking me right in the eye when speaking to me with his kind & welcoming smile. I felt SAFE & SECURE with the fact that he knew exactly how to repair my vision & he was very secure with his own knowledge of the surgery needed.
