Meyerland has become a regular destination for us even though it's a little bit low rent and a little bit rough around here, however this new plaza looks shiny and new and posh. It's an adaptation of the old plaza, but a very good one. There are some great new stores, and it's been remodeled, and there's a lot of good reasons to come here, such as the Ross and especially the JoAnn which Barbi loves. If you say you're going to come here and then never do, that's Northwest Double-Crossing…read more Northwest Crossing is a mall area for lower middle-class and working-class people, not too many rich folks shop here and it shows, so there are bargains to be had and some cheaper stores mixed with mid range efforts like Target. There are some good stores here, and a lot of it is cheaper and discount stuff with a lot of fast food and some ethnic eateries too, such as a Pho place I like. It's definitely the shopping heartbeat of northwest Houston and has a lot going for it, despite not being my favourite place to come and check out. It's a good area and has a couple of good Boba shops and restaurants here.

The main Highway is Northwest freeway 290 which has the worst traffic you can think of. This area has a lot of corporate offices, factory distribution centers, scrap metal places, equipment companies, and trucking hauling companies. Ever wonder where all of the super markets food supply come from yup Northwest crossing area. Even the Houston waste management corporate offices are in the area. I thought this would be a good area to live in but my recommendation is if you have a family with children Northwest Crossing is not a good place. Northwest Crossing is more for newly wed couples starting their lives together or if your single because there are plenty of bars you can go to like brick house tavern, hooters, and twin peaks. My husband and I have one more year in this area and we will be long gone that's for sure haha. One more thing I have noticed if you have T-Mobile or sprint as your network provider for some reason the service is bad. I am either on roaming or on two bars 3G and I have LTE. Maybe because their is not a tower near by but yes it is annoying. That's when having WIFI in your home comes in handy.

Their service was impressive, very detailed and thorough. They are predominantly known for their fashion so while there, several district specific brands had their models walk out amongst the people and showcase their outfits. The value is up there in price... we are talking the $$$-$$$$. Parking: paid street parking, free retail garage parking. Shops: most of the luxury name brands you can dream of, are stationed in this district so if you plan to treat yourself, this is the place to do it.

Another day, another King Dollar. What is so different about this one from the others? It is…read morepacked to the hilt. There are not unopened cartons in the isles and is always pretty busy. You can tell this is a privately owned one and usually pardon my ethnic naiveness but seem to be run by mideastern personnel. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? These group of people usually are more diligent in up keeping the supply and demand in their stores. You will find everything and additional items you might not see at the other King dollar locations. What was the best deal that you cannot find in the other dollar stores as an example? A brick (10 packages to a box) of spearment gum. That's about 100 little pieces of square packaged gum for $1! I bought a box the week earlier to test out to see if the gum is ligit and yep it sure is. Oh, by the way, I came back and bought the last 18 boxes so you are stuck with the peppermint, better get to them while they last. (July period, 2013). This location is right by the eStar buffet that is always crowded. Parking for the times I have been there have been very ample but will be challengable at peak times with the buffet a few doors down. Not all stores carry the flourescent *sp* light bulbs anymore, not sure because of supply, but this place does carry them.

This very instance is what my sister and I experienced at this Burke's Outlet and mind you the first Burke's Outlet store my family had visited was in the state of Mississippi where racism is everyday life and not once did we ever receive racial tension at the store in the sip, however I would have figured in Texas it would have been different, but I guess doesn't change where you are located in the states especially in the south. As we walked in, we aren't greeted rather we were stared at by the cashiers and customers that were being checked out. (Though, everyone else who walked in was greeted, "Welcome to Burke's Outlet!") Also, throughout our shopping whether it was browsing the earrings, clothing, or changing out in the dressing room, there was an announcement on the intercom about if customers ever feel uncomfortable to notify the cashiers, and even when I was testing out a purse by placing my belongings in the purse, there was an announcement regarding that, "concealing accessories were against the law". I for one wasn't doing anything wrong while shopping, but there were two young boys who were. One was skateboarding in the store, even had the audacity to confront one of the store associates if he was "being an inconvenience" and the lady said, "what was inconvenience mean?" So, the boy said, "am I being bad?" and the lady responded with a NO. However, when my sister and I was shopping in the store. All of the associates treated us like we shouldn't have been there. While we were looking at the soaps, one of the associates rudely reached over us without saying excuse her..how rude! I guess she never was taught manners. In Deer Park, I guess it isn't normal to see any other race than white, Caucasian. On top of that, the ladies restroom was beyond disgusting! It smelled like raw poop like baby's poop which was very nasty to endure while using the restroom. I did spot a really cute purse here, but after the associates suspected that I was shoplifting. I didn't purchase it. It wasn't worth it. My whole experience was horrible and I never will return to this store. I wouldn't advise anybody who isn't Caucasian to visit this store; the store associates are beyond racist and rude. I will take my further business to the location in Seabrook instead.

I absolutely love Burke's Outlet when it comes to buying earrings especially hoops. Because, I'm a…read morehoops kind of girl that's all I wear no matter what style or size. I strongly dislike when I am encountered with racism. They have a good selection on earrings shop by Natasha, Carole, or Kiana those girls will hook you up on some real cute earrings. The clearance earrings are garbage and prices are too. First of all, I'm not greeted by none of the sale associates. Ok, do not greet me. So, this location has a high rate for crime. While I shop, I'm constantly taunted by a repeated shoplifting message. As I browse at the earrings, one sale associate barge her way over my basket without saying excuse me. My sister and I were receiving all sorts of stares and eye rolling. When my sister transferred all of her belongs into a purse to test it out. The annoying message returned this time it was a unseen officer saying concealing merchandise is illegal. But when two teenage boys enter the outlet. Both boys were reckless, one skating on his skateboard inside the store and another was singing obnoxiously loud & off tune. It should have problematic when one teenage boy angrily confronted a customer in her face. I didn't hear none of intercom say crap diddletely to them. That lady was scared out of pants. All I saw was a sale associate giggle behind a shoe rack at the whole ordeal. Bunch of bull crap! Rude & immature sale associates. If the facility is being constantly monitored then why was the shoplifting messages targeted against us and why wasn't a horseplay message wasn't played for the teens. Stupid store!

Contrary to the name claim, there is nothing Hong Kong about this mall. It should have been named Saigon City Mall which would have been more appropriate. Aside from the huge anchor Asian grocery store in the middle, the mall is flanked by an assortment of Vietnamese-oriented beauty/cosmetics, nail, phone, apparel, gifts, pho and Asian-centric mom-n-pop stores with a sleepy food court on one end. There are quite a few signs pointing to Massage upstairs. The other prominent anchor tenant is Shabu Zone. Generally, around 50% of the stores were closed. Parking lot is Lone Star state size. Nothing else exciting to write about. Certainly, a coulda, shoulda, woulda experience. Sure you'll like this mall if you want to experience Vietnamese culture.
