We are sellers that have had two deals fall through using this law office. The first one we…read morecouldn't really blame him for it. We had no luck with his secretary/paralegal. She would make promises and never deliver, whether it be returning phone calls, sending engineering reports or finding out information that we needed to know (like what exactly to fix after inspection). We constantly got the run around for things that should have taken 15 minutes to find out. Each time, we had to pay half the fee at contract signing with the second half at closing (never made it). Since we paid him half already ($500) and the first deal fell through, for the second time he wanted to charge us again the full price as if we were starting over. He lowered his price by $150, we paid him half of his new fee, and then the second deal fell through. Both times we gave our buyers extensions and both times we got screwed. Each time the office said there was nothing to worry about, there was really an issue. For the third time, he wanted to charge us $750 and he wanted $375 at contract signing...Like we haven't paid him enough! And if we didn't make it to closing a third time, we would've been out of that money too! We decided to go with a different lawyer and after asking tons of questions, we find that she gets paid AT closing, not half when signing contracts/other half at closing, and if the deal falls through and we go with her when we find new buyers, she doesn't charge AGAIN and again. I would honestly avoid this office. They were useless to us, didn't question things when they should have (despite us telling them to call buyers atty, call realtor, ask questions, get answers, etc.) Its a shame we live in a state that we need an attorney to do real estate transactions because I didn't go to law school but I could've done a better job myself--at least I know I have my best interests in mind! In this economy, you can't be nickel and diming people... Total rip off!
