History

Established in 2014.

Guncraft Training Academy exists to propagate the right to keep and bear arms through the creation of informed and competent law-abiding gun owners. It was founded by three long-time firearms instructors motivated by a common cause: to provide the very best firearms training to gun owners, law enforcement, and military. The Master Trainers of Guncraft brought their experiences from military, law enforcement, private security, and civilian firearms training to create a training program that takes anyone from wherever they are, to as skilled as they want to be. Guncraft travels throughout the western United States, providing top-quality training at private and public ranges.

Meet the Business Owner: Master Trainers ..

David Jones has worked as a security design specialist for the Department of Defense, and has a background in private security. He is a lifelong shooting enthusiast and hunter, competitive shooter, and passionate advocate of the Second Amendment. Between training, he is a certified beer judge. He is Guncraft's Director of Student Relations. Aaron Marshall has had two combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and is currently a captain in the US Army Reserve. Aaron has trained with multiple weapons systems from handguns to heavy machine guns. His experience in firearms instruction spans over 12 years. Aaron is Guncraft's Executive Administrator. Jamie LaBarbera is a former police officer for the Fremont and Oakland police departments. He was also a senior training specialist for the California Motorcycle Training Program, and is a licensed private investigator. He is a POST-certified and NRA Law Enforcement certified firearms instructor. He is Guncraft's Training Coordinator.
