While row upon row of choices can seem daunting, their staff are also excellent at finding the perfect one to suit your palate. They also have a tasting bar if you want to sample before you buy, with quite a few different options from nearby producers. Among those we tried, we found Polin & Polin made some of our favorite shirazes- although it should be noted that they do make several different ones and each has its own distinctive flavor. In addition they have a number of items from the Hunter Distillery with flavors less commonly found such as Ginger or Turkish Delight. It was really relaxed low pressure tasting while seated in air con. We really liked all the semillon and chardonnay, the cheese plate was basic but tasty. A cute thing is that they have postcard size cards with a recipe pairing for each of their wines, make sure to grab one if you buy a bottle. Also, the bathrooms were immaculate.
