I bought my first firearm here at the age of 21 a few years back. It was a decent experience,…read morebackground check was fast and simple, in and out of there within 5-10 minutes. I've been going here loyally for the last couple years, and it is only now that I'm starting to feel a sharp pain in my a** after getting screwed over and over. This time was too much. Their gun prices are insane. Listen to me, they are crazy priced. If you think you found a good price here, you didn't. The guns are bought from LE that do NOT take care of their guns. Every time you purchase a firearm here, expect it to be as dirty as it can be. They have an alright variety, but not enough to keep you going back. Range prices? $9/ 30min $15/ 1hr. Although lighting is horrible, and I mean horrible. Some of the lanes don't even have a working line to move your target, but hey. $9 for 30 minutes... Ammo prices. All the reviews from 6-19 years ago say the same thing I'm going to say. They're f***ed. They will upcharge you 50%-100% every time compared to other retailers, then blame ammo shortage. Bulls***! They're just fine, you're only greedy. Say you want a box of 9mm for a cool $17. Nope, they'll get ya for $25 on those suckers. 45cal for $23-$25? Sheeeeeeit. Looking at $32-$36. 40s&w? You'd expect $20-$23. Not TODAY!! $30-$35 for a single box. These guys no longer deserve to be in business. The guy with grey hair is the one that gets you. Up charges you, wont say a word and just prays you sign that receipt. Then maybe he'll say something. The owner is alright from my experience, although they both still seem arrogant and treat younger adults like they have no clue which foot is their left and right. Do not go here! Buy ammo online. Bought JHP rounds for 40% less than what I paid here for FMJ. Jokesters.

Pretty nice convenient gun range. Forgot my pass a few times and he let me still go in and shoot,…read morealso let my girl join me. Best pricing on range fees in town and they let you use their safety glasses and ear protection complementary.

The good: This particular gun store had just about anything you want, and more. The service was…read morevery good... to a point.... I will explain that in another paragraph.... I was a long time admirer of Range USA. I was one of those folks who kept going in and didn't buy anything. Until two things happened: Firstable, My wonderful wife granted permission that I could buy whatever I wanted. ( Don't laugh , some of you are still begging...! ) Secondable, I had to know exactly what I wanted to buy... Range USA made that easy. So I bought what I wanted. The only thing that I thought was crazy was the fact that NO magazines came with the rifle I purchased. I thought that was strange ( as in I thought at least one magazine came with any rifle purchased...). I guess I was Wrong. But Okay. The second thing most have to understand is, in case you didn't know...ALL gun purchases have to pass through the FBI database check before you get anything that fires a bullet and was made after 1893. I am being very careful and respectful about this. FBI and ATF & E don't play. Expect to wait a bit. This was my first time buying firearms in Kentucky. So I had to wait. It's okay, I didn't do anything wrong, so I had nothing to worry about. I have what I bought and I'm happy with that. I did get rid of my membership though. I'm too busy. If I want to shoot I call and see what is available. Not a problem. So. Range is a nice place. I will go back. If I am allowed.

I should mention at the outset to the reader that this is a review only of the frame shop at the…read moreback of the store, and that I realize I'm a fairly permissive grader, such that on occasion I find myself wishing I could give out a sixth star. I would not give this frame shop a sixth star, on price alone though, good grief it's like back when I was nine during the RWR recession and she took all of us to the apprentice hairstylists academy so they could practice on us for half price, it's unbelievably cheap hopping over from the campus area especially. On quality, my standards are not perfectionist. For example I've been meaning to write a review and yesterday was in there to get a print of 'The Mahabharata' room matted, this being one of six of my Rooming House rooms. They helped me with a publicity photo from the film, especially with two mats that had 'black center' when you slice in instead of white, very nice framing a B&W photo, and so I took that one in to get my print from AllPosters of a temple wall, a scene from the Hindu epic, and get the exact same matting (and then in a months get the last of my three decorative posters for outside the door, the movie poster in French). Anyhow, their new technician insisted on taking the AllPosters print apart to get both measurements and pricing right from the start, and it turns out that was important because they fuse the whole thing together on pressboard. Last time I tried to just have one of theirs removed and another substituted it meant finding out later we needed a new mat, and on an unusual size it took an extra month. So, I'm not like that and most of their staff aren't (quite) like that. But still I have noticed infrequent errors that they fix for free, but you can't expect people hired and trained from scratch to perform to the quality of a sole proprietor frame shop with decades of experience. They've got quality control and it works well enough, modest hassle for massive savings as I'm just about done with a job I've been working on for over two years, and have learned how to do some of this on my own. I would point out to the perfectionist though, that for you it may not be a choice between here and Michaels. Rather you may want to look more toward various professional frame shops and their reviews.

Great finds and you can always find great sale items. Would like to see more cashiers at busy times.read more
