Simply upset someone is actually competent at operating firearms, and possess more efficient skills than them. Some of us actually train and OWN high end gear, without being in a position of law enforcement or similar. Also, $140 to prove and earn one's ability to draw from the holster? Laughable.

They had more on the walls than I expected, too: everything from affordable guns around $350 to some seriously nice high-end options. I'd visited a few shops around Raleigh, and this was the first one where I liked both the selection and the people enough to buy. Kurht was there, and you could tell he cared about the customers. While I was looking around, I watched someone buy his first gun. Kurht took the time with him, and it was cool to be there for that moment. We all remember our first one. Then I spotted a Geissele Super Duty in exactly the color and setup I wanted, so I ended up taking it home. I also bought a scope, which he mounted and zeroed at 200 yards for me. The whole experience of an out of state sale was fast, easy and enjoyable. I'd recommend Tar River Arms wholeheartedly. If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular.
