Recently stopped by this shop to get some cleaning gear for my rifles and see if they had a few things like rail extenders and light weight butt-stocks. Sadly I seemed to have wasted the time of the guy working there. He didn't help me with my questions on the extender when I was curious about it's fit on my barrel. Maybe I had a big wiener on my face because he was giving me a pretty dirty look the whole time. After looking at various shops around Jacksonville I either 1. Couldn't find what I was looking for 2. The pistol was overpriced or 3. The employees were super douchbags! These guys were awesome, they greeted you upon entering, asked you multiple times if you needed anything without being pushy. The best part is they know they are going to get a bunch of looks-loo Marines from lejuene who just want to finger F*** a bunch of new guns, but still have the patience to work with you. Their prices are very competitive to what you will find online but they will check to make sure you get the best deal. Overall I'm satisfied with my transaction and I'm glad they are not your typical high end story who treats their customers like garbage. read more

I gotta be honest, I used to love Gunshop. It still is my favorite in Jacksonville because the staff is always super nice and not too pushy. Prices for guns are fair in there and not too bad from what you'd find online. HOWEVER, their ammo prices are extremely ridiculous. $25 for a box of 20 5.45x39. It's more than a dollar a ROUND for 9mm! They've really got to do something about the ammo prices or they might lose a lot of business.. everyone always asks me "where can I get so and so type of ammo" the first thing I say is stay away from Gunshop. I quite literally paid HALF of what their asking at other gun stores in the area. Not to mention academy. Everything else is great. read more

I had this shop put new sights on my pistol and they did a terrible job. The first issue was they didn't heat the fiber optic rod enough for it to stay in the front sight post; it fell out while I was racking the slide. I fixed that myself, but earlier today I went shooting and the front sight post came loose and nearly fell off after 100 rounds fired. Thankfully the range I was at fixed it for free. I've only been here once and I definitely won't be back to have any work done. I will say they have a good selection of weapons and accessories, which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. Mounting new pistol sights is one of the easiest things you may need to do on a weapon, so I'd hesitate to have any kind of weapon work done here. read more

Besides answering the phone their sales representative did absolutely nothing to facilitate my FFL Transfer. He made claims for assistance and when I followed up nothing had been done. His demeanor on the phone was rude and almost as if I was bothering him. Will not be using this shop again. This is not the case with the Gunshop in Snead's ferry. There customer service is exceptional and there staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and will always give you the time of day. read more

If you want to sell anything to them prepare to be insulted by the ludicrous offer you get from the man behind the counter. Will not be doing business with this shop again! Store manager said I would not be double charged for 2 lower receivers a week before purchase, and on the day I go to pick them up, $26 fee extra. When I told the clerk what the manager said, she gave an excuse. I asked where the manager was and she said he would not be available. I asked her to call, and she gave me the runaround, eventually calling and guess what, I still ended up paying an extra charge because he was "unaware" that there would be 2 lowers.
