This time going in the service was terrible. I have been in here before but the people have always been kind. They have decent selection and ok prices. This is a no haggle, no laugh, straight business type of place. The ego of some of the employees is just outrageous. I used to like this place but don't think i will be going for a long while. decent selection of AR parts albeit grossly overpriced, the employees patrol in circles around and stare at you while you try to shop in peace leading to an unsettling experience, they also have attitudes if you pull out your phone to google anything about the parts you are buying since they don't seem to have much gun knowledge and the manager gets downright snarky at times, overall i do not recommend this store general you can find more parts online cheaper than here and actually have some sort of buyer protection if it doesn't fit. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina I purchased two handguns and one AR style shotgun plus additional magazine. I probably spent a total of $1500 within a one year timeframe.. The finish on the 380 I noticed overtime about 6 months, We're starting to look like it was rusty. So I took it to a few places in Raleigh to see if they could fix it or clean it and they suggested I send it back to the manufacturer. This wasn't my biggest problem. The problem was the 9 mm that I purchased a Taurus stopped firing and I had only shot the gun about 10 times, I also took it to Carolina Gunrunners in Raleigh, NC. They couldn't figure out why they pistol would not fire and suggest I take it back to the people I purchased it from so I brought the pistol back down to Jacksonville, to Semper -Fi. I called simplify on the phone talk to the gunsmith guy explain to him that the finish on the pistol was looking like it was resting and also explained to him about the other Pistol. I purchased that has stopped firing. He told me that I could bring both handguns back down to their shop in Jacksonville and they would look it. They explained to me that if they could not fix it, they will send it off to the manufacturer and have them fix it. I asked them how much would they charge me to do this? They said sending a gun to the manufacturer would cost nothing and cleaning a pistol would also Not cost anything. I drove back to Jacksonville, NC drop off the pistols and told them to call me whenever they figured out what was wrong. I called back about two weeks later. They told me that they couldn't fix the pistol and it had a dry fire and they would have to send it off to the manufacturer to get it fixed. Again I asked them how much would it cost? They told me it wouldn't cost nothing to send it back to the manufacturer and to clean the 380 Pistol would be free. Now, when I go to pick the pistols up about a month later, this is when the problem starts I come in and asked for my pistols. Tell him who I was. They told me to wait a second until they went and got them. Then some little short guy I think he was the manager said OK that'll be $34 and something and I said I was told that it would be free. What are you charging me for? He gets an attitude and says you think you're not just gonna pay anything. I said I expect to pay what I was told over the phone, which was nothing to send off the pistol to the manufacturer was free and to clean the pistol was free. He immediately said who told you that I told him that his gunsmith guy told me that who was currently right there in the store and he gets a big attitude. The customer service from this guy at the store was insane. He got loud he got mad. He got upset. Told me to keep my money and handed my receipt to me all forcefully and didn't say nothing. Please keep in mind. I had purchased three guns from this guy and this how I was treated worst customer service I've ever had in any gun store in my life. The gunsmith guy was very nice but whoever this little short guy was, I'm not sure if he was the owner or manager or whatever but he was a total asshole. This store has a great incredible gun selection. Customer service from this one guy is horrible. Everyone else in the store was super nice except for this one asshole I'm thinking he had to be the manager or the owner. read more

They are the quintessential condescending gun store employee who for some reason has a chip on his shoulder and feels the need to act aloof and patronizing. I don't understand why they would treat customers so poorly. They must not need the business. The store has a good selection of firearms, but their prices are high retail. The MANAGER sold a .357 two shot handgun to my 83 year old father who has dementia & Parkinson's (left intoxicated & we found out he went to the gun store & then liquor store after we were tracking him on his iPhone). I DO NOT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS- THAT MF could have used better judgement into selling a gun to him. What 83 year old would need a 2 shot .357? I called & spoke to Mr. MFer, & of course he goes on to explain he didn't do anything wrong legally. He goes on to somewhat argue how he was not intoxicated & "was walking better than most 60 & 70 year olds that come into the store" & that he's "sold guns to 90 year olds". WHATEVER- How the flying F&CK do you not know any better?? As anyone else, YOU MR. MFer are only in it for the money, you pig. read more

Great selection, they've grown over the years and have just about every type of firearms and accessories you can think of. You get greeted every time you come in the store but have to hunt for someone to help you pull out a firearm.... Unless you go to the back where they have all magazines then you get at least 2 associates following you around and watching you like a hawk. It's kind of annoying you can't shop in peace and have to be watched like you've committed a crime but I guess that's how this place rolls. read more

Great shop! I like the expansion of the shop. The variety of parts and products are great to see. Friendly staff. Only draw back is the lack of actual help getting individual parts. If you offer gunsmith services and are not willing to sell gun components to people asking for one roll pin. I am not going to be willing to recommend or buy my magazines, sights, targets, ammunition, holsters, other furniture, and supplies from here either. No reloading components that I saw in my visit either. read more

They have a great number of guns and knives. I spent about 30 minutes just looking a the very large number of weapons. The staff were very helpful and answered my questions. They have an extensive amount of personal defense pistol ammunition and spare parts for modern weapons. I bought some bits and pieces for my AR15 and AK at very attractive prices. I had a 1x6 optic that I needed to be mounted, I asked if their gunsmith could mount it because I didn't have a torque driver to do it. Normally for any gunsmithing you have to make an appointment. However since it wouldn't take the gunsmith long, he stopped what he was doing and mounted it for me right there on the spot. He didn't charge my anything (despite not buying the optic there), which is quality service in my book. read more

Visting from CA. They had a used Benelli on the wall for a pretty good deal. I asked if I could buy it and if they would ship it to my FFL in California. The manager stated the shotgun was illegal in CA......WRONG. I made it clear he was mistaking. He then disappeared, came back 5 or so minutes later and said they could sell me the gun. I asked when they would ship it and he responded that they would ship it as soon as they got all the information from my FFL in CA which could be as soon as the following Monday (it was Friday afternoon). I left, called my FFL and while on the phone with him he received the call from Semper-Fi. So far so good, so I thought. My FFL sent him all the paperwork that afternoon. Then they sent it again a week later, and the week after, and the week after that. They sent it to them 6 times over the course of 6 weeks. The whole time I would call to follow up on what was going on. I was told the gun would ship that week. Finally, in the 6th week, they said my FFL in CA never sent them the proper paperwork which is why the process took so long. This was a bold faced lie. I am personal friends with my FFL dealer and I know for a fact that the paperwork was sent numerous times without response. These guys are unprofessional and really need to get their stuff together. The reason why they are not getting less stars is because their guys behind the counter seemed to really want to be helpful. I went in a few times while I was visiting and the staff was pretty friendly. read more

Don't bother to try to purchase any handgun ammunition unless you're ready to purchase a handgun to go with it. Was going to purchase a couple of other items but since they wouldn't sell me the handgun ammunition I guess I figured they couldn't sell me the other ammo as well. read more

I have been to Semper FI a few times to purchase a few new handguns and each and every time I have been greated with the upmost respect. I was in there this evening to purchase 2 new handguns I ended up with a Sig 9mm and also a smith and wesson 45 most of the time we spent in there this evening we were assisted by Andrew he allowed us the time to look the time to compare and the time to make the final decision on the perfect handgun. He never made me feel rushed he answered all of my questions and when I left I made a promise that I would recommend Semper Fi to anyone who is looking for a handgun,rifle or even accessories they are just amazing. Even my wife feels comfortable asking questions, they always answer them respectfully which can be hard to find at some gun shops.All great experiences, great customer service. I was just in there to replace my aging 9mm and the employee that was "helping" me lacked in knowledge and salesmanship. He waited for me to tell him what I wanted to see rather than him make recommendations and when asked questions about various firearms he couldn't answer provide an answer. Rather than look for the answer we just had the awkward silence. If I was to ever go in again I would only want to deal with the owner he is knowledgeable and cordial. read more

I have been stationed at the base for years now. I was a frequent customer, buying accessories for my rifle, getting it worked on at the store. I had a good experience over the years. Everything changed when I went with my wife to buy her a Daniel Defense rifle. We have a dog and we had her in the car, the plan was one of us staying in the car with the dog, while one was in the store. I went inside and spoke to a white gentleman with glasses that was super nice and understanding. I told him that my wife was outside and she is interested in Daniel Defense rifles. He points me towards the ones that are on display and I tell him they look amazing. I tell him how my wife will be coming into the store and looking at the rifles. I go outside and tell my wife to look for the man with the glasses and she does. While I am waiting in the car about 5 minutes go by and next thing I see is my wife coming back to the car with a face of disgust. She walked into the store, found the man I told her to look for and he was super helpful. My wife doesn't have much experience shooting or much knowledge on rifles but she does know how to use them and chose the Daniel Defense brand on aesthetics and customer reviews. Everything changed when one of the managers, John, comes up and starts putting in his two cents on everything. The man that was helping us before starts to slip away. The manager is left making snide remarks to the lack of my wife's rifle knowledge and how he is the subject matter expect on everything rifle related. My wife can't handle the scrutiny and leaves the store. Walks back to the car and tells me the story. Without a doubt in my mind we immediately leave the parking lot. We had the money and were hell bent on buying the rifle but we were so disgusted with the experience that we took our business elsewhere. read more

Purchased a Daniel defense barrel, upper and bolt for my 1st AR 15 build. Even though they were busy I felt the staff was very helpful

Took in my AR to get the barrel nut taken off and THEY broke my upper then proceeded to tell me they would "discount" a new upper. Long story short they broke my upper while trying to remove barrel nut and I paid $120 for a new upper, THAT THEY BROKE. Many more shops in town that I will go to and will not be back here. read more

not a big fan ....purchased a mossberg 500 shotgun wanted the side saddle shell holster and the rail system for the hand guard which is magpul also along with the stock. went in got both items got home..... neither fit (after having had a conversation with a salesmen) i bring them back same day expecting to get my money back.... yeah right......you get "store credit"and one guy offered to order the side saddle shell holder..... after not being able to get my hard earned money back i explained that i would just order it on amazon, still aint getting my money back ....he said store credit three times to make sure the girl at the register didnt do a refund .....so already pissed i spent $83.00 on shotgun shells i suggest if you go here know exactly what you are going to get because once your money goes in.....dont expect to get it back.... either way your money stays with them one way or another. ill stick to amazon oh yeah i still have a $3 store credit you think ill be back? nope they can have the $3 read more

These guys are ok, very friendly and willing to work with a customer...HUGE selection. They are a little pricy on some of their low end firearms but very competitively priced on their 1000 dollar and up guns. They carry US Auto weapons merchandise. (Love it) and they give out free t shirts...who dosent love that?! read more
