It is okay to not know everything but when a situation presents itself to learn something and get educated to show you care about what you signed up to do, you should probably take it! I'm no Spring chicken but my day doesn't feel complete until I learn something new! A commander who raises his voice and talks over you and has no idea what the definitions of some words are is absolutely irresponsible, irritating and disgraceful!! That is your job sir! When things get heated you are supposed to calm the situation!! I always am a respectful, kind and empathetic person. If you think I will not continue to express my extreme disappointment, perhaps you should get to know me better!! All I can think is... if my husband called can I believe he would speak to him in the same tone? Would he tell him he was wrong and would he talk over him? Not sure, that wasn't the case but my gut tells me he would have spoke more like an adult who protects this community!!! So, after speaking to 2 Commanders I feel let down. I did miss a couple phone calls but I have no voicemails. I am not an officer so I also don't know everything but I'm wondering when an investigation consists of listening to me and showing clear forgery and identity theft documents I have secured and then just taking the time to call the person who is an insurance agent and just get his side of the story with no proof and say that there is not an issue!! I hope that I am wrong about others that do care and take the time to assist and protect this community. I am sure they are there, when your commander reacts and handles things in a certain way it really makes someone worry about what is important to the Deerfield Police Department? There was an incident in the neighborhood resulting in the police parking 6 squad cars, with full emergency lights blasting, on my street. It was scary for the neighbors and the person they were interviewing turned out to be innocent. This aggressive response probably allowed the real perpetrator to get away. A less frightening and better use of resources would have been for one or two squad cars to complete the interview while the other 4 canvased the neighborhood searching for the perpetrator. A very scary over aggressive response, resulting in trauma for a law-abiding citizen and the neighborhood, and letting the perpetrator get away, was unnecessary. This should have been better managed, my respect and support for my local police department is gone.

We noted the four-hour parking limit and made it a point to return to the car right as four hours was ending. My car was still there. With a red paper stuck to the windshield. Crap. We hadn't made it back in time. I opened the ticket and looked at the timestamp: 11:28am. Only an hour after we had been there. Confused, I looked up, looked around, and then started to notice the red permit parking signs scattered among the blue four-hour parking signs. Actually, the signs said: "PERMIT PARKING MON-FRI 5AM-6PM" "OR 4 HOUR PARKING." These two signs were right next to each other. Clearly, it meant that we could have a permit or park there for four hours. Right? I started snapping photos of the confusing signs (and lack of certain signs) near my parking spot as proof against the ticket. Meanwhile, I spotted a woman with her flashlight looking at cars. Ah, the parking enforcement officer. "Excuse me," I showed her the ticket, "can you help me figure this out?" "Oh, you're in a permit parking zone." "But the signs......." She smiled, "Oh yes, I know. It's so confusing." She explained it happens all the time and I can just try to fight the ticket by writing a note with the ticket and dropping it off at the village hall. All of this with patience and a smile on her face. I thanked her repeatedly before getting in my car and driving away. An hour later, I went to the finance department of the village hall and the woman behind the counter sent me over to the police department. Once at the police department, I was being assisted by a nice police officer until I saw the same lady who gave me my ticket! She came around to the front of the counter, greeted me with a smile, and started to talk with the officer about helping me waive the ticket. Since I had the photos of proof on my phone, I was told I would have to go home, print the pictures, and mail them out. She generously offered to let me email her the photos so she could print them out the next morning and attach them with my ticket. Floored by the fact that she was going above and beyond to help me, I agreed and she wrote down her [work] email address for me. Then she unexpectedly takes the ticket from me and says, "You know what, just forget about the ticket. I'll take care of it." Shocked, I say, "But... don't you need to document this or something...?" "Don't worry about it. You're being so nice about this. Happy Thanksgiving!" she replies with a smile. Me? I'M being nice about this? Sure, I was being pleasant about the whole thing (I've learned that it's no big deal to be annoyed or angry about these kind of things), but this lady was just so unexpectedly nice about the ticket. Seriously. I was nearly in shock. "Wow... thank you so much! Happy Thanksgiving, too!" was all I could say. She took the papers, smiled, and walked away. Stunned, I left with a heart growing full of gratitude for all the kind people in this world. She made my day. I realize that the village/police department aren't probably always going to be this nice and lenient when it comes to parking tickets, but my experience today was so, so pleasant. They prefer that you go online and make appointments to come here. There's a sort of kiosk thing for folks to do that in the lobby. Not real user friendly. But, it's a typical government office. What about seniors who lack access to the Internet or lack smart phones? The one gal behind the glass was kind enough to provide us with a modicum of service when we asked for some help. Your CNA at the ER intake window kidnapped my adult brother keeping him there overnight without a…read moremedical reason. She told my son to drop him off there when he was on his way to work and my adult brother was stranded in Harvard. My adult son thought the ER-Tech would bring my adult brother back to me or call me to pick up him. She did neither one. She kept him against his will, took him home to her house against his will and threw him into a nursing home claiming he had dementia when she knew damn well he was born intellectually disabled. The ER-Tech is a low level CNA who cannot diagnose anyone but told the doctors at the hospital the lie that my brother had demenita. She then took a case to court to become his guardian without notifying family members. The judge and Guardian Ad Litem were unaware that my brother had family. He was living with us. I was his care taker in Wisconsin. The CNA not only kept my brother captive at the Northwestern hospital, she kept him captive in her home for a short time and then locked him up in a nursing home to this day (almost 2 years later.) We have been trying to fight the guardianship. She took over his bank account. She spent his SSI on her clothes and her groceries, she is now spending all of his new inheritance that the CNA was able to intercept and spend from the bank account of my brother. She is not blood related to my disabled adult brother. She is an ex-sister-in-law that divorced our oldest brother in the 1980s. not to mention, our late mother hated this woman since she never paid our mother a lot of money since the 1980s. My mother never forgot it. The inheritance came from my mother's property after she died in 2021. The hospital should be held accountable for the actions of the CNA ER-Tech Sheena May. I will send this here and then pursue this legally against the hospital for the actions of their employee, Sheena May. She claims she worked here for 29 years. This facility was not here 29 years ago. She is a habitual liar. She is a very mentally unstable thief and kidnapper from your Northwestern Medicine hospital.

When I got there this morning, I barely had a chance to sit down before they were calling my number and I went ahead of About 10 other people. Apparently you can walk in, but I was told I had to have an appointment. I guess I'm glad I did. It would've been better to have gotten in sooner and I wouldn't have mind waiting, but I was seen immediately and I was in and out in five minutes. The person who helped me was very pleasant and the whole thing was nice.
