I hope yelp does not remove this review. I have been to many astrologers in the past, and this guy scared the living daylights out of me by telling me only bad things about my chart. He also mentioned doshas I had never heard of and no other astrologer has ever mentioned to me. I know for a fact I have a few good planets that help my chart, but when I asked about them, he did not mention those and told me they don't matter. He pointed out a certain placement in my chart that could give me suicidal tendencies. Who tells someone that they might commit suicide? At the very end of the reading he basically told me I have a bad chart. Then he recited a list of pujas and prices. Astrology is not meant to scare people, a good astrologer will tell you the areas in your chart that may be a bit problematic, but you need to gain a greater understanding/ consciousness of. In this experience Dr. Gurudeva just listed out a bunch of bad stuff and may as well have told me to jump off a bridge because my life will be terrible. That's not astrology. I went with my husband, who is Indian, to see Dr. Gurudeva. My husband's first mistake was telling him that he believed a relative did black magic on him, so that was basically easy for Dr. Gurudeva to go with. Myself, not being from India, I could not understand his accent, plus he spoke very softly, almost in a whisper. He went on to describe how the family member did black magic on him 3 times, and in so many words, basically sentenced my husband to die, with new illnesses happening one after another. And that eventually, I would be impacted with medical problems. My husband, already w/ several medical conditions ranging from severe asthma to type 2 diabetes, to leg weakness and neuropathy, became visibly upset. At that point, I also started to cry. The Dr. recited some prayers in his language while lighting up something in a pan (it was rather dramatic), then went on to to offer a pooja service which would happen in India only, for $1500. Not sure how we were supposed to know if and when the pooja was done. And that he could also sell us stones for protection. God knows how much money they were, we didn't even ask! We paid the $50 fee, and left. But keep in mind, at this point, we still believed that my husband's relative put a curse on him. However, It wasn't until we met the next 2 con artist "Astrologer" frauds, that I learned much more about this criminal enterprise, which spans across many states. They strung my husband along for several weeks, and we were lucky to escape, after they were requiring us to make purchases in excess of $25K to remove the evil spirits from BOTH of our bodies. Yup, he just invents things to scare the living daylights out of you. Not one of the 3 other astrologers I contacted mentioned anything being wrong. If you know someone in India do yourself and your sanity a favour and go with them. He makes money by instilling fear. Once in a while I discuss with Dr.Gurudeva regarding stock market fluctuations and calamities astrology. Every time He gave good reasoning to the major things happening in the world. Yesterday i spoke to him reg Corona virus pandemic. He pointed out present planetory motions. Jupiter, Ketu combination is the reason for starting of this pandemic. At the same time Rahu is in ardra star and ketu is in moola star. Rahu, Ketu positions are same in sep11, 2001. Again it is repeating now. From 25th march, 2020..Saturn, Mars and debilitated Jupiter coming in to capricorn sign. This is very bad combination. This trio will continue until may 5th , 2020. This Poision air (Virus means poision in latin) will show strong effects on mankind until then. Afterwards it start decrease.
