This is a MUST STOP for a cute AND STOCKED country store. because of the late frost Spring '26 East Coast orchards suffered a tremendous loss. However! I went for strawberry picking last Friday for the first time. Great experience! It rained the day before so it was a little muddy near some of the patches, but these were some of the best berries I have tasted. It was $4.49 per pound. $5 entry fee that is applied towards whatever you pick. The staff are really friendly and laughed as I tried to guess everyone's weight for the berries they picked. I'm going to make it an annual tradition. There are ample parking spots for Friday around 11AM. The little store up the road was also filled so many jams, spreads, and strawberry treats. read more

Close to home and just what we were looking for. Late Oct and still lots of apples on the trees. Sadly lots on the ground too and people who just can't but help to act like animals. Aside from that it was a fun outing with the family. Only about 40 months from home. Great fall weather and the picking was fun. We finished by going to the market which was a nice treat. We got some fresh, hot apple cider donuts and some other sweets. I'm glad we have this place a try. Typically we drive hours for the same experience. The apple prices were by the pound. My friend rave about this orchard and recommended this place for peach picking. She was not joking because I had an amazing time. We arrived around 1pm and the orchard was not over crowded. Plenty of space to walk around and their peaches/nectarines tasted amazing. It was like nectars from the gods. Lol. There are free parking and entrance and their peaches/nectarines were $1.89 lbs. Very reasonable in my book. It's cash only so make sure you bring plenty of cash. When done, you should also visit their store. There are plenty of baked good and other delicious things to buy and they had a tasting station so that was cool too. Definitely don't leave without buying one of their pies. I brought half of their peach pies and my roommate and I loved it. Would I come back here again. Hell yesssss!!! This will not be my go to spoke going forward. If you wanted to recreate that peach scene in the summer I turned pretty, this would be a pretty nice place to do it because they got some juicy peaches. No sugar syrup injectables needed. Jokes aside, I came to pick peaches mid August and it was a nice, seamless experience. Plenty of parking space and a few porta potties were next to it. No pets and no "big" bags allowed - they make you put your bag in some box to check if the size is fine. However, wagons for kids are allowed. They line up buckets with brown paper bags so it's easy for you to just grab what you need before heading into the orchards. When I went, the white peaches weren't sweet and ripe enough. Too crisp for my liking. They also had the least white peaches. However, there were plenty of yellow peaches. Some trees had juicier varieties, so you just have to taste test and pick from the trees you like. Nectarines were also available but in lesser quantities than the yellow peaches. The nectarines were not memorable. There were a lot of low hanging fruits so it's perfect for little ones to participate in. Checking out was easy. Just hand your bucket of peaches over and they calculate the cost by weight. It's 1.89/lb which is really not bad! I highly suggest checking their instagram account for updates on what's available for picking. Overall, I had a nice time here and would come again. There's even a store a few minutes drive away with freshly made apple cider donuts and other produce and jams. read more

Went peach picking early August and had a wonderful time! There were tons of peach trees to pick from and it wasn't crowded at all at 10am. Before your visit, be sure to check for updates on their Facebook page! Their latest post will tell you what is in season and other info. When we went, there were yellow peaches, white peaches, and nectarines. Some were super ripe right off the tree as you can tell when you gently squeeze it, it has a little give. Most were hard to the touch, but don't be fooled bcus once you have them sit out a couple of days at home, they will ripen! It was $1.89/lb and it's cash only! Free parking and free entrance. There was plenty of parking at 10am. Porta potties are nearby as well. The staff there were all so friendly too! We visited the country store afterwards. Got their apple cider donuts and the peach pound cake, but both were just okay, kinda dry. I've had better apple cider donuts at different farms. They also had homemade pies, and a variety of homemade salsas and dips. They also have their own Battleview Orchard bottled sauces. I was torn between buying the "Awesome Dipping Sauce" or their "Secret Sauce". Ended up getting their "Secret Sauce" and when I tried it at home, it just tasted like Chick-fil-A sauce. There's a Peach Shack truck outside that served smoothies, milkshakes, etc. We tried the peach smoothie and it was refreshing and tasted like fresh peaches! The orchard and store were only about an hour away from NYC via car. We stopped by the store first which does accept cash unless you're at the hot cider/doughnut window which is cash only. Unfortunately for us, the hot cider/doughnut window was closed during the weekday when we went. The store was very cute decked out in fall festivities. We got a small container of cold apple cider, a bag of 6 cider doughnuts and 1/2 pie of the Dutch apple pie and the peach pie. The Dutch apple pie stole the show. I probably would skip the peach pie. The peach filling was delicious, but the crust itself was just ok. Afterwards, we ventured to the orchard which is a very short driving distance away. The apples were around 1.80 per lb which is the cheapest you will find anywhere. They had a nice variety. Our favorite was the jonagold. Of note, they do not have restrooms, but multiple portable potties. Since we went on the weekday, we are not sure what they offer on the weekends in terms of mazes, rides, etc. We would definitely come by again for peach/nectarine picking next summer. read more

But that's alright, we found their pastries were quite a sight, I picked out 4 pastries to bring home. They have a nice little store. I wanted to get some much more!! Battleview is a super cute place to pick apples. The apple orchards are extensive and they have a ton of variety. There is also a cute little pumpkin patch. Don't expect too many other farm activities though - this is mostly about the apple picking. There is also an incredible farm store with SO many baked goodies and other grocery items like cheese, produce, spreads and jams, etc. I had the most refreshing apple cider slushie during my last visit! Some logistical stuff -- parking by the orchards is plentiful. You aren't allowed to bring a bag in to prevent any theft. There are also port-a-potties in the parking lot. Apples and pumpkins are pay by the pound and prices are fair. You'll have to drive to the farm store from the orchards and parking there can be a bit more limited. Definitely a great option for U-pick apples. You do sacrifice some of those other farm activities like hayrides and mazes, animals, etc. The other option in town seems to be Happy Day, and cover there is like $30 bucks. For no cover and not a crazy crowd this definitely fit the bill. read more

We had a fantastic experience coming here for apple picking. Upon entering, you will be given a spacious bucket to collect the apples you pick. There's a pumpkin patch in the middle and with apples trees on either side. There were about 5-6 varieties of apples that were ripe for picking when we came here in late September. Because there was a slight drizzle on the day we went, the place was nearly empty and we almost had the entire place to ourselves. Came here for peach picking on a Sunday. Come early to avoid the crowds. Cash only for fruit picking so bring cash. $1.89/pound for peaches. They give you a bucket and paper bag to put your peaches in. We got a full bucket which came out to about 24 lbs so about $45. In the peach fields, they have yellow and white peaches and nectarines. I don't like giving low reviews, especially for local businesses because I can assume how difficult it is to run and maintain a small business. However, I just did not have a great experience during my latest visit to Battleview Orchards. This was my second time to this location. I don't recall if I enjoyed it the first time around, but I do remember that when I ate their apple cider donuts, I thought to myself that I liked the donuts at Delicious Orchards better. And for this instance, I actually was trying to go to Delicious Orchards for some apple cider donuts but I went on a Monday not realizing that they were closed on Mondays. So I used Yelp to find a nearby orchard with good ratings because I needed to fix my apple cider donut crave. I found Battleview and the name sounded familiar, so I chanced coming here again. I walked in and was not greeted by anyone, nor did any of the employees offer to assist me. It was actually quite the very opposite. I happened to walk towards to employees because they were restocking or fixing the inventory of the items I was headed towards. As if I had some type of employee-repellant on me, they walked away as I neared them. They did not greet me, nor did they offer me any assistance. So I helped myself to some donuts and apple pie and I walked towards the checkout lines. I can't recall if the cashier greeted me but I do remember that after I paid, she turned her back to me and started talking to her coworker about subjects that weren't work-related. I purchased 4 bags of donuts and a box of apple pie, and the cashier didn't even offer a reusable bag to purchase. She just rang me up, took my payment, and turned around and ignored my presence after that - didn't thank me for my purchase nor to have a good rest of my day. I left thinking I would not return to this place again. I ate the donuts and they were dry, and they confirmed my recollection, that Delicious Orchards has better donuts. I ate the apple pie and that was pretty decent. I think the pie was the only redeeming quality of this place. Too bad I will never return again to try anything else. I do think it's unfair that employees have to be extra hospitable to customers when working in a small business versus a chain, but that extra kindness in a small business makes a huge impact for returning customers. And after one bad experience, you've lost a customer for life. read more

Unbelievable pies!! So delicious!! We drive over an hour for these pies and they are so worth it!! We just finished our Christmas meal with a heavenly pumpkin and delectable blueberry crumb. It's beautiful, picturesque and peaceful. The store has lots of item. Some of which are actually made there and many which are not. There is even a hot donut window, which had already closed on the day we went. I found the prices on the pies (14.99 to be a little high, but other items seemed reasonable. We bought some fresh cider, donuts and fritters. The apple cider donuts and apple fritters were awesome. We popped them in the microwave for 10 seconds when we got home. I came here with some friends in October for apple picking. There was plenty to choose from. I think they could've done better with labeling the sections because it was a little confusing. We went to the store after which was my favorite part. The line for the apple cider donuts was insane but totally worth it! The donuts were delicious. So first let's clear something up, the orchards for apple and pumpkin picking does not close at 6pm on Saturdays not sure if they close at 5pm on Sundays. These times shown are FOR THE Store ONLY. Came from Brooklyn got to the orchards at 4:15 and was told they were closed. Not nice, also went to the store was told they close at 6pm buy over $150 of items. Walk over to the Apple cider stand at 5:03 and was told they close at 5 and would not serve me and my kids a cold drink. The entire experienced was ruined for us, I realize the employees put in long days and want to go home as well. But maybe something to consider when the weather is beautiful out to extend your hours of business a little bit or make it clear on the website what time everything closes. read more

What a nice orchard! My family and I went on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. It's never too early to go apple picking, as long as they have them! It was actually the perfect time to go because they had the apples (ginger gold, jonamac, gala, and honey crisp) and they also had late season peaches and nectarines. We got there at around 10:30 and there were some people there picking already. Definitely go early because when we left around 11:30/12ish, it was starting to get more crowded. There is no entrance fee or parking fee, which was amazing and probably one of the only ones I found in the area that didn't have the extra fees. You just pay for what you pick and it's $1.69/lb, which was really cheap (cash only). They provide buckets but if you plan on picking a lot, I would recommend bringing a hand cart or wagon or something. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ida happened the week before so a lot of the apples were on the ground already but there were still plenty to pick. They say to call them after 4 pm the day before you want to go just to double check that everything hasn't been picked. There's also a bakery down the road where you can get freshly made pastries like apple pie, apple cider donuts (although they didn't have apple cider yet), and lots of other things. They also sell fresh produce, fresh mozzarella, hot sauces, spices, basically all local products. That parking lot is a bit messy though because everyone wants to go there. But if you wait a few minutes, you'll get a spot since people don't spend long there. We only wanted to do apple-picking and wanted to avoid the fall crowds, which is why we came so early in the season. But if you're looking for the full fall experience, like hayrides, pumpkins, apple cider, October would probably be better for you. read more
