While on Instagram, I stumbled upon my friends photo who was at a Lavender farm. After doing research, we found out that the lavender farm was closed on Tuesdays. My friend, ended up finding this one, and we are so so glad to have gone. The people who own the farm are SO nice. They gave us baskets and scissors and taught us how to cut the lavender correctly, and some background information on how the lavender can be used. While looking around the property, we saw chickens! There were 4 fields used for lavender picking. The owner even let us pick some berries he had on site. After picking the lavender we bought some amazing homemade lavender products. We had such an amazing time, and we are already planning our next visit!

MORGANVILLE: we're always on the lookout for dog friendly places and things to do, but sometimes there's an experience that really reminds us how beautiful the state of NJ is, how fun it is to live here, and that there's so many dog friendly places than we could have ever imagined! Pleasant Valley Lavender is a lavender farm on a very scenic (and historic) property where you can pick-your-own lavender and buy lavender products from the gift shop. AND, they are dog friendly!!! The owners are super friendly and will give you a quick training on how to make a proper cut and where you can explore the property. There's a few patches of english and french lavender ready for picking. Ask John to see the historic house on the property and the chestnut tree! And, look out for the baby chickens (they are in a coop)! Brie and her pawrents loved it!

It is a fun experience to pick your own lavender!! The owners, John and Ellen are so gracious:) All the workers there are so friendly. They also have cut your own Christmas tree at Christmas. Our family had a great time there. We will definitely go back again!

If you want a feel of lavender-laden French countryside, stop by this little gem of a farm, tucked away by a small road in Morganville. For the admission fee, you receive a basket, scissors for whoever need them in your party, and a twist tie to tie the cut stalks (you can also purchase extra twist ties for more bunches if you cut a lot). I've never cut lavender before so I'm so glad to learn (yes there are preferred way and location to cut it), and have this fun experience! I just didn't realize that it's quite tiring after a while, esp. under the sun (come prepared with hats, sunscreen and water). The owners and the helpers are so friendly, chat with you, explained the types of lavender, history and how to care and harvest them, even set up a hammock for my mom to relax under a tree. Esp. in this pandemic, you're naturally spaced quite apart in the field from other people (it's also pet friendly so you can bring your furry friend on leash). The lavender patches are split into several areas, one is closer to the road, quieter and under a lot more trees. It's a picturesque summer day experience in the open, surrounded by busy bees and butterflies!

I came here right at the end of the season, if you are lucky come between June and July and not at the end of July! Even though I came late, the smell of lavender at times permeated through the fields. The beautiful lavender color was faded at this time but still there were visitors walking through and cutting their own! There is no fee to walk this farm and there are benches, seats, hammocks and even cloth seats that swing! There is also a gift shop with lavender based products and where you can purchase the lavender that you picked in the fields or at the shop. Talk to Max and his brother for some nice tips on dried lavender. They are both very knowledgeable and give you top notch service. This place is relaxing and the smell of lavender is very soothing! Chickens also roam close to one of the houses on the land. Birds are flying around and there are butterflies and other insects! The John to Go is painted a lavender color! I can't vouch for the inside but the outside is an appealing color and prettier than most Porto potties. Lots of new lavender plants are already in the earth, while older plants will make a comeback next year!

I am SO happy I finally took the ride here! Firstly, the people who run this spot are just so nice and friendly. We were greeted with warm smiles and helpful input for how to properly cut the lavender. A small bunch is only $6 and you get quite a bit of lavender. There are three small fields of lavender complete with bumblebees pollinating the pretty purple flowers and butterflies occasionally landing for a nice photo. You're given a basket and scissors and get to walk through the fields and pick your lavender. There are also a few chickens roaming around and a sweet dog who happens to be Employee of the Month. After you're done cutting lavender, there's an area with lavender products for sale such as essential oils, lotion, soaps, and sachets. Such a wonderful experience! I look forward to going back.

What a lovely way to spend a summer day! I took my little girl here this afternoon and picked lavender while she caught butterflies (and pebbles, hehe) with a net they happily shared with her. I just got home and washed off the day with their divine scrub... heavenly all around!

Charming, small, family owned lavender farm. The whole operation is run out of their home. The farm is a beautiful house on a large property. Their are smaller fields on the front lawn and a large field in the backyard. The family is warm and hospitable and friendly! They have a small tent set up with tables and fresh lavender lemonade and lovely lavender goods such as soap, lotions, creams, sachets, and more for sale. Also a section of lavender plants. We went here to cut our own lavender. The setting is gorgeous. Fields of purple lavender with butterflies flying and bees buzzing around (don't worry, they don't bother you). The scent in the air is amazing. They tell you the proper way to cut lavender and set you up with scissors, a basket, and gloves if you want them. Cutting lavender is hard work! But a fun experience nonetheless. I have a newfound appreciation for lavender. A hat is a must, as you will be in blazing sunshine with little to no shade. After you cut your bundle they'll wrap it up for you. $6 for a small, $10 for a large. They tell you how to dry it properly. You can also buy already cut and dried lavender bunches if you're lazy.

There isn't any place to sit and sip your drinks, but instead of sitting, you can take your latte for a stroll around the shop. This seems like a great place for stocking stuffers and gifts. They have lotions, soaps, candles, holiday decor pieces, ornaments. All things that everyone loves to receive and rarely buys for themselves. If you are in more of a window shopping mood, they have samples of everything. At the cafe counter (also where you can pay) you'll find a small but mighty coffee menu. I got the gingerbread latte and loved every sip. My coworker got the latte with hot honey in it and said it had just the right kick. For a place that doesn't seem to specialize in coffees, they did make two wonderful drinks for us. There was plenty of parking and it looks like they do quite a bit outside (maybe on the weekends?) with the tree lot and farm in the back.

There were plenty of spots on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. When you enter you go through these giant barn doors. The inside is a lot of fall decor with candles, bakeware, kitchen towels, all the cute home stuff that makes your house extra cozy for fall. They also have a little coffee area too but I had already gotten coffee earlier so I didn't order any. Although everything was super cute, it was also a bit pricey so I unfortunately only bought some lotion which was really moisturizing and smelled AMAZING. Something I really liked is that you could sample most of the lotions and sprays so although I didn't buy them, I could at least try them out. If you go through the back exit, you enter the farm portion with a little pumpkin patch, donkeys, and sheep! There were a few places for "photo ops" too. If you walk further there's actually a little garden/flower field which was really nice to walk around and take pictures. You couldn't pick any flowers at this time but maybe we could've earlier in the season in the summer. This was a cute little farm that I would come back to for another season to see how they change it up. Although some of the items were pricier I would come back to get something as a gift. I think there's a lot of nice stuff to give for a housewarming and it's good quality too.

This place is a REAL farm, operating since 1860, and is simply magical. You will find only the most wonderfully friendly staff, the most sincere pumpkin patch that Linus would be proud of, and a memorable day outside in the beauty of nature and what makes farm life, farm life. For $5 per person, you are covered for a hay ride to and from the pumpkin patch. A REAL pumpkin patch; not just pumpkin purchased and thrown in a field with straw. Like, maybe bring a small knife to cut these babies free to take home with you! The ride around was super cute with how they decorated the property (I won't completely spoil it for you!) and allowed you to take in the little changes in fall foliage peeking out. For $8 per person, you get access to pick your own flowers for $1 per sunflower and $0.50 per other flower variations, as well as a corn pit, tractor tire tower, obstacle course, basketball hoops, slides, and more. Our 4 year old absolutely had a BALL in the corn kernel pit and the slides really tested his bravery. The two food trucks on location had responsibly prices pork rolls, hot dogs, apple cider donuts and drinks, whereas if you wanted to splurge and be a foodie, they had a BBQ food truck as well. I wasn't too sure about coming here since it's an hour away from us that it would be open, but sure enough, I called and it was until 7PM that day! Drive slow or you could easily miss it! Parking is minimal, but free. There's no rides or attractions here; just a place to sit on the bench and feed the farm animals. If that's all you desire, then this is the place for you! My son has sensory issues, so coming here was one of the greatest day trips we've experienced to date. He was completely dressed from head to toe as a fireman, but that didn't stop him from running back and forth to feed the chickens, turkeys and the goats. The pigs were too busy snoozing, and the bunnies were hiding, so we didn't get to enjoy them this visit. I was told to bring quarters and I'm so glad we did. It was small enough for him to feel comfortable to get up close and personal to the animals, and for us to practice "gentle hands". My heart burst when the chickens were crowding around him, and he said, "Don't cry; I'm coming!" while cupping his little hands with feed. I wish we were closer; we'd come every weekend. We had the place to ourselves for about a half hour before another family came. This place thrives on the honor system, whereas you must bring exact change to purchase eggs, butters, maple syrup, honey, and even little toys. I dropped $20 easily with two dozen farm fresh eggs ($6 a dozen) and a jar of maple pumpkin butter that is to die for! My husband even bought a little toy chicken for his desk to have as a keepsake for this wonderful visit. I don't want to share this place with other people because it means so much to us now!
