    Pizza and aperol spritz

Great service and food. The owner is very happy and nice all the time. We came back our second day because it was so good. Also has indoor seating with a ton of fans. Lot less crowded than the panini shops. Makes the best aperol spritz in the city and good price as well.

Make sure you check this place out! It's amazing focaccia pizza made with whole wheat crust and a variety of daily toppings. The owner is an expert at his craft and takes 3 days to prepare his incredible dough. They also serve wine and non-alcoholic beverages, including the most delicious Prosecco for just 3 Euro per glass! You pay by the weight, so you tell him worst flavors you want and what size serving of each, then he weighs it and heats it up so it's perfectly crispy, fluffy, and gooey. I came every day I was in Florence and don't regret a single bite!

This was by far the best pizza I've ever had. I will never be the same! The staff are friendly and accommodating. You pay by weight so you can have a lot of one kind or try a little piece of everything! We almost left when we walked in and saw how thick the slices were but the crust is surprisingly light and delicious. It is tucked into a little side street, but don't miss it!

BEST PIZZA PLACE OF ALL TIME. My love for Gustarium will never die. The dough is absolutely to die for, and the pizza is never the same! The owner & chef is the sweetest, politest, genuine human being on the planet- treating everyone he meets so well. He also is probably one of the best chef's in Florence. If i could give this place one thousand stars I would. I would recommend this place to anyone. I would also recommend going EARLY. His pizza usually sells out within 1-2 hours. Go grab a slice before it's too late!

Small place. Always packed, for good reason.

Fantastic pizza spot in Florence! We found this place on our second to last day and went back on the last day again it was so good! The dough is crispy and light and delicious. The concept is really great- they have a bunch of different kinds of pizza and they cut off some slices for you of each kind. They get the exact perfect amount. We LOVED the one that had sausage and mushrooms and tart berries. Every pizza was delicious and crispy and cheesy. Can't recommend enough! The owner is incredible nice and helpful so be sure to stop in!

Stopped in on our last day in Florence and wish we would have found it sooner! This was our favorite pizza we tried while visiting. The flavors of pizza were all perfect and well balanced without overpowering the crust which was light, crispy, and full of flavor! The service was 10/10 and the owner/chef was so friendly and passionate! Highly recommend giving it a try.

Pizza with salami & pizza with olives and pistachios (100 g each = 200g)

Delicious pizza! The whole wheat dough is given 48 hours to rise. The bread is airy and delicious. We tried two of the four flavors they had, and both were good. Fyi, no big sign outside so you may miss the store.

We went to this Pizzeria in Florence, It was the best that we tried so far. The service was very good because they seemed that they were very happy and excited. They also asked me if I liked my food and when I said it was good they were very happy. The atmosphere was amazing, right when I went in they gave me a seat. They show you the food through the glass which I really liked. The Cheese was the best part because it was fresh and very thick. Overall it was amazing!

Best pizza I've ever had! Definitely a must eat when visiting Florence. The crust is perfectly crunchy, and the toppings are delicious and abundant. You order by size/weight, they cut your pizza slices using kitchen shears, reheat your pizza, cut your slices if you're sharing, then bring them out to you. It gets really busy, seating is limited, and tables are small, so I recommend getting there right when they open. It's very different from American pizza, but SO delicious. My favorite pizza had meat, mushrooms, onions, and two cheeses on it, while my husband preferred the burrata and tomato pizza. But honestly, it was all amazing!

    Free samples and Prosecco!

My wife and I walked down the alley that is full of pizza spots. This one looked new, hip and clean so we dipped in. We were happily greeted and met the 2 brothers that own the shop. He asked if we wanted to learn about the pizza Ann's quickly explained the origins of each ingredient, how they make the dough, what makes them different and how they didn't even start creating food and cooking until 2 years ago. This is hands down the best pizza we have had so far! They brought out a couple glasses of Prosecco and multiple extra plates of pizza for us to try, for free! I couldn't let them not charge me, so I forced a $10 tip! They are seriously too nice! This is a must stop for anyone in the area

From the outside, it looks like a grand, iron-and-glass structure typical of European markets; inside, it opens into a bustling, multi-level space filled with food vendors, communal tables, and constant movement. The vibe is energetic, social, and slightly chaotic in a fun way - perfect for grazing, group dining, or trying multiple cuisines in one visit (from Italian to American to Mexican!). We stopped in for a quick lunch at around 2pm on a Wednesday; there was plenty of seating at high-top tables, and QR codes on paper menus make it easy to explore all the different food vendor options. It's also a fun activity to peruse the market, taking in different sights, smells, and flavors. All of us ended up opting for Schiacciatas (large Italian sandwiches that are a staple in Florence) from Massimiliano Parri, which all ended up ranging from €10-12, depending on toppings - yes, it's more expensive than what you'd get from a traditional schiacciateria, but you're also paying for the market's location and convenience. We appreciated the fact that they shave the meat right in front of you! My schiacciata came with freshly shaved ham atop crusty white bread, slathered with burrata cheese, and sprinkled with arugula and figs (I opted for no additional olive oil, since I found the ham quite rich already). I loved the contrast of textures and flavors, though I will say that the bread ended up cutting the roof of my mouth! All in all, Mercato Centrale is a bit touristy, but still miles better (and cheaper) than most "Italian" sandwich places you'd find in the US (pro tip: save your receipt for free use of their bathrooms). The variety can't be beaten, prices are reasonable for a central market, and it's steps from some of Florence's most iconic spots.
