You literally leave this place feeling like you are leaving heaven. Its clean, spacious and quiet! My husband booked this place for my birthday. We got the honeymoon suite and the room was gorgeous. The spa in this room sits upstairs with a view that is priceless. We woke up and heard a little knock, when we opened the door we found a cart with breakfast was made to suite, like we were the King and Queen! Yogurt Parfait, strawberry shortcake waffles, fresh fruit, fresh flowers and so much more! WOW..... Actual brand name Keurig coffee pods, tea and custom cups IN my room! I have never been in a BNB where the cable channels were free! There was a journal book in the room for guests and people wrote in it about their experiences at the BNB and a few of the stories brought tears! It was just so cool to know that I was in a place where I felt like I was valued as more than just a guest! I WILL be back! You cannot go wrong booking this place, it's absolutely EPIC.

The unit was very cozy with a large master bedroom with a king size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a nice living room, seating area and a very pleasant patio overlooking the lake and the swimming pool. There was a large bathroom with a shower and a beautiful whirlpool bath. It had all the comforts of home. The staff was very friendly. We were served a complementary breakfast brought to our door every day with our choice of menu items. We had a wonderful stay and would like to come back here again the next time we come to Door County.

It was more than I generally pay for lodging, but I found that it is well worth the price. One issue that could be corrected. The floor of the shower is contiguous with the floor of the bathroom in suite 11.. There is noting to keep the water in the shower. We made it work by soaking up the errant water, but the design is flawed.

This place makes me want to be an innkeeper when I'm older…read more It's an old 2 building inn nestled off the main road of Hwy 42 in the quaint lil town of Ephraim in Door County. The accommodations were renovated, clean and well-maintained. I stayed in Bill's Room - b/c it was the least expensive boarding with a good reputation. At $80/night (for either on or off season), it's definitely more affordable than the nearby inns/motels. Don't expect a lot of amenities with the small room though - but there is coffee, free WiFi, and cable TV. No phone though, which made things difficult since we had absolutely no reception on our cell phones. A complete Cell Phone Dead Zone - I had to drive out a few minutes onto the 42 in order to call the innkeepers to have them come fix some broken blinds. Inconvenient, but not too bad. As it's a small, family-owned inn, they don't have someone manning the office everyday. But Hugh and Alicia were just a phone call away and would drop by when you needed something. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay - the other rooms they have available are really nice - w/ fireplaces, sitting areas, etc. Their website is well set up with photos of the rooms and prices for the season. It's centrally located in Ephraim and walking distance to the water and restaurants. Check it out next time you're in Door County!

A stay here is like a nostalgic return to summer camp, both indoors and out. There's a porch for sipping beverages, a garden to explore, and a waterfall pond. The antique-filled guest rooms are delightful with interesting nooks and crannies. The main floor suite occupies one wing of the house. We've also stayed in the upstairs suite, which gives you the run of the entire floor. Guest rooms offer privacy and include TV (satellite), Wi-Fi, fridge, coffee maker, and snacks. The queen-size beds are very comfortable. Guest rooms also have individually-controlled heat and AC. We've been here many times and always look forward to returning!

We felt the pool water and it was warm in July. The fire pit was lit at night. The property is very well maintained. We stayed 4 nights. There is no daily maid service. You put your trash and towels outside your door and they leave you a bag of new towels. Breakfast was 8-10am. Bagels, donuts, muffins, string cheese, flavored non Greek yogurt, juice machine, coffee machine, tea, cereals, packets of plain and flavored oatmeal, apples, bananas, toast, & granola bars. I wish they had boiled eggs and Greek plain yogurt for added protein. There is an ice machine and water refill station in the breakfast room. The staff kept to themselves and didn't interact with guests unless guests approached them. We drove to town. It would be over a mile walk along a country road to get to town. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and I would stay again.

The backyard area was so nice backing up to woods, it felt extremely private, peaceful and quiet and only a 4 minute drive to the sister bay beach. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only wish was that they had smart tv or a dvd player as I find local cable television to be a bit boring. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
