A very romantic getaway, complete with a modern, stocked kitchen... I enjoyed making breakfast and dinner. The pots, pans and tools are fantastic, perfect for anything you desire. Glassware, plates and pretty settings are provided. Go to the stores and indulge in local produce, coffee, honey, cheese, butter, pastry, beer, wine... Anne at the desk was sweet, thoughtful and so helpful! When you stay here you are given a loaf of fresh made bread, a jar of delicious and novel preserves (I selected a savory sweet potato butter but there were many more options!) The beds are soft, warm and comfortable. You can easily, comfortably have six adults sleeping blissfully. There is a fireplace, a charming Christmas tree, painterly views in every direction and stargazing at night. Television for those who don't want go out or hike and explore. Cozy furniture for reading. Lots of open space for outdoorsy play. Our beagle was lovingly welcomed. He was so happy to romp the trails and be welcomed in local places with treats! My one and only suggestion should you visit in the winter is to bring a hair dryer. I wish one was stocked here but don't forget to bring your own. It is cold outside! read more

My wife and I had a great stay. The cabin would easily fit 6. It was quiet, clean, pet friendly, well stocked, and had nice cookware. A charcoal grill and fire pit with ample wood was furnished. Hiking trails for the adventurous. Tasty bread and jam for guests. read more

The family and I were excited about our stay at the cabin after reading the history on it. Upon arriving at the property they informed us that the the people in the cabin thought they booked it for another day and since they were regulars she moved us to another house. Unfortunately the house we were moved to was just a house and the whole reason for booking in the first place was to stay in the cabin. A call would of been appreciated letting us know of the change prior to our arrival. Seeing that is was already late on New Years weekend we didn't have much of a choice to stay the night. A few hours later she did call back and offered to move us back to the cabin after the people checked out the next day but at that point we already booked someplace else. The house had musty odor to it and the pillows were way to firm but other than that everything else was in good order and very clean. The grounds were great with plenty of room to roam. I enjoyed reading the history of the family and house with all the pictures and such. She did offer us $ 100 for our inconvenience but after telling her we were only staying the night no longer offered us the credit. read more

We were really looking forward to staying here because of other reviews and pictures. Unfortunately we were incredibly disappointed. The beds were the first disappointment, and both my boyfriend and I woke up several times throughout the night. The rooms are poorly air conditioned and there is a sheer lace window covering so at 5 am be prepared to wake up early with the sun. Lastly we were in town for the door county half ironman and when making the reservation the owners had assured us that we could check out later than the standard 11am. However they showed up and started yelling at us that we would need to pay for another night or leave. After the woman realized her mistake she did not apologize but simply said "plans change" and other guests were now coming. It was rude and embarrassing. It wouldn't have been a big deal at all had they simply talked to us. I wouldn't recommend staying here. ....also take note when make reservations that it seems like a deal at $205 a night with 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath but they charge an additional $20 per day per person/pet, so for 4 of us and a dog it was well over $600 for two nights read more

We stayed in the cabin. Annie was a wonderful hostess! We were greeted with home baked sticky buns and pecan butter. The cabin was VERY clean and cozy. We immediately felt right at home and enjoyed all of the details bigs and small that made us feel welcome! Very pet friendly even our dog was relaxed here. We have already recommended it to friends and family and would like to return! read more

The customer service was terrible especially the way the owner (Annie Miller) talks to their customers. We had a situation where the owner called us and e-mailed us a couple times after our stay and during these communications we were spoken to very unprofessional. I work with business owners every day and a owner of a company has never spoken to me as disrespectfully as Annie did (rudeness is all I can say). Also couple weeks after my stay, the owners still had my credit card number which is concerning with all of the stolen credit card numbers occurring lately. We have been to thousands of different places and the cabin and land was amazing; however, with how we were treated by the owners we will never be going back to that cabin again.
