We are located in Leduc, and Leroy is the Leduc area contractor for Gutter Doctor. We hired gutter doctor to do an assessment and change for our drainage, and at the same time clean the gutters. The job was quoted at $800 for the drainage fix, and $300 for cleaning. If the job had been done successfully we would have no problem paying, but Leroy and his assistant were only at the property for 2 hours and the work they completed was sub-par. (It's a stretch to even call it completed). The drainage problem does not appear to be fixed (he only removed a downspout and said this should fix any problems. It is now putting too much water in our front yard and drowning our grass.) There is also still standing water in our top eavestrough and they are telling me it is not a drainage issue. The "cleaning" was haphazard and lazy at best. They did not use any water-they just brushed them out, and left all of the debris scattered all over the yard. When we contacted them about the debis, they came and collected it, and then dropped it in our front flower bed. Management has been made aware of the problems and nothing has been done. No one other than Leroy has contacted us, and it appears that Gutter Doctor does not care about the quality of work done by their subcontractors. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

City of Edmonton. Needed three pieces of fascia which had been blown off to be put back on. I was told someone would be out to look at it in about a week. Nobody ever showed up or called. A waste of my time. Had to call another company. read more

I sent them a message requesting an estimate for repair / replacement of some of our gutters, and Matt the technician came to our home the very next day. He was professional and offered us some great advice about what would work in terms of the way our home and garage are set up. His knowledge and experience was very helpful in this situation, and we appreciated his input. The estimate he provided for the work we needed was very fair, and he was able to begin the work right away. I would not recommend this company. Their work was good, but the estimate and billing process, in my case, was a total gong show. I requested an estimate online. An employee called me and said he was at my home and would check it out and give me an estimate. Sadly, I was not home at the time. He called me with an estimate and I am positive he said $225, but later when I received the emailed invoice, the price was $325. I also received a text from said employee that mentioned a repair that took place, but then he texted again and said he texted the wrong customer. I then suspected the invoices somehow got mixed up. As hard as I tried, I could not get a satisfactory explanation for the difference, either from the employee or from the head office. So, just a warning...make sure you see the written invoice before the work starts, and be home when work proceeds. read more

I called a few gutter replacement companies in Edmonton for a quote to have the soffit, fascia and eaves replaced on my house. My home was built in 1912 so every job is difficult and nearly every cut is custom. My house is a very tall 2 story and still had the original solid wood soffit from when it was built that housed the original wood chip insulation. Roy Gantvoort from the gutter doctor came out right when he said he would and spent a significant amount of time assessing the current structure which included climbing up the 30 foot ladder in several locations and doing a real inspection prior to quoting the job. (2 other companies offered quotes without even getting a ladder out of the truck and one said they did not want the job unless I hired a carpenter beforehand to replace all of the wooden fascia boards). Roy (the gutter doctor) started the job promptly and tore out all of the old soffit, fascia, eaves and backer fascia wood as well as the bags and bags of lose wood chips and cleaned it all up and disposed of the garbage. Over the next couple of days he secured new wood fascia cut down the gables so the lines were straight, fixed any structural issues and replaced the soffit and fascia. The work looks great and I feel (based on other quotes) that the price was very fair. The work by Roy is a solid 5 out of 5. I still have to have the eaves installed by a separate crew that does the seamless eaves and downspouts. I will provide a final review once the eaves have been installed. read more

The Gutter Doctor is without question the best company I have used for gutter repair and gutter cleaning. They are honest, professional, knowledgeable, and offer expert advice, particularly in providing solutions to existing gutter problems. Unfortunately, I had used a different company to replace the roof, soffits, fascia, and eavestroughs. They replaced the original steel gutters with aluminum gutters, without ever discussing the option of steel with me. Had they done so, I would have chosen steel gutters. One of the new aluminum gutters was crumpled like paper by a nearby tree during a strong wind, and when the company came out to discuss solutions, theirs was simply to replace the damaged aluminum gutter with one of the same, knowing full well that it would only be an event of another strong wind storm before the new gutter was crumpled just like the first. They told me that I could not replace the gutter with a steel gutter, which had never, over the course of five decades, ever crumpled in a wind storm, because there had to be a continuous flow of water and that the steel replacement would disallow that flow. Upon refusing to replace the gutter with another aluminum gutter (for another $800), they sent out a serviceman who offered up a ridiculous solution of using a big piece of rubber he had at home to protect the aluminum gutter from being crumpled. I declined and called The Gutter Doctor, who did indeed replace the gutter with steel, which has remained perfectly intact ever since...no crumpling in the wind and perfectly continuous flow! Thank you Gutter Doctor! More recently, I discovered their reasonable pricing to do the gutter cleaning only, as well as the extent to which they actually clean the gutters and was very impressed not only by their thoroughness, but also by the expert advice I was given on how to better protect my gutters and roof. I have, in the past, paid close to $200 to have different gutter cleaners simply blow the leaves from the gutters and be done in twenty minutes; no thorough cleaning, no water run through the gutters, no advice, nothing. The Gutter Doctor will be back again to service the house in Spring and I rest easily in the comfort of knowing that I have found a company whose knowledge base is admirable and whose work is of the highest standard, and all within a very competitive price range, too. I will continue to use The Gutter Doctor in the future, and I would very strongly suggest to anyone looking for gutter cleaning, repair, replacement, etc., to do the same: call The Gutter Doctor! read more

Maybe they should learn how to drive and not cut people off in traffic! . The driver didn't use a signal and just cut right in front of me like it was no big deal. They don't even deserve the 1 star for this. Hope their work is not as shotty as their driving. Likely won't call them if I need a plumber or gutters cleaned. read more

Contacted Gutter Doctor Sept 16, their appraiser came and provided us with a work order proposal and said the job would be addressed within 2-3 weeks, after not hearing back from anyone I called their office and was told the installer would contact me. Another week goes by, still not hearing from anyone so I call again and was told that they had stopped by but no one was home, arranged to meet with them on upcoming Friday, Friday came and went, no one showed or called. Followed up again, finally came that afternoon, discussed the job and options for repair. Booked the service for October 31. Guess what, got a call that they weren't going to show as they felt they couldn't successfully do the job. Contacted another company who will do the job, but not until Spring as it's now too late in the season. read more

Arrived about an hour late but did call 45 minutes later to let me know he was on route. Was very thorough in trying to identify the cause of the problem with the gutter/downspout. Very professional and communicated well with me through the repairs ensuring I was comfortable with the work that would be done. A receipt was provided. Totally Disappointing..... The people at gutter doctor sweet talk to the customers they did in my case. I had requested a quote from the company for addressing my leak in the gutter and the company scheduled a guy to come in and check my gutter and give me a cost for the work to be done at later time. He checked and gave me a quote for about 800-900$ for the work and gave me a form to sign and I mentioned to him that I will get back to him later and he scheduled a date tentatively for the work.I never confirmed the appointment. I was not happy with the quote and checked with another company and requested a quote and got the work done which came to around 225.75$ which is almost 600$ less than the quote i had got from Gutter Doctor.I promptly cancelled my appointment more than 5 - 6 days ahead of my tentatively scheduled date (unconfirmed date) with this company. But to my surprise I got an invoice for 157.5$ and the customer service person was very rude over the phone and never listened to me and kept asking for the money. I was not sure what to do and mentioned that I wont be able to pay for the services I never ordered or confirmed. But now I got second notice saying that it will be sent to collection service. I never got any service from them and I dont see any reason why i should pay the money. Also they mention that it is for the materials that they ordered for my work and I dont agree with that as I had cancelled my appointment well in advance.they falsely say that i cancelled the appointment on the day of my appointment. Horrible company and I will never recommend this to anyone. read more

Our gutters and downspouts needed a cleaning so, after using another company they still did not drain, we called Gutter Doctor. The technician advised us he would properly clean the gutter and after watching him take apart all of our downspouts (we live in a two story home), blow them out and re-install, everything worked just great! read more
