I had the WORST experience here.I got my conch pierced with a horrible quality metal stud and butterfly backing, not meeting the standards for proper earrings for cartilage, for which I paid $82.10. Upon returning the same day for a corrective procedure with an appropriate earring, there were further complications. She used a small needle, not designated for piercings, 15 minutes of her trying to shove the earring in my ear causing discomfort and excessive bleeding. Additionally,Gwen demanded a $20 charge for the earring she was originally supposed to pierce me with when I already paid for it.I mentioned to her that I've already paid for it but she kept demanding for more money,| promise you these peircers do not care about quality or their customers they solely just want your money,she wouldn't stop demanding 20$ extra for the hell she put me through until we agreed to disagree and I paid 10$ so she would stop harassing me.I believe it's crucial to address these concerns,I don't believe these people are even qualified for piercings. read more

A truly messed up experience -- literally threatened by an employee. I want to preface this by saying I have had 20-30 piercings in my lifetime and very much understand the risks involved with regard to the possibility of "wasting" money due to piercings rejecting/not healing properly. On that note, my friend and I came on a whim to get piercings. Initially was quoted $70-80 for each piercing, I ended up paying almost $170 (100 for one piercing + tax, 20 for upgraded jewelry, and a tip). Although we were slightly misled with the pricing, we ultimately were extremely happy dealing with the 2 women that worked there and our piercings were exactly what we were looking for. So although we thought it was quite pricey, we still left very happy. Unfortunately, after 2 days, my jewelry fell out randomly. It looked a bit bent, so I don't think the backing was sitting properly. I sent the shop a message on Instagram (they requested we follow them) asking if I could pop by for them to reinsert the jewelry as I couldn't get it back in. I assumed that the hole had begun to close slightly since it was so new. I was left on read so I gave them a call. As soon as I mentioned I was the person that messaged them on Instagram, I was met with extreme anger by the man (Joe?) on the phone. He was incredibly rude, would not let me explain my situation, refused to offer any help and told me I would need to pay for another piercing if they were to help me (that would've been another $113). I explained that the jewelry was bent in a way that would prevent the backing from staying on at which point he responded "say there was something wrong with the jewelry one more time and if you ever step foot in here again, you will have a bigger problem than your piercing situation." I am not a confrontational person, so at that point I was quite literally trying not to cry. I just wanted to keep the piercing so I asked if I could pay a discounted rate to get the situation sorted. He extremely rudely told me to come in to "see if they were willing to do anything for me" which I agreed to. I had been visiting my university town when this happened and decided to call my regular place before I committed to driving back for this. That shop got me in immediately, straightened the jewelry for me and then reinserted it all free of charge knowing that they did not do the piercing originally. Customer service is everything when you run a business and threatening paying customers that are asking for help with your product is definitely not the move. I was a little torn on how to review my experience at this shop. Positives: - very clean and calming atmosphere. Love all the greenery and that the music wasn't blaring at full volume - staff were really pleasant, friendly, and attentive - my artist was very gentle, which makes for a nice sit - supportive of my physical limitations Negatives: - it was clear my artist hadn't looked at my reference photos or the tattoo design until we sat down to do it. Front desk staff seemed primarily responsible for the creative, and I wish the design had been drawn fresh in a similar illustrative style vs. taken directly from the inspo illustration I provided - the color I wanted didn't match the reference photos I provided, so I'll need future touch-ups. When asked, I said the color was fine because it looks fine, just not what I wanted. We had also pushed passed my set time limit and I just wanted to go. I think the positives outweigh the negatives, but the negatives are big enough that I hesitate to go back. I wasn't formally introduced to my artist, nor was I told her name or who I'd be working with in any of our email back and forth before my session. I was just sort of sitting there wondering who I should actually talk to about my design. My tattoo is still fresh, so I can't speak to the healing process, but it seems to be doing well. read more

Top of industrial is near the peak of my ear cartilage vs. near where the ear meets the face. The piercer, Gwan Soon Lee herself, with 15 years of experience can't tell irritation from infection. Does not offer consultation and no follow-up appointments. Warned her about anatomical concerns but assured me she could do it. Offers to redo the job for free only after multiple complaints and "lost business". As if I'd go back after she missed the mark this badly! She insists, despite it all, that she's done it correctly and I'm simply unhappy. She only reaches out to yell at me and demand to know the name of the person I got a second opinion from because how dare that person interfere with her business. Also overcharges. No touch-ups unless getting another tattoo of the same colour and charges for tat wax/piercing aftercare. You be the judge. read more

i honestly really liked the idea of my tattoo and thought it was really cute when i first got it. as it's healed i realized there are so many errors and i've come to feel really ashamed about it. for an artists that's supposedly been tattooing for a long time, they don't do great work. especially for something as simple as tracing lettering. my letters aren't the same size and are consistently very shaky. adding onto this, their socials are really misleading! i wouldn't recommend getting anything from here. the shop then tried to act like i'm not a customer even though i have emails from them and pictures from their socials to prove i was here about three weeks ago. honestly just lost respect for the place, just accept you make mistakes and don't try to cover it up. i noticed they have posted this comment under other bad reviews and it's hilarious because just take responsibility for your work. this is the email i used to book my tattoo, how do you have no record of me as a customer? the majority of the posts on ig are of one artists work and everyone else only gets features on the ig story. so there's no way to see a portfolio for any of the other artists. i wonder why? my tattoo looks a lot worse as it's healed, as if it was written by a child. not to mention, the girl said they usually charge for touch ups. so you give me a crooked tattoo and then want me to pay more for you to f it up even more? interesting. honestly weak. if you make a mistake own it. hoping that i can go to a tattoo shop that doesn't fake reviews and false advertise their skills so i can get something i truly love. thanks for ruining my first tattoo. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I had a tattoo appointment with Jina Lee (who is the daughter of the owner). Its the worst experience I have ever had. I gave her a few pictures of what I wanted my tattoo to look like and she showed up late for my appointment and insisted that she can just "free hand" it. She was so lazy and unprofessional. She was also a bit of an air head. Tattoo come out horrible and I had to have another shop clean it up. Also - the shop is also the size of a kitchen and she kept on sneezing during my appointment. Went in to get my navel re-pierced and the piercer asks about my stretch marks if thats what happens from pregnancy and I said no I'm not a mother I just had weight fluctuations and she goes "ooh I'm sorry"...and she was trying to get me to get a touch-up for my tattoo while I was there and while I was paying for my piercing, another employee was trying to get me to come back for another tattoo. I got my tattoo done by Gwansoon herself and I brought a photo of a small butterfly tattoo I had found on the internet. The girl had it on her ankle and it had 4 colours in each wing Starting with Purple - Blue - Green - Yellow all blending together to look as if it were fading. I was getting mine enlarged and put on my shoulder with my nickname my baby sister had given me. The whole time she argued with me saying that the 4 colours can't be done in such a small space (Remember I got mine enlarged x2 from the original) and told me I had to pick only 3 colours. First off she made me really upset before even getting my tattoo done then second she did the tattoo nothing like the photo I brought in.. She put blue where black was suppose to be in the wings and made one wing round and the other pointy. She also chose a yellow that blended with my skin tone so you can't even see it. All in all, I'm VERY unhappy with the outcome and how rude she was with me! I am never going back and I'm getting my tattoo fixed by someone else. read more

Got my nose pierced. Jina was great my process with her was fast and easy. The next day I noticed my piercing had started to sink in, I went into the shop to change the jewelry and this process was freaking painful. It was done by an older lady who did not give a single shit about being gentle, her customer service was subpar and I was told the process of changing the jewelry took longer because I was wincing in pain. Also they charge you for jewelry changes, other places such as chronic ink and pierced only charge the jewelry fee and waive the changing fee if you had gotten pierced at their location. Ended up paying $135 in total for this whole ordeal absolutely regretted going here however I had to since pierced wasn't doing any piercing around the masked area. read more

i got two cartilage piercings at this location. not only did they mis- inform me about getting hoops on ur cartilage the first time, but they proceeded to sell me a mouthwash aftercare spray that made my whole ear start peeling, bleeding, and full on infected. they didn't inform me that i wasn't supposed to get studs instead of hoops and instead let me get the hoops so they could charge me more. DO NOT GO HERE. Xtremetes is a way better place. read more

I got all my small tattoos from them and had no problem. I then wanted something bigger and decided to get a piece on my arm. I spent about $800 on the tattoo which the artist decided to do in one session. Me being new to the whole thing thought nothing of it. About 6 hours in, my arm was completely swollen and I was unable to continue. The artist rushed the rest of the tattoo. I went in after it was healed completely because it still looked unfinished in the part she was doing towards the end. She argued with me saying that it was finished and that was how it was supposed to look. Anyone can easily see that it was not complete and she acted as if she did not know what I was talking about. She was giving me attitude and I just decided to forget it. She made it seem as if I was trying to make her change my tattoo for free when in fact I was just asking her to finish the tattoo she left incomplete. She then asked for an additional $80 to fill in the tattoo that I had already paid for and expected a finished result. During the first session she also said that the touch-ups would be free or around $20, cost of needles. Will not be returning to them from now on. read more
