We had an after-hours issue in the home we are renting and the renter's HVAC company was not available. I contacted Gwyn and someone called me back and was in route within 45 minutes. Everyone I spoke to, including the technician, were so friendly. He knew exactly what to look for and had us up and running in a very short amount of time. Do not call them out to fix anything for you, I made the mistake of calling them and another company out. I wanted to get two estimates to see how costly it was going to be. Their technician stood by and let the other company do the work but still charged a service fee. I called to complain and the not pleasant operator said our prices are on our website, but they are not. I had scheduled an online appointment and no where does it state what the service charge for a man standing by while another company does the work will be. We had a plumber to come out this evening, he was awesome!!!!! His name is Brad Allen. We actually had someone to come out for same problem a few months back, and did a quick fix. So he had double trouble to fix. He took the time and had the patience more than most workers, especially on call. He is just a great man, and I would recommend him to anyone. I was looking for a qualified and long-standing company to start a maintenance contract with for my A/C units. Being new to the area, I wasn't sure where to start. I found information about them in a local publication and called their office. The receptionist was very nice and informative. She then passed me to a man named Roger who so nice and helpful. He told me all about the company, the services they offer, and the various maintenance plans available. I loved that they also did electrical and plumbing work, and that my maintenance plan on the A/C units would also give me 15% off other services. He signed me up promptly and scheduled a technician to come out 2 mornings later at 8am. Normally it would have been 8:30am, but I told them I needed to be at work as soon as possible that morning. On the morning of my appointment, I called their office at 8:10am since no one had shown up and I'd not gotten a confirmation call. I spoke to Roger again. He apologized as he'd somehow mixed up my appointment and it wasn't even on the books! I have to say that I was upset. However, his kindness and ability to react quickly to the situation was what sealed this deal for me. Within 15 minutes, I not only had one Technician at my door, but two! They were both so nice and professional. They went to work right away! One on the inside, and one on the outside. They both explained every step to me, answered all of my questions, told me what to expect coming up in the summer months, and even gave me tips on running my units and saving electricity. They noticed that my filters had recently been changed, so they left me 2 brand new filters for the next time I needed to change them. But, they would be out again in the summer and most likely I would only have to change them once in between that time. Very nice guys! I called Roger back at his office and thanked him for his quick turnaround of this situation. I also let him know what a great crew he had! I highly recommend this company and look forward to having them in my corner for any other issues in my house that may arrive! read more

I was in a crunch and read good reviews about Gwyn. I called and they were able to come next day. My list of to-dos was to install a new kitchen faucet, fix a refrigerator line for the ice maker, and fix a diverter valve. The person who came was friendly and courteous and Told me that just showing up would cost me $101 and that they charged by the job, not by the hour. He told me the total price up front, $570 for those 3 items on my list. He did the job and I was happy with the quality. I give 3 stars not because of the quality of work, but because of price. I have had many plumbing projects done and this has been one of the most expensive. If you are having trouble getting someone to come and do work, this company will probably get you scheduled right away. Otherwise, you will probably save lots of money going with someone else. read more

They responded quickly, gave good estimates, and didn't have any surprise charges. The installers were knowledgeable and prompt and cleaned up the mess after they were finished. I don't know how it could have gone any better. I would call on them again. read more

For almost 20 years I have used Gwyn's services. The washer was not draining properly. The tech checked it out and said the septic tank needed to be pumped. I was charged for a service call. The tank was pumped but the washer did not drain. Gwyn sent out 2 techs who then snaked the line and all was well. I was charged for another service call and $100 for snaking the line. I asked mgmt. why wasn't the line snaked the first time to ensure it was clear? I was told 90% of the time pumping the tank would fix the issue. I also spoke to the person who pumped the tank and he said it was 3/4 full as was NOT the reason for the washer not draining. Point is I should NOT have been charged the extra $98 service call fee when the clogged line should have been cleared the first time. After no success talking to the mgr. I am now looking for a new service company. read more

I don't know where to start, but the title here is "THEFT". I have been renting through the same company for a total of 4 years and I have NEVER experienced so much disrespect, rudeness and unprofessional-ism in my life. Whenever there is an emergency, such as plumbing, the people I rent from call Gwyn to come out immediately. In the past they've been ok, but this one topped the cake. I called my rental group around 9:30am on a Saturday morning to let him know my toilet wasn't working & looked like it was going to overflow (this being the 5th time this has happened). My property group immediately got to it and called Gwyn. 6 HOURS LATER I receive a call from a guy, Brad, at Gwyn. I told him what was going on, that this was the 5th time this has happened, & that I would be out of town until later that evening...but that he could go under the house to fix it like the other 5 guys have done, & that he did not need to go in my home. He responded in an annoyed manner. He gave me the run around for about 3 minutes & then finally sighed and said, "Well...I got 5 calls in front of you so I will try to get there." I thanked him very much for his time. Once I arrived home with family around 8:45pm, the toilet still hadn't been fixed. Not only did I find it disappointing that I wasn't communicated with, but I also pay too much to not have working utilities. I feel bad that you have to come out on a Saturday and fix it, but this is your job. I give my rental group the ok to let him come in my home while I would be gone for a few hours at a late family dinner. Brad texts me and says, "it's fixed." I said, ""Thank you for coming out so late. Please feel free to take a beer with you for the trouble." He responded, "Ha. No thanks. I don't drink. Have a good nite." I get home that evening a few hours later & notice the center piece to my bar cart, which was a bottle of $70 whiskey, is missing off of my bar cart. It was there before I left, as I had taken a photo of the bar cart to send to a friend to show her & thank her for the new glasses I had added to the cart. That next morning I texted Brad to ask if he had by chance been in my kitchen. He started typing and then stopped, then starting typing again 15 minutes later, replying, "Lol, no ma'am I was only in your home for all but a minute. I took my plunger in and plunged your toilet and took maybe 20sec. Like I told you last night when you offered me a beer that I don't drink! I value my job and my family way more than taking something from someones home!" Slick on him for saying he didn't drink the night before. I told him this wasn't a laughing matter, as theft is something I have dealt with plenty in the past. I communicated that I was going to move forward with police charges and if he had anything come to mind before the next day to let me know. He responds, "Ma'am I'm not laughing at this at all and im sorry if you took it that way. I understand your concern, how much did you say it costed? I don't drink so I have no need for it nor am I a thief. Are you sure no one else has been in there? (Yes.) I actually thought you were joking cause you'd asked me if I wanted to take a beer home last night and then your saying someone took your whiskey. What kind of whiskey was it and how much did it cost? I didn't have anyone with me so I know it wasn't me or anyone with me." I leave the conversation as is. A few hours later around 9:15pm that evening, I get a missed call from Brad. Unfortunately I was at a movie & couldn't answer. I left it at that & moved forward with contacting Gwyn the next day. I contacted Gwyn on Monday morning & left a message for the President. I unfortunately did not get a call back I call again Tuesday & get a response that afternoon that they are looking into it. I left a detailed message with the timeline of events, as well as a detailed email. I got a thank you from there & left it. I check in Wednesday & get a response from the Pres., "Thanks for the additional info; do you have any video footage ? It appears that you were not home when Brad arrived at your home. How did he gain access to your home? We're still investigating our phone and GPS records to get additional info." 1. I said in my lengthy email how he got in my home 2. I responded with a thank you & a question, "Are you saying that it might not have been Brad at my home, even though I have texts where he deliberately states he was there?" -- No response. I check in a few hours ago, still without a response, & w/o an apology, or even an offer for compensation, I get, "After discussing this at length with all parties involved, we do not believe Brad took the bottle of whisky as you accused. He has been a very reliable & honest employee for many years." So sickened at the lack of concern or care for their customers. Not only was your employee extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional to a customer, but he was the only one in my home during that time. read more

Avoid this clownshow. I paid $7000 for a heat pump, it's just over a year old and it never has worked right, had major repairs twice (and needs a third) and now, after two months of trying, they just blew off an appointment to try to repair my system, without even a phone call. read more

I love these friendly and so considerate people for getting a plumber to my house to fix a leaky (spraying water) pipe. They kindly rearranged their schedule even though I had had the main water already shut off to the street. Justin was very kind and had the job done in about ten minutes!!!!
