This review is for the Gymboree in Pine Brook, NJ My 10-month-old doesn't go to daycare, so finding a place where he can socialize, explore, and develop new skills has been really important to us. Gymboree in Pine Brook has been absolutely perfect. It's become a regular part of our routine, and it's made such a big difference in his movement and confidence. He gets so excited the moment we walk through the doors. It's truly his happy place. The instructors here are what make it so special. We've worked with every one of them, and they are all amazing in their own way. Ms. Geri: She has had such a big impact on my son's movement. She's incredibly thoughtful, caring, and observant, and she really takes the time to get to know each child and respect their autonomy. She's given us so many helpful tips and ideas to support his physical development, and I really believe her guidance has helped him get closer to walking and become more confident with movement in general. Ms Geri is so experienced with children and has given me much insight to my son and his ability to explore and learn about the world at his own pace. Also, as a side note, one day I desperately needed coffee (it was a loooong day) and Geri called a nearby business for me to see if they were open and sold coffee!!! It sounds small, but it's rare to find people who go out of their way like that for you. She genuinely cares and it shows. Ms. Kathleen: She has SUCH a beautiful voice!!! Even if you go for just one class, try to go to hers so that you and your little one can listen to her lovely singing. It instantly draws my son in, even though he usually takes a little while to warm up to new people. She's super engaging and fun, and somehow got him to start drumming along with us for the first time ever at his last class! It was such a sweet moment that I wasn't expecting. She has a really special way with children. Ms. Morgan: She was the first teacher we had at Gymboree, and after just one class with her, we signed up for the unlimited pass. That's how good she is! She brings so much energy and creativity to her lessons, and she keeps the kids excited and involved the whole time. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she made us feel right at home right away. I think that is all the instructors, but if not, then these are the ones that we have attended classes with. I honestly can't recommend this Gymboree location enough. If you're considering it, just try a class. you'll see right away how wonderful the staff is and how much your little one will get out of it. It's been such a great experience for our family. It's been a long time since I attended Gymboree, but I went to the music class with my granddaughter yesterday and was so impressed. The music teacher had such enthusiasm and spirit that everyone felt energized being in the class. And that the instructor was bilingual made some of the Spanish-speaking families Feil terrific. This gymboree location was a nice and clean facility with plenty of space for kiddies to roam around! My daughter isn't crawling yet so unfortunately we didn't get as much out of it. Once she is crawling I think this is a really worthwhile activity, especially for an indoor activity idea when it's cold out. The space has lots of great activities like slides, climbing walls, rocking toys and tunnels. A single session is $30 and you get 45 minutes of play time. I like that you don't need to commit to a package and can simply buy classes a la carte. The instructor was energetic and enthusiastic. The class ended with the signature gymboree parachute which was fun. You also take a few minutes during class to introduce yourself to the other families. The instructor warned us that it can be sensory overload if it's your child's first time and she was completely right! Our normally 'chill' child wasn't her usual self for the first part of class and was definitely a bit fussy and scared. Every kid is of course different, but worth noting that it's a lot of stimulation during a first time visit! Overall it's a fun play space and I'll certainly plan some future visits when my girl is a little more mobile. read more

We have only been going to Gymboree for the past month, but really impressed with how they run their business. The employees are all very caring and great at what they do. There is a structure and schedule to each class but at the same time it's very lax and it's okay if your kid is crawling over here (We go to the babies/crawlers class). It's very loose and accepting and all about having fun. Mr. Richard has a wonderful voice, Ms. Kat couldn't have been more caring and attentive to all and Ms. Geri is a sweetheart! Really is such a fun activity to do with your babies/children - especially when it's cold out but any time. They also host great parties for the kids on Valentine's Day and other fun holidays. You don't have to have a membership to attend, you can pay per class or for a party separately. So many options! read more

My grandson recently aged out of Gymboree and is so sad (as am I). He started in the program while an infant (see past review from way back when), continued into the school skills program, and during public school recess and summers continued to attend. Even during the height of COVID restrictions and limitations, he would participate whenever possible. He recently made one final visit and still had a blast! The facility remains clean and cheerful and the equipment change-over makes it feel modern. And Miss Geri still rocks it! Her energy is impressive and infectious and the kids soak it up! He continues to ask when he can go back! If you're looking for a program that meets kids' developmental needs and grows with them as they grow, please check out this Gymboree. I went with my daughter at 19 months to try a Gymboree class. She loved every minute and played with several new friends. She especially loved climbing on all the equipment and all the class activities. She loved Ms Geri's energy and kind demeanor. Ms Geri is attentive to all of the children.I would recommend Gymboree and Ms Geri to everyone looking for your child to thrive in a social setting. We recently started the infant class and couldn't be happier . we have always loved Gymboree classes and had attended with our older children as well . My kids enjoyed going however be careful with billing. I requested to suspend my account a few times and was told they would add the time to the back end of my membership. Although the time we were unable to attend amounted to well over 5 weeks, I was told I only had two weeks. I didn't bother going back. It's not cheap and was a real disappointment to be told that. I would not do business anymore there without paying as I went. I took their word for it and I was cheated thinking they were going to work with me on it. Response: Thank you for responding. Yes, I was unlimited however I was told several times it was only two weeks. It was clear it was only a courtesy at that point. No one was going to help us to refund our money or correct it. We no longer feel comfortable returning as we did not feel welcome after asking. read more

What a fabulous time my granddaughter had at the Gymboree in Pine brook. It was her first time there and she did not want to leave when the class was over. The teacher Miss Geri kept my granddaughter's interest with her high energy and enthusiasm. I found the facility to be very clean and stimulating. My family and I have had a great experience coming to Gymboree. My son has being going here since he was six months old and has learned so many physical and social skills through the classes offered. Overall the class offerings are flexible with lots of options throughout the week and the staff are all very friendly and clearly love working with kids. We ended up increasing our membership so that we could come more often. My son has learned a lot through his progressing classes and we have made great memories together as a family. This is a great place for your little ones to get some exercise, mingle with peers, explore and learn. My oldest daughter started when she was around 1 and stayed with Gymboree for a couple of years, and now my second one is loving it. We come in mostly on the weekend mornings to help her get the day started and it helps her with noon naps. Every month is a different theme, and the gym gets rearranged so that the kids can explore different climbing skills. The teachers are always pleasant and have great singing voices. We tried the music class, where children explore different instruments, sing, and dance. Towards the end of the class, it's bubble time followed by parachute time, both of which my daughter loves. At the close, all the kids get gymbo stamps on their hands. If you forget to come in on the normal days, you can always make it by coming in other days. They are very flexible. Sign up your kids before Feb 1 otherwise the monthly rate increases by $5. read more

I recently took my baby to the baby class. It was a free preview and wow.. Ms. Geri was incredible. I am a first time mom and she was so knowledgeable of activities to do with my baby at home. I decided to sign up for the class and for my first official class, I had Mr. Richard. He was different than Ms. Geri but just as amazing. His voice was so soothing for my baby. Our active 2 1/2 year old loves coming to this Gymboree!! The play space is super clean and safe and the staff are always welcoming and energetic. The classes are a must during the winter months. My daughter also loves the art projects offered and I love that she can make a mess there instead of at our house. We are looking forward to enrolling our newborn soon as well. read more

Gymboree is like our second home. I've been taking my daughter here for a year and we love it! It's helped her become a happy, outgoing, social child.
