Honestly, I'm shocked to see this place with anything less than 5 stars. Our experience here has been nothing but amazing. The coaches, front office staff and especially the owner are just fantastic. All coaches are different, with different styles and techniques. After each class the coaches come out and chat with the parents and if I've ever had a question or issue, I address them directly and every experience with that approach has been successful. Gymnastics is a different beast. This isn't soccer or flag football. This is an individual sport where precision counts. At some point, if your toes aren't pointed perfectly, that will be called out and worked on. This isn't to be taken personally, you either want your child to be able to take constructive criticism and work hard or quit, blame the coach and go play Roblox. read more

We were customers for two years. While the instruction wasn't as good as the previous gym, our child enjoyed the lessons. A few weeks ago we started noticing woke messaging on their "ad board". Anti ICE, anti American messages, woke DEI "privilege" statements. While I believe it's firmly anyone's right to hold their own political positions, it's frankly wrong to push this openly on students. Particularly children. We will no longer give money to a business who tries to indoctrinate children into a racist, anti-patriotic mindset. read more

Gymcats has been a great experience for our family! My 5 year old has been going here and absolutely loves it. The instructors are wonderful and make the classes so fun for the kids. Today my 2.5 year old had Logan as her instructor while he was filling in, and he was SO great with her. Toddlers can be a little unpredictable, but he was incredibly patient, encouraging, and really knew how to connect with the little ones. She had such a great time and was so happy during class. Huge shout out to Logan for being so wonderful with the toddlers! We're really happy to be part of Gymcats. read more

Will not be going back. My daughter was here for two terms, she is 2 years old. We loved our first instructor, she was amazing. But when my daughter turned 2 we had to go to a different person since she had to go to a different class and I don't even remember this lady's name but she was rude and awful. Had such high expectations from a 2 year old. We went for fun but then it became not so fun. This place just likes money tbh. It's not one of those places where you can view them as a family. We were going to use our two left over tokens for makeup classes, but then the lady on the phone said we can't use it unless we re-enroll. So basically that's two classes paid for we missed and now wasted. Keep your tokens, we will not be going back. Might be a fit for some other people out there but this is just our personal experience. My daughter did have fun when she didn't feel pressured by the coach. read more

Review #40 of 2023 Sunday May 7th visit 12:45 P.M. Birthday party ADA accesible parking at the entrance. This was a nice spot for a birthday party that we were invited to. There are waivers that one must sign in order to participate in the activities here. Staff is on point with leading the activities. What I didn't like and a point of improvement, is staff hovering over the childrens food and putting their hands in and on it. My kids stepped away from the table and one of the ladies that works there touched and picked up the chip bags to see if anything was in it. I'm not fond of anyone touching what my children eat that isn't in a food service capacity. With this being a gym, even less. It was the only thing I didn't like from this visit and we ended up tossing three bags of chips because of it. As a gym for kids activities, highly recommended. As a place to have children's birthday parties, skeptical and subject to your interpretation. read more

My daughter attended Gymcats for about 4.5 months and I've never seen her dislike a gym so much. Their philosophy is terrible and tries to fit every kid into a cookie cutter type style, which doesn't work. Gymnastics should be pretty custom to fit each kids needs because some kids, like my daughter, are there because this is their passion and some are there just for an extracurricular activity. I do appreciate that they shed light on the mental health side of the sport, however, that is their main focus so there is no critiquing your child's gymnastics. When you try to bring anything to their attention, whether it's you or the athlete you are told that it's not good for the gymnast and you're putting to much pressure on them. My daughter was literally asking for more and she was met with nothing. She actually REGRESSED so much at this gym. She was a level 4 half of last season at another gym, getting 9.5's and above and once we switched to this gym she was getting 9.3's and below. And I don't care about her scores, but she does. So when I brought this to Cassie's attention, she told me that we put to much pressure and importance on the scores and tried to get me to read a book about parenting a perfectionist. Everything I told her was met with an argument because Cassie is always right and will not hear you out. She will make you feel like a terrible parent if you try to shine any light on anything regarding your child's gymnastics. I'm sorry, but you run a business and your business should allow for some constructive criticism and bend somewhere because obviously your philosophy doesn't work. She'll send you about 5 to 6 emails a week, on how to better parent your child and about these seminars to attend that insinuate how crappy of parent you are. My daughter is a very happy/healthy kid and it's abaolutely crazy that the only time my kid wasnt happy, was when she was at gymcats. She'll also send emails about you, as a parent, instead of speaking to you like an adult. For example, at a competition my daughter told her coach that the beam was unstable/swaying back and forth when the girls were practicing on it. Instead of her coach asking the judges to switch beams, she told my daughter "I can't do anything about it" so me being concerned because they had a girl competing a back walkover on beam, I approached a judge to ask the protocol on this. The judge told me if they are still practicing on beam, they can switch but once they start competing on it, you have to stay on that beam. Well when my daughter brought this to her coaches attention they were still practicing on beam, they did not start competing on the beam until my conversation ended with the judge. So there was an opportunity to fix this and yet they did nothing. Word got around that I was the parent who approached a judge and Cassie's cult sent an email out to every parent at both their gym and Desert Gymcats that we as parents are not to approach a judge and it says in our handbook that we are not to and if this happens again we will be thrown out. Well I re-read our "handbook" and it doesn't say anything about us parents speaking to a judge, it says that we are to not contact a meet host which is an individual/gym who puts on a competition or meet. So I brought this to Cassie's attention and instead of her admitting fault, she asked if I knew if I was the only one who spoke to a judge that weekend and I said wouldn't it be a bad coincidence if you sent an email out right after I spoke with the judge? She followed up by saying "ehh semantics". Where's the safety and concern for the gymnasts competing?? So if the girl would've fell on beam, would she just follow up and say "ehh semantics"? She also cornered my daughter and told her things like "you are not confident", even after my child is telling them that they are confident and they are ready for harder skills/have proved themselves. They want them to stay stagnant and hold them back because it's good for their mental health but yet, they'll tell your kid they're not confident. How is that good for their mental health? There is absolutely no growth. Which from all their other review responses, they are "all about the kids". Yeah I'm sure they are when they put them down and then don't challenge them at all. They're basically a really expensive babysitter. And whats really sad, is they have so many girls that have potential but there is no push, no critiquing, no guidance when it comes to their coaching. Oh, and how could I forget. They also failed to remove my daughter from a competition that they had after we left the gym, so now my daughter has a "scratch" on her record. Of course I sent an email and never heard back. Best of all, for one of their Halloween dress up days, they had a political dress up day so you could wear blue or red. With their slogan saying "be batty in blue or rotten in red". Way to create division amongst your gymnasts. Politics should never involve our children. read more

I'm being extremely nice on this review because I really want to give 2 stars but my daughter did like her first gymnastics coach. She started gymnastics, enjoyed the coach but she felt like it was repetitive and wasn't growing so she started cheer. Her coach today kept riding her coattail about every little thing. I could tell my daughter felt embarrassed. It wasn't constructive criticism at all, I watched her face, heard her tone and she kept calling my daughter out. My daughter didn't do a cartwheel while everyone was because someone was walking by and she didn't want to run into them. The coach called her out again. I banged on the glass to get her attention to leave. The coach asked me if there was a problem. My daughter is 8, already a bit sensitive but really loves cheer. The coach seemed like she was unhappy and annoyed from the start. They don't even compete, it's for fun, zero need to single someone out 6 times. I called to switch her to a different class with a different instructor and the front desk didn't even apologize or ask for details. She was actually super annoyed. I wanted my son to try a class. They denied his free trial because he has autism. I'm not taking him to the special needs class. It's at 8 in the morning and he is still asleep at that time. Plus he goes to another gymnastics place that works with him and doesn't discriminate based on his autism. I just wanted to see what else was out there, especially a place that is not all girls. He will continue going to his current place, where at two he is already learning backwards rolls and can already do pull-ups and flips over the bars with minimal assistance. We have been coming here since my first daughter was six months old and we used to love it .love Mrs .Stacy when the pandemic happened I had another daughter we tried to come however they required two-year-olds to wear a mask so we opted out obviously my kids safety takes priority . Now masks are not required and my daughters are 1 almost 2 and 3 made an appointment to come in for cubs which is 3-4 and mini kittens at 11:50am on Wednesday. There was a stand in for Mrs . Stacy on mini and my baby was having so much fun I look over to the other side of the gym and my oldest didn't look like she was having a fun time Janece or janele not sure how to spell her name is the teacher for the cubs and man she has an attitude a smile to the toddlers she is teaching wouldn't kill her anyway I saw her grab my child about 2 times picked her up and looked like she hurt her sides but I thought I was seeing things then the 3rd time I looked closely and she grabbed my child by the arm really rough while on the trampoline to prevent her from going on it while a kid was on which I understand keeping safe but the way she grabbed her so hard it set her right down I had the mini kittens teacher watch my little one while I ran over my child was crying telling me she hurt her arm and I said I know I saw the whole thing . I went to front desk to file a formal complaint and the owner came out said would talk to her that she is not a bad person .Basically blowing me off . We will be attending a different gym class over the way this was handled. They were both so excited to start gymnastics again . Note : mommy and me great but if you leave your cubs at the mercy of the teachers make sure you keep an eye on them the entire time . read more

Paid for a birthday party here this summer. I do not think there was one employee there that day that was happy to be there. They were just not friendly at all. In fact, it felt like we were a burden on them. The person who was supposed to lead the children through activities at the gym looked like she had no idea what she was doing and it was more of a free-for-all in the gym which could be dangerous with children climbing over equipment. Parents HAD to come in to the gym to supervise. One employee in particular, olderish woman with short blonde hair, should be talked to to see if she is unhappy with her employment there. We do not recommend this place for parties. read more

This review is for the birthday party only. I had my child's birthday party here recently. About 20 kids, mostly 3 years old. I was confused and shouldve clarified: they said to have the kids arrive 15 minutes early. They also said we could arrive 15 minutes early to put up decorations. I took that to mean we all arrive 15 minutes early. But what I think they meant was that I could arrive 15 minutes before the guests (so 30 kinutes early). Also my fault for not clarifying more details when they said they would set up the room. I thought that if we dropped off balloons earlier in the day that they would decorate the room with them. We brought a bunch of mylar balloons earlier, but they stayed in the white bag from Party City until we got there and set them up. Not a big deal at all, just good to know. It was awkward setting up the balloons while guests wrre arriving. Hard to greet them and stuff. They staff had put out a plastic table cloth and basic plates, napkins, plastic cutlery and cups. They aren't pretty colors or birthday designs. In retrospect I would'vebrought my own cuter ones, but it'snot a big deal. . The hour in the gym was a perfect amount of time. The two employees were great out there. They did an activity with running around hula hoops first, then swinging on the rings, then people kind of scattered into doing their own thing for a while, which was good. At the end of the gym time, the birthday kid gets harnessed and flies above the trampoline. My kid loved it, but I can see other kids getting scared. Practice at Galleria Mall first to avoid that. When we moved into the party room, the two staff members that did the gymnastics stuff left, leaving 2 ladies at the fro t desk. The 45 minutes in the patty room was just a tad rushed for us. The front desk staff does not help once you're in the party room. Not with pouring kids drinks or anything. They provided lemonade in a big plastic pitcher. Kids did not like it. Luckily I brought Capri Suns and water too. We brought our own favor bags too, which was good. So that's about it. It was a good party. There is room for improvement, but overall it was fine. read more

My main concern is always customer service as I've worked in service industry for so long. Reading through reviews here I see a lot of complaints about how the leading team/owner treats the patrons. Not like they want business. I expressed concern over when the kids would be able to exercise without masks on. I was spoken to horribly by staff. They refused to connect me to speak to the owner. And then told me "if someone's kid dies of covid who will they blame?" Insane. It's called a liability waiver for leaving your house during covid. If you're outside a bubble there's inherent risks in life, also since when can you pinpoint a business to blame for covid deaths? Anyway my daughter was excelling very slowly they were not challenging her at all. We heard of Dance Addiction where kids her age are far ahead in gymnastics and they don't force masks on ANYONE or force vax on staff. Maybe if enough people leave this gym they could get a grip on the ego and speak to adults properly again. There's another big gym by the mall. Don't think this is the only option you have. I want to like this place too. Very sad. read more

We love GymCats! My son has been going from age 4- now 7. My younger son wanted to try so we put him in 2also and it's been about 2 terms. We've experienced many different coaches over the years and they have all been so wonderful. They truly treat your children like they belong and are accepted no matter their skill, if they are scared to try new skills the coaches really encourage but don't force. Whether it's just something fun for your kids to do to stay active and make friends (like my 5 year old) or something that they really want to progress and move up to competition (like my 7 year old) there is something for everyone. All of the parents' night outs, bars/tumbling workshops, and extras that they host are great! They are very clean, very Covid conscious, and considering that children you get than 12 can't get vaccinated yet, I am SO THRILLED that they require masks for all kids over 2. Makes me feel very safe sending my two little ones there. It's completely worth the money, and from my experience it's one of the less expensive kids' extracurricular that exist! read more

Once the mask mandate was lifted for the kids we went back. My daughter loves it here and loves her coach. She has also excelled at her gymnastics moves in a short time. The app makes it so easy to do make ups. Keep in mind if you enroll in auto payments they do come out about every 4 weeks for an 8 week term, so it seems you're paying monthly so just budget it the best you can and you should be fine. read more

This is the only gymnastics studio in town with a competitive program for boys! This was a game changer for me, because whether or not we end up doing it competitively, I wanted my son to be in an environment where he can see older boys doing amazing gymnastics alongside girls and have the opportunity to do it competitively someday if he's inclined. The facility is huge, with all of the accoutrements for girls and boys of all ages to learn gymnastics. There are many class day and time options, and the instruction is top notch. I couldn't have found a better place for my two year old to have a lot of fun running, rolling, jumping, swinging, and tumbling. read more

My daughter has been going to Gymcats for 6 years. She is ten. To put it plainly, this place is all about about the money. Very few of the people who work there even know who we are. She attends classes every week, unless we are not in town. I was talking to one of the front desk workers the other day and she turned her face away from me and ignored me mid-sentence. There were other workers who charged me $360, do not worry, I got helped lol! Apparently, my daughter was going to lose her spot and days in which she participates in the program, because we are going on vacations this summer. In the past, they held our spot or let us pay a prorated rate depending on when we would be in town during the summer. The summers in the past were a great time for students to get more attention and improve their skills, because many families are out of town and classes are small. They have done away with this practice, it does not increase profits. Instead, they are focused on keeping the classes at the maximum level around 10, depending on your level. From my prospective, they have changed their summer program to make their jobs easier, of course increase profits, and lastly because they can. Take it or leave it, they have plenty to replace you. There are plenty of new people to take her place, because of the growth of Vegas. This is a business which can do whatever it wants, because they have little competition and a great facility. If we leave the program, they do not care and why would they. read more

This is an amazing place to bring your children, my daughter is 2 years old and gets excited for class each week. The class theme and activities change each week, it's so good for the toddlers to be challenged in different ways. This place is fabulous. I have been for a few birthday parties and now my 7-year-old daughter is enrolled in the Girls Red level. I like how they move kids up when they have completed the appropriate skills and not when the 8-week term is over. I am a working mom and the schedule works well since they have evening and weekend classes. They also have a good make-up policy for missed classes as long as there is space. So far I have not had a problem with this. I feel that my daughter has learned a lot in a short period of time and she is very interested in what is to come. Came in last week and the front staff was very attentive and answered all my questions. Today is our daughters 1st day and we are able to watch every moment in a room so that parents don't distract them while they learn. For the supercubs class it cost $159 for 1 day a week for 8 weeks. More for 2 and 3 days a week. Yes its pricey but she really wants to do this so it is a sacrafice we will make. read more

I recently had a birthday party here for my son and Alli and her staff are outstanding! I walked in the party was all set up for me with such detail down to the free birthday shirt to match the party decor I dropped off! I literally didn't have to do anything but enjoy my sons birthday party. They are so accommodating, friendly and helpful! Coach Victoria did the gym part and she was outstanding with the kids. Coach Lisa was also helping out with anything I needed or the kids needed during the room party part. When you have a party at Gymcats the gym is private to only your party and coach for the time in there then you get time in the party room for cake and stuff. It was the best party and all due to Alli and her staff! This place rocks for birthday parties and I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to book their party there. Awful!! Run!! Crowded and overpriced! My daughter is 5 and spent the first 20 mins of class riding a roller coaster toy that we donated when she was 3 cause she was too big for it. Just a giant waste of time. I o ow she is young but come on. I asked the front desk and they just shrugged and said that is an advanced class already. Been on the hunt for a new activity for my 3 year old and after comparing multiple establishments in the area, we decided to give gymcats a try. Initial sign up was great. I was a walk in, just inquiring about classes and what not, and the women at the front desk sold me. All super kind! I actually ended up signing both my 1 and 3 year old for a trial class. (1 year old didn't care for it.) We went with the 11:50 on Wednesdays (Cubs). When I tell you I almost walked into that gym floor for how the instructor was handling my daughter! Yanking and pulling her by her arm, putting her finger in her face crazy, rolling her eyes! I was livid! It was my daughter's FIRST class, let alone her FIRST real activity aside from going to playgrounds! When the class was over, I asked the instructor (Miss Janessa I believe) how'd she do & supposedly my daughter was telling her "Yes" to her when she asked if she's done gymnastics before and if she's done the specific technique before. (Which she hasn't.) While I do believe her because that's something my daughter will do, that's not an excuse to grab on a child that's entrusted 100% in your care and not the least bit related to you! Additionally, this instructor continued on and pretty much suggested I sign her up for a different class because she has her hands full with the kids she currently with and even pointed out (literally pointed at him in front of his mom) a little boy whom she explained is extremely difficult. (Mind you, my daughter wasn't being disruptive or not listening, she just was doing all the techniques wrong. SHE'S THREE.) Anyways, despite it all, my daughter said she had fun so I enrolled and paid for the season but I switched her to a different class with a different instructor. (Miss Mika is great!) However, the following week the day before her next & new class (yesterday), I asked her if she's excited to go. My 3 year old tells me "No teacher is mean" while I'm on the phone with my mom (her grandma). Of course this gets the attention of my mom and I fill her in & she hung up on me to call the business. My mom handled the situation the way I should've and got everything taken care of (supposedly) with that instructor. She was told the owner would be notified and my daughters account was noted. Not sure what that means but today, my daughter had the best experience. She was so happy during her class and after, Miss Mika was so kind and patient, I couldn't be more impressed. That's why I decided to give 4/5 stars because one bad apple shouldn't ruin the bunch. read more

Place condones bullying, we witnessed some stuff and told the mom what we heard and saw when the lady went to talk to the coaches all of a sudden there was yelling and profanity and the lady left angry, all I heard was the owner yelling over the lady that threats weren't bullying which was really concerning, wife and I will be taking our child out of their facility as we now don't feel safe reporting bullying as we will get yelled at and blamed. read more

Gymcats is great for kids of all ages! This is a great program for boys and girls. I have found in other states gymnastics was just for girls but, not here. That being said, my six and three year old love coming here! My six year old son said he loves getting stronger and being flexible. Their parent night out and special events are super cool and relatively inexpensive! All the teachers are super nice. read more

The 30 min class was very active, went over light skills matching hands and feet to cut outs on the floor. But for my one year old she wasn't interested. My daughter loves this place! The instructors are great and very patient with the smaller kids. The exercises and drills they do help their coordination, agility, strength & even fun stuff is incorporated to keep their full attention (ie. Bubbles, hokey pokey, etc). The only negative, and it's a big one, is when they hold camp with massive amounts of kids at the same time as paid classes. There are a ton of kids and only a few camp instructors. These kids run around everywhere & interrupt instruction of the actual classes going on. My daughter and the other kids were distracted & lost interest pretty quickly in class because the instructor was so busy reprimanding the other kids in the camp for disrupting & encroaching on their instruction. It was ridiculous. There were several big lulls during the class when the instructor had to address the camp kids. I think from now on when there's camp at the same time, we will skip and just make the day up, so we are getting our money's worth at least. read more
