I've taken their adult class this passing Monday. I still had acrobat knowledge from my youth, (front walkovers, back walkovers, back handsprings). But they teach old farts my age who start from scratch on Monday night. The class ranged from very good, to totally crap. Either way, it's a brilliant workout and I had a blast! Tho I did have a mishap. In a spot for my first back handspring in 10 years, my leg came around and kicked the trainer right in the nose. She took it like a champ! I felt horrible, and she stood up with a smile. Don't know how... cause I know that hurt! This is a competitive gym, so if you take your child here early, in a few years she/he can be competeting. There is one specific event i remember where i took an extreme hard fall off the highest beam. I ended up completly brush burned and bruised down my whole left side. My coach didnt care and told me I was just in "shock". This was the moment I began to regress and literally no coach cared about me anymore. I quit a year later. I still think I wouldn't have quit if it weren't for this moment where no one showed me any kind of compassion. I'm 16 now and some things coaches have said still stick in my mind. I still practice a little gymnast but independently, never again will i go back.

It is good if you want to pay for your kids to run around having fun. There has to be an inside…read moreplayground type venue that is cheaper. I find the instruction to be minimal. The instructors demonstrate a new skill/task once and often fail to observe the child when attempting to duplicate task because there are more children than the assigned instructor can adequately supervised. Hence, many of the children never achieve the correct form. Moreover, the instructors lack enthusiasm that I think is essential to stimulating young children. Furthermore, there are no articulated outcomes and when I inquired of the same I was rebuffed with agitation. The financial obligation is not worth the 'playground' atmosphere. My goal is to expose my children to a variety of experiences in an attempt to identify their interest before concentrating on one/two particular interest. Although I do not expect my children to become Olympians, but I do expect structure, proper instruction and identifiable outcomes. To that end, if you are okay with paying for your child(ren) to spend an hour at an indoor playground then Gymkhana is the place for you and your little ones!
