You can enter the…read moreshopping center from several directions, such as from Kempsville Rd, Indian River Rd, and Kempsriver Dr. The road within the shopping center is Fordham Dr. My visit here was on September 14, 2025. The reason for the visit here that day was to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Many of his friends were there too. The storefront for the business is similar to how many other places are, but you can definitely see the big Ninja Warrior sign across the windows on the outside. After coming inside, there was a table area for everyone to sit. However, at that time, it was playtime for the kids. They were running through an obstacle course to try and beat their prior timed attempts. They were at this for quite a while, and it was fun to watch them try, especially after doing it awhile as you could tell they were getting tired out. I'd call that part mission accomplished. Once the obstacle course time was done, everyone came back to the table to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The staff were getting the next event set up during that time. Everyone had a great time with the cake. The second part of the play here involved the kids vs. adults. The lights were turned off, and it was basically like a Nerf War between them. I didn't do that part of it, but I did watch it all unfold. The kids were very quick to get the adults. There are several hiding areas to avoid getting caught or to sneak attack with the Nerf gun. There were also some mini snowballs you could throw around too. Once that part was done and the lights were back on, you could see everyone was tired out. Overall, this was a great place to have a birthday party. The staff were welcoming, and they were patient with the kids too. The atmosphere in here was tuned to the level of fun. They also have weekly summer camps and other offerings as well. There seems to be something for everyone here. If you are looking for a place to go for a birthday party or some other type of event, be sure to check this place out.

I really appreciate the coach's responses to the kids and ability to create respect in the gym/dojo as well as make it really fun for them. I mean, giant inflatable slides, rope swings, balance beams- what's there not to love?! The prices are also affordable, including a free first month right now. Really thankful we heard about this place.

They helped inspire many of us with the existing clay art around us. There were so many tools to choose from too. The instructors were really helpful and nice. They helped my daughter build her creation. We got so much clay that we were able to build 2-5 creations. They offered a variety of free drinks while we create. It was just so much fun. We had to return another to glaze our art which was at our flexibility. There were so many glazes to choose from too. Then after our art pieces were glazed, we picked up our art all packaged up safely. This place is perfectly located in a nice shopping center. With easy parking. It clean for an art studio. There were so many tools available. The staff are very knowledgeable. It's also decorated very cute inside. My daughter and I can't wait to return. They offer camps, classes, parent drop off nights, memberships, walk-ins and more.

So I clarified if they were open for walkins, and she said yes. I asked her again to clarify that I couldn't reserve a two hour party from 10 to 12 because of a party they were having at night and she said yes. I'm really not sure why she didn't want to do a small party from 10 to 12 when she was going to be open at 12 for walkins.

What a well done museum in an unexpected place!! We were looking for a day trip from our home in…read moreNorfolk and saw this one on TripAdvisor. Since it is only about 20 miles from the bridge tunnel up the shore (one of my favorite places on earth!), we decided to check it out. SO glad we did! And since admission is free, it made the bridge tunnel toll worth it! When you walk in you are greeted by the most friendly docent who gives you a brief background of the museum and what it's about. She told us they have several films and asked if we wanted to watch any of them. We did - "Our Island Home" gives you a terrific view of what life on Hog Island was like before it was abandoned from people who were actually born there. After whatever movie(s) you want to watch, you are "free range" to explore the museum. It is SO well done. I could have roamed around for longer than the 2 hours we were there (but I'm a museum reader - I have to check out everything!). Definitely allow yourself a couple of hours to explore. The exhibits are fantastic and laid out well. All artifacts were donated or on loan from actual island families - they don't purchase their artifacts. I like that. Shows the love for the community that these people have. Definitely check out the attic! There are hands on things for the kids - it's hot up there in the summer though! I was fascinated by the twisted chimney (not going to tell you why it was built that way - you'll have to go find out for yourself!). This is a GREAT little stop if you are looking for something cool to do on your way up or down Rt. 13 on your way to your vacation or a great day trip from the VA Beach area. With all their many activities and programs, we will definitely be back!

Ms. Margaryta is wonderful at making gymnastics fun and also at teaching kids to be hard-working and to face challenges. The classes with Mrs. Margaryta were intense in a way ... no talking .... pay attention... sleeping beauties.... hurry up.....but I grew up in similar environment around sports so I gave it a try for my daughter. I noticed though my daughter enjoyed way more classes with Margaryta's husband as sometimes he substituted for her. He was making it more fun. Kids overall had more fun with him during class. My daughter is a hardworking little girl. She listens and tries her best. But she is also sensitive to being pushed too hard because she gets frustrated with herself. It was over for me when she cried during a class over one exercise and on top of things she was sent again in the end of the class to work on the same exercise by herself! It was nice when her husband stepped in and helped her but we never went back after that. I feel like working with the kids you should be able recognize when the child is pushed too far. They are only 6 yo and it all should be combine with a little fun so they want to go back. She didn't and I have a hard time talking her into a new place . We moved and finally she will give it a try. Fingers crossed this time she will have an awesome experience. To the response : I understand my daughter sometimes needs some pushing but I don't agree with leaving her alone crying on the mat doing her best.
