This shop is a hoot! I love its kooky vibe and their funky wares of all kinds, from art to clothing to silly tchotchkes and everything in between. And yet very cohesive. Prices are very good for this well curated shop. I would give it 5 stars but I drove quite a ways to go to this store and it was closed during the hours posted on Yelp (it was after 12:00 noon and they supposedly open at 11 AM) and there was no sign saying "be back at XX o'clock" which would have been appreciated. A waste of gas when it's rather expensive these days. read more

Finally made it in here after living in Palm Springs for over five years. I thought they had a really great selection of pottery and unusual home decor, jewelry and of course vintage clothing and accessories. I went in with a mission to find a unique red accessory for Valentine's Day. I found a red silk scarf for $4! I also picked up a beaded bangle bracelet for $12. I was pressed for time and didn't quite dig in to all they had to offer. The owner of the shop was really friendly and she was extremely helpful. It was a nice shopping experience. What a fun store! I am always up for vintage shopping and since I am furnishing a new home at the moment this was a great stop for inspiration. Service is wonderful, they have a good variety of vintage and antique from all eras. Prices are fair, considering that most of these items are very hard to find. The condition varies, but you will definitely find something unique. Worth checking out if you are in Palm Springs! read more

I wrote a review about them several years back when they were in Desert Hot Springs...now they're in Palm Springs, still with the same incredible eye and collection of mind blowingly fantastic stuff! We bought a gorgeous mid century cabinet a while back, with huge heraldic style openers on the front. I just love it and feel happy every time I see it. The owners of Gypsyland, Wendy and Stephanie, are wonderful people, who have carried on the tradition of unearthing beautiful treasures after the tragic loss of Zach, Wendy's son and Stephanie's brother, in a car accident. Zach was their partner in the store, and his spirit is ever present in the amazing collection of treasures they always carry. we drove by during our vacation in palm springs and decided to stop by. very cute store and relatively big. great prices for jewelry and vintage clothing/accessories. art prices were very reasonable and respectable. its amazing to even be in there; the old-timey music, different types of artwork on every wall, and the owner was very kind. my mom ended up buying a 45 record for $5 from 1985 and i got a plain necklace with a single little white jewel for $2. awesome place!! read more

Spent a full day shopping in Palm Springs, and Gyspyland was my favorite stop by far!!! I found two incredible dresses, both in great condition and super unique. I got a batik sundress and a 60s mod dresses. I got some amazing neon hoop earrings too. The owner was lovely - not pushy at all, but excited with me for the finds I made. I don't care what you have to do to get there....but do not miss Gypsyland. I spent the last week hitting most (all?) of the vintage/retro shops in Palm Springs. Lots are great....but only Gypsyland has it all! From the iconic pink poodle sitting out front on the chairs, you know you're somewhere unique. Been passing this for a long time...so glad I finally stopped in...and wish I had done so earlier. It's three times the size I assumed it was. Great selection of furniture, vintage clothes, and retro home furnishings. And the prices are BY FAR the best in Palm Springs. Even with the games some of the others play (with "50% off everything clearance" sales), the regular prices here are unbeatable! I found the greatest vintage 70's shirt. There was a slight imperfection but I decided it was still definitely worth the price. When I went to pay, in conversation I mentioned the imperfection. I wasn't seeking anything - merely saying how I was so in love with it I just had to have it...even realizing it wasn't perfect. On the spot, the owner took off 1/3 of the price! She was so gracious, kind, and I could have sat there for a lot longer talking with her! Extensive, diverse selection, friendly & knowledgeable owner, and the best prices I've seen anywhere.
