Certain pieces in the racks of "too much print and color" were quite pretty, but having so much stuffed into the shop was a mistake. It made reviewing the pieces difficult, and gave an overall sense of gauche to the room. Service was non-existent during my time in the store, and the price was laughable. One piece in particular, a super cute wooden bracelet, reminded me of something my grandmother owned in the 80's and had purchased at a garage sale. Nothing I would ever pay $38 for, ever. I wouldn't return to Frippery.

The value for clothing is pretty fair as the quality is very high. The service is chill, campy and caring. I'd pass by here more times than I can count, but never been inside. A few things caught my eye and in my size, but were a little warm for the summer time. The guys in the hub/center of the store were helpful and even gave my friend Cliff a nice happy birthday when they asked what brought us to PS during the extreme heat season. I had actually been here last Summer and remembered them having a selection of large unique modernist pottery planters in bright earthy colors. Sure enough, I was in luck. The owner of the import shop had even more of these big handmade ceramic flowerpots than last time. He travels to Morocco and finds hand-woven rugs, vintage textiles, luxury leather bags and Mid-Eastern antique brass objects and figures. Importing only the finest exotic antiques and contemporary gift items back to Palm Springs. It is different from the Asian antique rug and carpet stores in Cathedral City, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage in that he brings in such a variety of home furnishings and home décor, not just carpeting. His store shelves are full of really cool objects. I liked speaking with the owner and learning more about him and his store. He is very nice and truly interested in his business and in his customers. I found everything I needed. I would recommend stopping here to check it out.

A gem of a store on Piedmont Avenue, Pimlico Place offers something for everyone. While she is known for her wonderful costume jewelry, the owner also specializes in one of a kind antiques and collectibles for the home as well. Visiting the store during the holidays is a special treat because both stores are filled with beautiful and unusual ornaments. The owner knows most of her customers by name and it is clear that the work is a labor of love. A highlight of East Bay shopping and a must-see. read more
