If you're ever in Palm Springs, you have to stop by Melody Note Vintage!! I went during Coachella weekend and had one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had. The selection is seriously unmatched, with so many unique pieces, including designer finds and vintage Levis at prices that felt like an absolute steal. The shopkeeper was incredible. She went above and beyond, helping style looks, bringing pieces over, and giving me the full VIP treatment. On top of that, everything in the store was clean, fresh, and beautifully curated. The real reason this place stands out is what happened after I left. I realized I had lost my very expensive Meta sunglasses and was so upset because we searched everywhere and could not find them. Later that week, the shop owner reached out to me on Instagram to let me know she had found them and even offered to mail them back to me. That level of care is rare. Truly one of the best vintage shops I have ever been to. I will be coming back every time I am in Palm Springs. read more

Super cute store They have side parking which is nice, the prices are a little in the higher side but the cater to vintage items. They also don't have a good size selection. Mostly everything will be size 10 or lower. But the quality of the items are amazing. If you are looking for some really cute vintage style clothes this is where you want to go. 1 star - Cool shop, but the ego killed the vibe Walked in with my wife, excited to browse -- we love vintage and have been collecting for years. No hello, no welcome, just silence. Whatever, we brushed it off and kept looking around. Then comes the older woman running the place, clearly dying to let us know she's the smartest person in the room. She starts spouting off info like we're clueless, but most of what she said was either outdated or just flat-out wrong. We kept it respectful, but it was hard not to laugh. Just because you were alive when something was made doesn't mean you know anything about it. She talked over us, never once asked what we were looking for, and made the whole experience weird and uncomfortable. We had money to spend, but we left instead. If you like being condescended to while vintage shopping, this is your place. Otherwise, there are way better shops with people who actually know vintage and don't need to prove it every five seconds. read more

I had one foot in the door of the store when a manager or the owner said "there are too many people here, you need to leave!" In the most disrespectful, inappropriate way. Then, she proceeded to tell us to "go shop somewhere else because this isn't the only vintage shop!" "Go shopping down the road, there are other shops!" It is extremely hard to find good vintage stores these days, mostly because brick and mortar stores have disappeared on are now online. Thank god there is a place in Palms Springs to go to when I visit. Meghan, the owner, knows VINTAGE! There is something for everyone there! I picked up a bunch of vintage jewelry for myself and a cool vintage bowling shirt for my man! She will never pressure you for a sale, if an item doesn't look good on you she'll let you know. One of the really special things about buying vintage is the history that comes along with an item and the story it tells. But often I find myself flipping thru a rack wishing I had more of an understanding of what I was looking at. Enter Meghan, the owner of Melody Note. She's been collecting vintage for ages, and you can tell how much she loves it. She is so knowledgeable about the clothing, and can spin you a yarn about where it came from, why certain items were made a certain way etc. She also has a magic eye, so tell her what you are looking for and let her dress you! The store has obviously been stocked very lovingly and has so many great finds, esp a great selection of Levi's. And it's an easy detour off the 10 on my way to the high desert. You can tell a lot of time and effort has been taken to find the perfect items. The owner is great at helping you navigate through if you're not sure what you want or how sizing for certain items work. It is so nice to see a vintage clothing store in Palm Springs with REASONABLE PRICES! The selection is great and the owner, Meghan, is extremely knowledgeable of vintage clothing. Went in on a whim and walked out with a Hawaiian shirt that looks great on me! A lot of stores are self service, but the owner believes in giving great service and honest feedback. I watched her help a women find a pair of vintage jeans and she must have tried on 5-10 pair before she found a fit she liked. It's like getting Nordstrom's service in a vintage store which is a nice touch. The men's selection is smaller than the women's, but reflects a good selection of vintage shirts, shorts, suits and some pants plus jeans. I did not see any reproductions, which is nice these days. I'm not a person who leaves a lot of Yelp reviews but after my experience at Melody Note today, I was compelled to let the world know what a wonderful vintage shop this is! The owner is so nice and personable. She made me feel comfortable and safe (masks on!) right away. She sanitized the dressing room for me and we were the only ones in the shop. She told me that one of her talents is fitting customers into jeans and she picked me out the perfect size and cut on the first try. I also got a really beautiful prairie dress, blouse, and belt. I could have shopped so much more but with COVID I try to keep my in person visits really short. The selection is INCREDIBLE. So beautifully curated and a lot of different era / options.
