Jennifer! She is the absolute BEST and deserves to be promoted or a raise at the minimum! I called and had questions about my children's instruments and she took the time to look up our file and suggest my daughter come up a size to a bigger viola. We had the time to stop by this evening and not only was the shop extremely busy but she was the only person working the counters and answering questions and more! We didn't mind waiting as she did a phenomenal job checking in with us and helping out other customers. She was a great multi-tasker and ALWAYS super friendly and patient with the customers. She could have acted overwhelmed, annoyed and agitated but she did not, she was kind, patient, courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. She laughed at my terrible mom jokes even. She will educate you on everything you need for your instruments and to set your children up for success. She is honest and will not upsell you on anything always providing the best information and she took the time to make sure my daughter had the correct size viola and the extras she needed. Location is convenient. For the most part of my drop ins have been good. They get things done quickly. Make sure you get insurance for your instrument. It will be worth it when something breaks! read more

I'm rating them 3 stars because I don't want to hurt them too badly when I've only had one interaction with them. I brought them my cello for a very simple repair (righting a loose sound post) and they called me an hour or so later saying that the make of my cello was inferior and they would not assume that liability. Sounds reasonable, right? (The guy wasn't exactly friendly about it, but hey, that's not the story). I took it over to Lisle Violin Shop, and they fixed the cello in 15 minutes. They also waived the labor fee for the sound post when I bought strings from them. Stay wise, folks. read more

I took my instrument back here in November to get some work done on it since it was broken, their tech did not touch my instrument for 4 WEEKS and would complain to me every time when I would call asking for an update. I eventually lost it and took my instrument to Music and Arts, and guess what? They got in done within 24 HOURS!!! This is why I prefer music and arts over H and H, another good thing about music and arts is that their reeds are cheaper. read more
