I haven't visited this plant nursery in over a year because the last time I was there I didn't find what I was looking for as the selection was primarily annuals. I was pleasantly surprised at the expanded selection of plants to include baby palms, evergreen plants and perennials. I was able to purchase 2 different types of pollinating/nectar plants as well as purple fountain grass. I usually purchase plants and trees from C & C nursery down the road but they are having difficulty stocking what I'm interested in. The prices I paid are the same as C & C for the ones I purchased. Please continue to offer a wide variety of plants and expand to include hardy ornaments such as grasses, agave, yucca and bromeliads. I will definitely return to check their stock after getting these plants in the ground. Please, Please, Please post plant information cards with prices at each plant grouping. read more

I was very pleased with my experience at this nursery and was worth the drive from Sarasota. I found there to be a decent selection of plants and they had everything on my list: confederate jasmine, society garlic, purslane, moss roses, and cacti. What was even better was the prices. The plants are about half the price of any other place I've been and you can leave here feeling like you bought quality plants at a reasonable price. I will be returning and I also told my neighbors about this place and they will be making a visit soon too. Customer service was good and I found them to be knowledgeable about the different plants they sell. Decent amount of plants starting at $1.50 so literally something for everyone here. read more

This nursery is awesome. Great flowers that established quickly in my garden and maintained healthy and blooming beautifully. The lady working there as well as the owner, were so very nice and accommodating to me as the first time I was there. Terrific nursery! They accept credit cards also. H&H is an excellent stop for anyone that's tired of paying the high overhead of the more trendy and closer nurseries. The owners are helpful and their selection is excellent. The layout of the nursery is easy to navigate with the lowest prices starting on the East side and increasing as you move to the West. H and H is wonderful. They offer plants that will thrive in the Florida climate and for the specific time of year. I have frequented H and H for more than 10 years. Their plants transfer extremely well from their nursery pots to my garden. With consist watering the plants thrive and grow beautifully. I have asked the staff if this plant or that plant will thrive where I intend to plant it. Their response has been very knowledgeable and honest. For example the plant I asked about likes full sun but it will require a lot of water. Or that plant once established will tolerate drought. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend. read more

Heard great things about this place. Poor selection of flowers. Great prices however for the few you can find. One of the workers (owners I'm assuming-female) condescendingly laughed at me and told me how I was going to kill the flowers I was purchasing within a week. I asked her why she thought this and she went on to tell me how I clearly know nothing about planting flowers. She was right I didn't know much about planting, but I did my research for weeks before buying. However, she was wrong about me killing them. Also they are beautiful surprisingly. Great prices, informative employees and 1/2 of what you will pay at Lowe's or Home Depot. the best deals are on the smallest plants of course, but in Florida things grow so fast and even fully mature plants/trees are a great deal. My sister took me here and even with her guidance it was a little overwhelming, but the staff is really super. Since moving to the Parrish area, my husband and I have been loyal customers of H & H nursery on Rt 64 in Bradenton even though the inventory and selection at times has been frustrating. Their prices have always been good. We visited the nursery on Wed, 1/6/2021, this week and I was appalled at the complete lack of Covid safety protocol by the staff. My husband and I had some questions and no staff member was wearing masks even though they were speaking with us. All other customers at the nursery were wearing masks. This is inexcusable during this time when Covid cases are spiking in this FL area. We decided to stop at another nursery in Bradenton called Mariposa Nursery on Lorraine Rd on our way home. All staff members outdoors assisting customers where all wearing masks and not standing too close while speaking with us. Why H & H Nursery staff has chosen to be so careless is unbelievable and I will NOT be returning to their business. read more
