the manager has very poor business sense. I subscribe to their news webpage first of all. I went shopping on a Sunday bc that was only time I could shop n purchased well over $1350.00. I asked up at register if they were going to run any kind of sale on Talaverda the glazed ceramic pottery and I had purchased 6 pieces she said NO. I COME HOME n minute my phone dings w their sale starting that very next day 20 percent off the pottery. I was unhappy n called n the bitch attitude manager only gave me 20 percent off 2 out of the 6 items. she was super NASTY on the phone like she had stock in the company or something. tried emailing n calling n nothing. I will never shop there again n I will post on FB to warn others that the store is a NON FRIENDLY STORE n doesn't appreciate its customers! read more

This is a wonderful garden and gardening supply store. They have a beautiful array of quality plants from baskets in bloom, to succulents, bonsai trees, and fruit trees. They also have a range of pots and other supplies. There is parking directly in front of the store. They accept cash and credit cards. Lots of people working there who are happy to answer any questions. They are definitely on the more expensive end of the spectrum, but they are of a high quality. read more

Well, Well well. Earlier this year I gave this business a 10 of 10 review. Not anymore. Here is what happened. After spending thousands there earlier this year, I went in last week To find a wind spinner for my yard. I found it. Beautiful. A bit expensive at $200. I took the post apart and set the top half on top rack of cart and the longer stake was placed through the bottom. As I'm Walking through the back looking for a plant, the light (about a 4" round globe fell off and shattered on the concrete. I waited for someone to clean up the broken glass then headed back inside. All of a sudden, I was being treated like a criminal. I went around looking to see if they had another one. The entire time I was being followed by the guys that are supposed to help lift plants when needed. I get to the register and ask Kim, the cashier if they had any more and if they could get another light for the top. She said No to Both questions. I continue to walk around looking for something else To fill the spot. I headed back to the register. Kim said she was on the phone with the owner. She told me I needed to pay for the item. I was shocked. Kim stated, it was in your possession and she said I broke it. Therefore I must pay for it. I didn't break it, it fell apart. Obviously, not put together correctly. Kim then said if I won't pay for it, they will have to say Goodbye to me and that I was no longer allowed in their store. Needless to say, I was dumbfounded. I left the store. I've read other reviews Where they have apologized to customers and stated they we're sorry and that is NOT how they treat customers. That's a lie. They are rude, aggressive and try to sell merchandise that is not properly connected. This is NOT how to run a business. They probably spent $50 on this item. I was willing to pay their inflated price because the store is convenient for me So remember, if you shop there, once you place an item in your cart, it's in your possession. In 2021, I purchased 5, fast growing shrubs because I wanted them to grow up to shield my car from the sun in my carport. After all of my love and care, (and $$$) only one of them grew up, the others, not so much. I finally sent a picture of all of them to the store and in about a week or so, they got back to me with an "oops - looks like we sold you different varieties of the one you wanted - sorry!" Next thing I knew, they sent the same man who planted them FOUR YEARS AGO and he replaced 4 of the 5 with much larger ones and everyone seems happy together already. I know I am!! I have lived in Sarasota for 30 years and always forgot this place existed! I visited this weekend and was in awe of just how much stuff they have here. Anything and everything you could ever want! Plants, garden decor, outdoor living furniture, gardening supplies, soils, fertilizers, pottery, birdbaths, etc. Depending on your level of interest, you could really spend hours here! My ONLY complaint is that some of the items are priced rather high for what they are. Some of the items are priced reasonably and are a great deal for the convenience and selection but some items are priced a little absurdly. I ended up leaving with a nice selection of plants, a few plant pots, and a bird bath! I will be back for sure! read more

We stopped in for the first time and were happy we did. Even though they were getting ready to close no one ever pressured us to head towards the door. All the vegetable and herb plants were in great shape. There is a great variety of other plants, trees and other gardening items for both indoor and outdoor gardening. I am disappointed that Farm & Garden are not really following Covid precautions with their staff and customers despite the statement on their website. Some staff without masks, other below their chin or not covering nose, and a casual attitude when I mentioned this. Many customers without masks when they arrive and never wear; some remove outdoors even if not safely distancing. I will not return for many months. read more
