Heather watched over our kitten, Leo, for a few days this last week. Our experience with her was phenomenal, and we will certainly use her services in the future! Heather is very particular about drop-offs and pick-ups. This is for a reason - the safety and security of your pet is her her main concern. Likewise, she doesn't allow you to wander through her boarding facility. This, again, is to ensure the safety and security of your pet. She takes the tremendous responsibility of caring for your pet VERY seriously! During the time Leo was with Heather, she took the time to text us on how he was doing. Its been 3 yrs since I posted my first review! My how time flies when you're having fun! The reason I am able to have so much fun is because I have Heather of H & H Pet Services looking after my pets. Since my first review I have acquired a couple of turtles and three hens! Heather didn't blink in eye. Jumped right in with a smile and a giggle at my menagerie and got right to work while I was on vacation last week. She had all of my 7 of my pets for 7 full days! In response to a previous review I would like to state unequivocally that I have NEVER had anyone be so accommodating and flexible with my pets and with such a great attitude. You want to see inflexible and unaccommodating try PetsMart! But that's a different review! I love Heather, absolutely love her and her Dog House. The dogs are carefully and thoughtfully placed in a full bedroom with others dogs of their own size and temperament. I never worry that they will be in harms way. Heather has encouraged me along the way to not make a big deal out of saying goodbye by explaining that it is harder on the DOGS and myself. She was right! I have been using H & H Pet Services since 2008 and have ALWAYS been 100% completely satisfied! I travel a lot and will not allow my best friend stay anywhere except at H & H. As we approach H & H Pet Services my dog gets all excited and knows that I am leaving but that she will be in good hands. Sometimes when I pick her up she hesitates as if she would rather stay at H & H. It is a wonderful relief to know that my pet is safe, can run and play and will treated with love while I am away. H & H Pet Services provides AMAZING care and I highly recommend their services. read more

I took a two week trip to Mexico in late 2014 and for the first time since moving here 5 years ago, I needed a Pet Sitter. My former neighbor used to do it for me but she moved to Texas, so I was at a total loss as to how to find someone awesome enough to care for my 'kids', my 3 Tabby Boys. Heather came over to meet them for her initial visit and even my shy boy came out to see her. I got the feeling she really 'understands' animals and all 3 of mine trusted her immediately and allowed her to pet them. After a review of her website I contracted for her services while I was away and all I can say is, it was a Great Choice. She texted me daily and emailed photos. I knew my 'kids' were in good hands, and she brought in my mail as well. Heather went above and beyond, because when I came home, not only did they all 3 look great, but they were happy and well-adjusted, and not angry with me for going away! I recommend her with the highest confidence, you'll do yourself and your pets a favor by hiring Heather. She will have my continued and repeat business! read more

We used HH for a week with excellent results. We liked the fact that every room is wired for video so that each dog can be observed by Heather, the owner. At night the dogs are kept indoors. In the daytime, weather permitting, dogs have a huge grassy backyard to run & burn off energy. read more

Our babies love it at Auntie Heather's. They go to "school" there 4 days a week while their parents work, and they leap out of the car to go see her. Even though they are only there for the day and not overnight boarding, we still get pictures and messages about them. All the animals have plenty of room for themselves, and our 2 babies get to stay together in their room. She stores our supplies there, so we don't have to carry stuff in every day, and takes good care of our babies. She is so friendly and flexible with schedule changes. She is awesome. read more

Steer clear!!! We had to leave town for a wedding and were looking for a place for our dog to board. We settled on H&H because we were told they had a large yard where the dogs could play several times each day. We wanted our dog to have exercise, fresh air, and be able to run and play while we were gone so we wen't with H&H. What a mistake!!! First we must note that Heather--who runs H&H Pet Services--was quite rude to us. Maybe she is super nice to everyone else but to us she was very rude and abrasive. We didn't feel like valued customers--more like we were annoyances, bothering her just by being alive. We were a tad late--no more than 15 minutes--and she threw a big fit about it, like a child having a temper tantrum. So unprofessional!!! At that moment I knew we made a mistake but it was too late--our flight was in 2 hours and we didn't have time to find another kennel. She will set an appointment for when you can drop off your pet and when you can pick it up and she is NOT flexible at all. You come when its convenient for her--your time/schedule isn't important. We weren't sure what our assigned pick up time was and she got really upset about that and had another tantrum. "I emailed it to you 2 times!!!" The "kennel" is actually just a house--the bedrooms have been sectioned off into different areas for the different dogs. When we got there she rudely grabbed our dog (a small 1 year old shih tzu) by his leash and dragged him into a small caged area. Then before we could respond she started shooing us out--trying to get us out of the house as quickly as possible. I don't think anyone's ever been more rude to me--especially not someone I was paying! This woman clearly does not understand customer service, good manners, or even human decency. Now maybe we are over protective dog owners but this was our dog's first time away from home. He is very shy and easily scared by new people and places. We wanted a least a minute or two to say good-bye, calm him down, and make sure he was comfortable. But Heather just kept trying to kick us out of the house! We drove away quite worried about our little dog--we love him a lot and it added stress to our entire trip. After maybe two days or so we texted Heather to ask how he was. We asked how he was if he was playing with other dogs and having fun. She then told us that she hadn't been taking him out to play in the yard. We were so angry! That's why we wen't with H&H in the first place! Instead of playing out in the yard all day he was stuck in a small prison cell. We asked why she wasn't taking him out and she said that he wouldn't let her--he barks at her and hides in his cage. (We brought his cage from home so he'd have somewhere safe and familiar.) Well I can see why our dog didn't like her too much--believe me I understand. But isn't it her job to deal with dogs all day long! Plus this is not a German Shepard we are talking about its a very small (and quite harmless) shih tzu. Had it been me I'd spend 2 or 3 minutes trying to make friends with the dog. Maybe hand feed him a treat to try to get him to warm up to me. Then if that fails I would drag him out to the yard whether he wants to or not. That's my job after all and that's what I promised to do. If I was scared of getting bitten I'd go put on some heavy gloves or something. I dunno maybe I'm crazy, maybe it was truly impossible for her to bring him out to the yard. But I think to anyone with an ounce of dog handling skills this wouldn't be a big problem. Has she never had a problem like this before? Maybe I'm wrong but from my perspective this woman has no dog handling skills whatsoever and didn't care at all about our dog's well being. So the poor guy had to pee and poop in there and then just sleep next to it. He was stuck in there the entire time. No exercise, no fresh air, no interaction with other dogs or people. We got back to AZ in the morning but we had to wait until that night in order to pick him up. We tried to move the appointment up but she just said no. When we saw him he looked awful. Really I've never seen him (or anyone) so miserable. Of course he was SUPER happy to see us and know he was going home--that's to be expected. But he had clearly been through a lot of misery. I was so glad we were only gone for 5 days. His time there was not good for his health--physical, emotional, and mental. I'm glad he wasn't there any longer. What if we had been out of town for longer--maybe 2 or 3 weeks. I'm convinced a long stay like that would have lasting damage. We we're promised he'd be having fun running around and playing in a large outdoor area. Instead his stay was clearly torture for him and was a very unpleasant experience for us as well. I don't have anything against Heather personally but she was EXTREMELY rude to us and IMHO did a very poor job taking care of our dog. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! read more
