Sykes plumping came out twice to my 95 year old Mother's house, to fix her well. Sand was getting…read morein her pipes. The first visit there were 3 guys. They raised the well pump 3 feet and put a spin off valve on $300 for labor and $100 for spin off valve ( which I could have bought at Tractor Supply for $59.99 exact same part) bill over $400. Had to be paid before they left. Also, Sykes told us they would be there at 10am and they would call before they came. They didn't call. They arrived 1 hour early and my husband got there litle after they got there. Watch them they will try to take advantage if you don't keep your eye on them. We discovered 5 minutes after they left no water was coming in house. Called them 5 minutes after they left but they couldn't come back til Monday, this was Friday. Second visit showed up without warning on Monday (didn't receive a call again) they took the well pump out and discovered they couldn't fix and to call Starks Well Drilling. They were going to put well pump back in, we told them no because it would have been another $300 to put it back and it didn't work!!! Cost $600 still well was not fixed!!! $1100 dollars wasted!!!! Wouldn't recommend them. Sykes Plumbing way overpriced. $1100 and couldn't fix the well. They take advantage of the elderly with limited income!!!! Save some money and call Starks Well Drilling first!!!

Called their office and asked if they charge for estimates,…read morethe lady at office said when plumbers show up they would tell me if their was an estimate fee. I explained I dont want anyone to come out if there is an estimate fee. Later that day got a call from the plumbers saying they were in the area and they were coming by if I was home. So I said sure. They showed uo, didnt mention anything about a esrimate fee and started looking at my new build issues from the previous plumber who didnt finish. They threw out a verbal $14,000, could be more and I said I will contact them if I decide to hire them because had 3 more companies looking at issue. They left and I hired someone else that was about $6000 cheaper. Few weeks later I received a bill for $225 for estimate. I called them and explained No one ever mentioned they charged a fee for estimate, even when I specifically asked the question to the office worker on initial call and told them not to come out if they charged a fee. They said it didnt matter, I am to pay for their time spent providing me an estimate. Very unprofessional service and not trustworthy!

Not even a courtesy return call or text, just dust. Rude is not the correct word. I've found, often, these company's, such as Angie's List, do not vet the people they send. Those companies are, at best, mere bulletin boards for a wide range of "handymen". You are just as likely to get someone who has serious problems with work, more than inexperienced, worse, than you are to get a reputable repairman. I've been had by these "we send people out" companies before so to have Austin merely lie and be rude, well, it could have been worse. So beware, not just of AAs but any company that is but a trailer in the woods sending strangers out to your home and family.

Wednesday came and went and I did not hear from them so I called on Thursday morning to get an ETA. No answer. I called every couple hours, left two voicemails and eventually got the message that their voicemail box was full. Essentially, they ghosted me and I had to scramble to find someone else as I was on a time crunch. Disappointed because this place had a 5 star rating.
