So how exactly did you have all the parts before taking my car, like you told me you did, if you're still discovering parts you need nearly two months later? The delays would already be bad enough, but the customer service has made the entire situation even worse. I've tried repeatedly to get help, answers, or some kind of solution, and instead I've been met with what feels like complete indifference. There has been zero urgency, zero accountability, and terrible communication. If they had been upfront from the beginning and actually communicated with me, this would be a completely different review. Instead, I was given a week-and-a-half estimate after being assured the necessary parts were ready, and I'm now approaching TWO MONTHS without my car with no clear completion date. I trusted this shop with an expensive vehicle that I depend on, and I seriously regret it. Based on my experience, I would never bring another vehicle here, and I would strongly recommend anyone considering this shop think twice before handing them their keys. If you're expecting honest timelines, consistent communication, accountability, or a shop that seems concerned about how long you've been without your vehicle, my experience here has been the exact opposite. Almost two months. Still no car. Still waiting on parts they originally told me they had. Still no definite date for when I'll get my vehicle back. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

Given the size of the project and the fact that we are working with a mortgage company on a rehab loan, we requested a detailed written bid outlining the scope of work and costs. Initially, we were told this would be provided within a few days. However, we were later informed that we would need to pay an additional $500 just for them to return to the property and prepare a detailed estimate. This would bring our total to over $1,000 without any actual repair work being completed. When we questioned this and asked if they were interested in taking on the job, we did not receive a clear answer. For a project of this size, transparency and communication are critical. Charging such a high additional fee simply to provide a detailed bid--especially after already paying for an inspection--feels unreasonable and discouraging. Unfortunately, this experience has led us to look elsewhere for a company that is more straightforward.
