This was the worse shopping experience of the year for me. I ordered clothes for my grandchildren online for Christmas. Unfortunately, everything was too large. I had ordered from H&M several times and the cloths always fit, this time they did not. Therefore, we took the cloths back to the Montgomery Alabama store, they said that my 30-day return policy had expired, which was fine all I wanted to do is exchange the cloths. Well, everything in the store was either sizes 2,4,6 or 18...I need a 10 or12 for the girls. Of course, they didn't have the items I had ordered so we finally found two outfits that they liked but they were on the mannikins, and they refused to sell them to us, they said they weren't allowed to take things off the mannikins. I asked if they could put the money that was owed in the return/exchange on an H&M gift card that way we could only purchase H&M
items, they said NO. So, we kept shopping until we found a couple of outfits for one grandchild (nothing for the other) and I checked out. I had used Klarna to purchase the items in October, but they would not allow me to use it this time even though everything was paid for, and my account said that I was in good standing. They said the reason I couldn't use Klarna was because it was an exchange and not a new purchase. Wait! I purchased over $100 more worth of items after the returned items had been added up. Is that not a new purchase? The young lady that I believe was the manager said, we just can't do it. The young man that was checking us out said we should cancel the entire order, return the original purchase and give us the money back and then ring up everything as a new purchase, that way I could use Klarna but she said that since it was over 30-days he couldn't do it that way. So, I just paid for the additional purchase and left the store. I told them I would not shop at H&M again because of the policies and the unconcern of the manager for the customers needs. Don't shop at this store, the manager doesn't care about the customer and the H&M policies are beyond ridiculous. read more
