At the time, I did not have legal counsel due to a prior breakdown in representation, which he was aware of. His directive cited no law, offered no process, and provided no path to resolution. It was not a legal response--it was a shutdown. At no point did Mr. Goudsouzian address the central concern: that one party had been granted access to public evidence, and another was being denied the same without explanation. He made no effort to ensure legal compliance by the police or facilitate a fair, statutory process. Instead, he used his position to reinforce a decision that actively prevented transparency and accountability. This wasn't an isolated lapse--it reflects how Mr. Goudsouzian appears to wield his authority. When questioned professionally, he responded not with law or logic, but with institutional silence and restriction. Every exchange--emails, directives, denials--has been preserved and submitted to formal oversight bodies for review. I found this behavior dismissive and unprofessional. When someone is paying for your time and seeking legal guidance on an important matter, they deserve your full attention and respect. The consultation lasted less than 20 minutes, and I was told I did not appear to have a viable legal case. I understand that not every situation warrants legal action, and I would have accepted that conclusion if I felt my concerns had been carefully considered. Instead, I left with the impression that the consultation was rushed and that very little effort had been made to understand my circumstances. For those of us who work hard for our money, $250 is not an insignificant amount. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Joseph. Communication was inconsistent, and I often received conflicting instructions. At one point I was told to gather witnesses and prepare evidence, only to later be told not to proceed. I also ended up preparing and filing certain court documents myself despite retaining counsel to handle the matter. She would also frequently tell me that the judge did not like me and made comments such as, "it's not my problem, I'm not the one going to jail." Rather than feeling supported or properly advised, I often felt intimidated and discouraged. In my opinion, there were multiple instances where information was presented in a way that seemed intended to scare me rather than help me understand the legal process. My scheduled hearing did not proceed as a full hearing and was ultimately continued/rescheduled. I live in Arizona so it was extremely inconvenient.Throughout the process, I felt unprepared, uninformed, and unsupported. She was convinced there would be a resolution before the actual hearing, that didn't happen so she was not prepared AT ALL ,but she will expect you to be prepare and the same sentence tell you not to bring your witnesses. I understand weather closures happen, but customers with scheduled appointments should be notified in advance or at minimum there should be a clear notice posted--especially when people are traveling for time-sensitive services.
